Still the WORST BUBBLE TEA PLACE EVER. I can't believe I spent $10 on 2 small powdered bubble teas. What a f*cking rip off. We were craving for bubble tea and decided to give it another chance even with a negative experience last time. We got a strawberry milk tea and a kiwi bubble tea. Strawberry was fine flavor-wise, but the texture was really off - very powdery and thick - almost like they added flour to it. They definitely used powder again. The worst was the kiwi bubble tea. It tasted so bad, almost like cucumbers instead of kiwi. Wtf??? Texture was the same - thick and powdery. It also had some artificial chewy and gummy kiwi pulp inside. Gross. This place is a hangout spot for literally a swarm of teenagers, which is why they think the bubble tea here is the best or something. Never coming back here again. read more

I came here at a co-worker's recommendation, since he claimed it was one of the best tapioca tea places he's tried. However, I wasn't very pleased with the green tea bubble drink that I got. The bubbles weren't very chewy, and the taste of the milk tea was not right. I wouldn't go out of my way to drive out to Niles, and I'd rather go to Kung Fu Tea in Evanston, since it has more authentic and customizable options--the sugar, ice, temperature of the drinks can be tailored. read more

One of the things I miss most since moving away is Bubble Tea! This place is adorable and welcoming, with plenty of comfy seating. The menu is extensive with dozens of flavors - lack of fresh fruit doesn't bother me. I love the Pear with tapioca. I also like how they use the plastic seal over the top so you drink can't spill out! read more

Such a wide variety of flavors to choose from but it's very hard to stray from your favorites. Adding jelly, lychee, or tapioca definitely make it a lot better. There isn't a lot of places to sit since it is a smaller establishment especially when it gets busy. Having a drive thru would be interesting but don't think it's possible. read more

I've tried this place twice now - the first time was an honest try and I honestly hated it but I thought it was because I ordered something different than I usually get. The second time, I ordered what I always get whenever I get bubble tea and I was totally disgusted and annoyed by the entire experience. I walked in on a Friday afternoon - the place was empty - the girl who helped me acted as if I was an inconvenience to her day. My bubble tea itself tasted like it was full of chemicals and all artificial flavory aftertaste. Yum Yum Yum. LOTS of combination choices (but then of course not using fresh fruit). I had the mango lychee. Very good. Service was friendly. Exteremly fast service and amazing bubble tea!! I usually get honeydew avalanche with tapioca and lychee jelly. It's creamy, flavorful and the lychee jelly takes it to another level. They have different flavors as well that are worth the try: Banana coconut, peach avalance or taro avalnche. They are the best bubble tea in Chicago. There are places closer to my house but we specifically go to this one. They are very nice as well. My personal favorite is milk bubble tea. This place never disappoints. The bubble tea and staff are really a 10/10. Never have I had an order taste bad or have a bad customer experience. Only reason I knocked off a star is because the place is always overly crowded (especially at night). I think moving to a new location and setting up places for teens to sit would be a super cool idea. A lounge like it is now, but bigger so you don't feel trampled over when you're inside. I've been going to this bubble tea since it was chill bubble tea and I've never been disappointed. Their drinks are amazing and fresh every time. The tapioca is chewy and consistently good as it should be. It gets very crowded especially in the summer time since it's a very popular spot and I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my drink and they've never gotten my order wrong even with that many people in there. I went to this place for the first time over the weekend. I had trouble with my GPS but it is easy to find, it was just some random glitch. Inside was very neat, clean and inviting, probably a great place to catch up with friends or just hang out, I was on a mission to try the teas so I didn't hang around too long. The bubble tea: SO many choices and all really great. They are blended so well not icy and inconsistent just like a really good slurpee, I got one fresh fruit smoothie and one of their most famous choices( a mix of flavors) and both were delicious. It does not taste artificial or gross, i appreciated this a great deal. Also the drinks were not excessively sweet, they tasted just right. I only added tapioca but there are a bunch of other things like jelly that you can add. I just wanted to take it easy on my first go. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. From a price point a small drink was around $5, I mean common! Try this place out, great atmosphere, awesome drinks, and quick friendly service. read more

By far my favorite bubble tea place around. I would highly recommend the fruity flavors. My favorites are strawberry/raspberry/banana and I also love the mango/peach. Ordered a a large taro milk tea with tapioca which came out alright. Tasted more like a milk tea than a taro milk tea, They have a large selection of drinks, seems like the fruit flavors are of better quality. Tapioca was done well, no hard pieces with the right amount of chew on them. I'd recommend the place if you're passing by or already really close to the location. Otherwise there are other bubble tea places that offer more in terms of selection or are similar in pricing. read more

This place seems to be very popular within the area (I'm from out of town). One day I decided to stop by with some of my friends and check it out. I've gone to Avalanche a couple of times now. The interior is very cute, very nicely decorated. It's a great place to hang out with friends as well. It gets crowded very easily, but I don't really mind; I just choose not to stay there. There are so many flavors and drinks to choose from, so I definitely admire the variety. The bubble tea is good, but it's not really my favorite. I guess it depends on your taste and what you're looking for. I feel like there's something different, or there's something missing - but I can't really pinpoint what it is. However, if I'm ever in the area, I will still come back and give it another try. read more

I'm quite picky about my tapioca in my bubble tea and let me tell you that the bubbles are cooked to PERFECTION. They're so soft and they just melt in your mouth. However, the bubble tea itself is OK. I've had better but Avalanche is close to my house and the other places I go to are farther away. The prices are fairly cheap. Really good Bubble Tea. I'd say it has a really good atmosphere, which is fantastic because it goes along with great drinks. Usually get the Cool Blue Raspberry and it is fantastic.
