Jose is a scammer. He's the only technician in his place. He's way way way delayed or backlogged. I would not recommend this guy for repair. He will just take your money for nothing. I brought my projector 5 months ago. We discussed about the focus problem. There's a shadow on font or the letters are a little blurry. So he asked for $25 deposit for diagnostic. So I paid $25. He didn't even give me a call and say that he can't repair a projector. He said there's nothing wrong with keystone. I told him the problem is the focus .not the keystone. This guy is crazy! He said I'm only expert for TV. So after 5 months I went there to show what is wrong with my projector. I took my projector back. And he took my $25 deposit because he said because of he's time diagnostic the projector. It looks like he didn't even check or diagnose my projector. This is a scam business!! Jose comes to my house charges $45 for a diagnosis but doesn't bring any tools at all, says that he need to take my 80" TV with him to make sure of the diagnosis, and that he would have the diagnosis within 2 days. When my husband calls him because he never called, he said it would cost us $1800 to fix the tv. But he was willing to trade our 80" tv that supposly it's working for a 55"tv that he has in his shop. Jose is wonderful and has done an incredible job with our TV. He has repaired 2 separate issues and has done a wonderful and fast job both times. His prices have been more than fair. While he does take your TV back to his shop to do the diagnostic and repairs, he gets the job done quickly and with great care to ensure a quality repair. Both repairs occurred around holidays/weekends and my TV was repaired and back in less than 48 hours each time. I have no hesitation in calling Jose to repair any of my TVs. Update: like a few of the other commenters, my issues with my TV returned after a couple of months. I'm not sure if it is the parts that are being used or what, but the problems returned for a 3rd time...I might try to find a different solution to my TV issues. read more

My 52 inch Samsung LCD was not displaying a picture correctly, it was just after the warranty expired, so we hoped it would be easily fixed. We selected Aveletronics because they came to my house and the TV was so big, it was difficult to move it. Long story short, after paying $75 for the diagnostics, I was told the LCD panel was bad and it was more expensive to replace it than to purchase a new one. Made sense to me, with the price of flat panel tv's now...so my husband pretty much gives the TV away on Craigslist...sadly, the next morning the person who took the unit thanked me that he was able to fix the tv and it looked beautiful. Obviously these guys have no idea what they are doing...If a random guy on Craigslist can fix it over night, I would expect a repair shop to be able to fix it. I'm out $75 and a 52 inch TV that should have been fixed! read more

I would not recommend them for Mobile TV repair. They told me that they could make house calls and when the guy came out, they had no tools to diagnose. Instead they said that all they could do is take it with them on their open bead truck. I expressed to them that I was not happy and that I was expecting them to at least spend some time to do a diagnoses. They did not and they charged me anyway. I paid them out of Karma and so I write this review to inform any prospective users that they do not come out and attempt to diagnose. read more

I would not do business with them again. They "fixed" my TV but created a bigger problem. i took it to another place and they fixed what AV electronics had messed up for far less than what Jose charged me. The tv repair guy in garden grove told me Jose ripped me off and that they could have fixed the original problem for less than what i paid with Jose at AV electronics. I took in a JBL Bluetooth speaker the mini SD connector needed to be replaced. Talked with Jose he told me an upfront charge of $15.00 for analysis i agreed. He told it should be a few days they'll need to source out for the connector. I called back 3 days later and asked if it was ready he replied the components are small and his technician broke the connector. He said they will buy another one and it should be ready middle of next week. I specifically told him please.let m know what the charges will be prior to working on it it might not be worth repairing, he said it should be a few dollars more, i said but please call me. Thursday May 19th i get a text speaker is ready the balance is $40.00. I called back Jose balance $400 f&#€#€ dollars? Yeah the parts are small, i replied i asked you to call me jose i told you it'll be around $40.00 Thats bs he said a few dollars more. So i paos $55.00 for repair when i could have bought a new one for $90.00. He thinks I'm stupid he trying to cover his loss for the damaged connector. Please be warned about doing business with this outfit. I took my VCR/DVR Recorder for repair. I was a little bit concerned because of genetrally poor reviews. However the shop was much closer to my home than the other shops that could do repairs. I told Jose the owner and Roger the technician that the unit was quite new and to be careful so that it would not get damaged. I was charged a diagnosis fee which I paid as this is fairly standard. Jose then called me the next day with a quote to repair the unit. Following this I confirmed with both Jose and Roger that they would be able to repair the unit and I was told they defintely would. The shop then went ahead with the repair. A few days later I was told by Jose the owner that it was fixed. I paid for the repair and picked up the unit. However the unit had not been fixed had the same problem as before. They reluctantly admitted that it was not fixed after first claiming that it was, and said they would look at it again. They kept the unit for over a month. I finally insisted to Roger to give me the status. He claimed that he could not find a part but would keep looking. I again had to keep calling to finally find out that he coud not repair it. When the unit was received back from Roger it had dings and long and deep scratches on it. He admitted that he must have done it. When I complained to Jose the owner, he would not deal with it and just referred me back to Roger. Roger said he would paint the unit though he would not be able to match the finish or remove the dings. When I tried to set up an appointment to show him the damage, he claimed he had a back problem and was not at work. After that he did not pick up the phone or return calls. During several phone calls to Jose about Roger's lack of resposniveness Jose tried to give me the runaround. Finally Jose said that I should just sue him. No shop owner makes a suggestions like this instead of trying to resolve the issue. This tells me that they play this game with many customers. I told him to keep the promise to try and fix it or give some form of compensation. We set an appointment to resolve this but when I reached there he was not there for over an hour. When he finally returned he made false statements that Roger never admitted damaging the unit. I told him that I have pictures of the unit the day it was brought in, in perfect condition. He refused to look at the pictures and said "go ahead and sue me." Not only does the shop not perform repairs they charge for but they also damage units and then make false statements. If you go to the shop you will see how run down it is and how little care they take of customers' units. You will see large screen tv sets just stacked one on top of the other without any protection. I would give a zero rating if available. Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustation and take your business to other shops who can and will repair your unit in a timely and professional way without damage to the screen or other parts of the unit. read more

What a joke!!! When I called he said they do home repairs. He said $45 and that will be put towards any repairs. The guy shows up with nothing. Walks in my house and says it could be several different things. It for sure was not the lamp. He said he would have to take my 65 inch TV with him and order parts next week. This is a total scam. I was having issues with no sound on my tv. I had a bad feeling from the time the guy called and said the repair was gonna be 200.00. I had no choice but to say ok since they had my tv. Once he brought it in the dvd was plugged in we had sound! I was so happy. Then I switched out to my apple tv device NO SOUND. He checked settings, switched out hdmi cables all sorts of stuff. He finally said my apple tv device was broken. I have only had it for 4 months and I know Apple makes great products. So I Google the problem and the fix was am easy reset from my apple tv remote. Problem solved! By ME. He knew he was wrong and said I only had to pay the 45.00 service fee. Hmmmmm from 200.00 down to 45.00. My advice: do not call these guys. Always insist work be done in your home so you can actually see if in fact a part has gone bad. Always be skeptical and Google your problem first so you get an idea of what the problem is. Ask a ton of questions too. Someone who knows their skill will be able to answer all your questions. read more

They are very underhanded in their pricing. They do not fully inform you of the charges. They just come up with a number in their head while they are in your home. They were going to use the service fee(that I thought was free) and apply to repair which I had no problem with. Then he tells me that no that is only if I fix BOTH tvs.It is a total ripoff.
