CHOP SHOP. Literally the worst surgery experience of my life. The receptionists for pre op are extremely unorganized and are constantly changing what they tell you. The only reason they could be like that is for plausible deniability every step of the way. Showed up at 9am for pre op because my email said ANY TIME BEFORE NOON. Was told to come back at 11 and that I would meet my doctor and discuss what I wanted for my surgery the next day. Showed up at 11 and waited there 2 hours never even met the doctor until 10 minutes before my surgery where he came in and marked me before I was even able to express my needs and wants. When I showed him my wish pic he quick glanced at it and said, "sure that's possible." I went under shortly after telling myself I was fine and awoke to 2 nurses literally force waking me up with the stick under my nose and THROWING me in a wheel chair after a tummy tuck, bbl and lipo 360 combo. With no recovery. This was right when I opened my eyes. I told them I was extremely dizzy and had to use the restroom and they rushed me to the car picking me up and told me to get in. The email said there was a couple hour recovery at the center which was mandatory to monitor vitals after such an extreme procedure and that NEVER happened. They only want your money and do not care about your safety, needs or well-being. The bbl pillow they give you is basic and standard and they promise you a " garment" which if your getting a combo procedure is a super cheap quality binder I actually brought my old one from my previous c section and used that one more. Everywhere I went I had to wait and be patient but when it was my turn they would quickly rush me out and not listen then proceed to dick around with coworkers instead of addressing patients. The massage department is cleaner and more organized but I was promised 5 massages and only received 2. They were also changing so many girls doctors around the day before surgery. read more

He is only concerned for himself and that's it. 360/BBL planned, paid and ready to go and less than 72 hours prior to surgery on a Friday-he tells me I need a cardiac clearance for abnormal EKG-C'mon man you knew about this abnormal EKG *sinus brady* 2 weeks ago and you waited until 72 hours out on a Friday. I had to cancel him and all plans because the trust is BROKEN. Dr. Moradian be a MD, physician, doctor all the time not just when it is convenience for you. Furthermore, think about how your lack of accountability and forthcoming could also affect others. At the end of the day, I was just paper to you. I had a lipo 360 and I am loving my results! The doctor's hands were very meticulous in making sure my love handles, back and tummy were perfectly contoured. The doctor as well as all the stuff, specially Nadia, made me feel right at home and treated me like family. They answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable before the procedure. The only difficult thing was the pain after the procedure and not having pain medication at the moment of waking up. Mainly because my caregiver was not back on time with my prescribed pain med. The facility is extremely GHETTO. Nobody knows anything unless it's something in their department. They have attitudes, their never on time. They give you all kind of extra fees after you just went to pre-op and they didn't mention these fees (cell saver $550) I was supposed to get my Lipo360 on Tuesday 6/08/21 but got rescheduled the day of after being there 5 hours waiting because they were having electrical problems so I had to receive my surgery the following Tuesday 6/15/21. The only reason I gave them 3 out of 5 stars is because my doctor (Dr. Moradian) did well on my body and the staff did compensate me for my abrupt reschedule (gave me my refund on my 3 extra massages so I got 5 free & gave me half off on the cell saver so I paid $225) I was satisfied with that but if I need to get surgery again I am not going there. The fuss with the patients and all it's a bit much for me... other than that go at your own risk everybody experience is different my friend went in May and didn't have any problems... Dr. M did an amazing job on my breast aug he was thorough with answering any questions I had. Listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me realistic expectations. I trusted him fully the day I met with him and consulted with him about my BA and another procedure of which he respectfully reassured me I don't need. That is when I knew I chose the right doctor who is looking for my best interest. Leilani my surgical coordinator was great at communicating with me back and forth through email and phone. The online portal was easy to use, included a countdown for my surgery and was easy to navigate to submit pictures, and post payments. Overall happy with my experience at Avana. read more

I went to this company for a mommy makeover and left with just a tummy tuck and they still owe me a refund for my boobs which they have not done and be carful because they will do a switch last minute with the doctor which they did with me 30 mins before my surgery I was scheduled with doctor scurlock but he didn't do my surgery another doctor did and they still owe me for my boobs not being done make sure you screenshot your invoice before your surgery because they will change it after My surgery was in august of 2021 it now November and still have yet to see my money returned this company owes me over 2grand read more

I had surgery March 23, 2021. By far the lack of communication is mind blowing. First of all, after surgery. This place is so busy and overcrowded. It looks like a chop shop and people are walking around from a bloody scene from Jason. They haul u in after surgery where you sit there and wait in pain for them to call you back. I was sent home the very first day without pain meds. Every pharmacy was out of pain medication. I was scheduled to be there the day of surgery at 10:30 am. I was called back to the waiting area around 12. I finally came out of surgery finished up around 9:00 pm. I have called several of times after my surgery asking for a return phone call from Dr. dress to go over what my procedure and I still haven't got a phone call from him. So i had a bbl by Dr scott Moradian in 2020 and i just got my breast augmentation by Dr Mameniskin 1 week ago april 28 2021 . They both did such a great good on me .they are Amazing Doctors . The only thing is the communication is horrible is sucks so bad .they will blow you up about the deposit one you do the deposit you will never hear from them again .so they don't call you to let you know if they received all the paperwork if they got it nothing .my last time here a week ago was the worst horrible i was trying to get in touch with my coordinator Daisy not once did she ever emil me back or try to reach out to me .i was told they had all my paperwork. But went to the pre op nobody knew were my paperwork was.they made go in circles its was beyond stressful. I highly recommend both Doctors. But please be careful make sure your on top of all your paperwork that has to be done and always. Get copys for yourself to take it to Avana because your paperwork will get lost .also one thing i do not like is one you get your surgery done, when they wake you up you are being rushed to get out like I'm in pain I'm weak .they make / help you put your cloths on and bye .. If your wondering if you should go here for surgery, the answer is NO. I went here and got a 360 & BBL from Dr. Mameniskis and his surgery was ok and he was a nice person. However, the GHETTO & unorganized customer service is the issue. The girls that work there don't communicate with each-other. There is a high turnover with employees so they don't know who is doing what. It takes forever to get a call back, and they are rude. My mother decided to go there for a tummy Tuck, she turned in the questionnaire in january of 2021 that listed possible healthier issues. I booked our plane tickets, hotels, rental car etc. Dr. Dress didn't actually see the questionnaire until the week of May 10th and denied her surgery. It took almost 5 months to review a questionnaire? We ended up not being able to get a refund on some of the money for hotels, cars, plane tickets etc. I'm sure Dr. Dress coordinator Brittney Rodriguez ended up quitting or not handing over the paper work to him until last minute. I needed a revision from Dr. Mameniskis and I sent over pics 3 months ago and I still waiting on a call back. I've talked to the office about 10x (separate calls) about the revision and still not call back THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. I highly RECOMMEND going somewhere else. From what I can tell, Dr. Dress did an excellent job. I didn't meet or talk to him until the morning of surgery. He is very pleasant and down to earth. He isn't one of those cocky doctors. I spoke with him maybe 10 minutes before surgery which included the time he took to draw on me. He probably would have took longer, if I had any questions, but I didn't. I followed up the next day with medical assistant at my massage appointment and I have seen her everyday after my massages. I will see the NP before I go home tomorrow. I am sure I would have seen the NP sooner if I had problems, but it has been smooth sailing. Everything is healing very nicely. I was off pain meds by Sunday and was driving myself to appointments by Monday. The draw back are you will not meet or talk to him until the morning of surgery. I coordinated my surgery to include consultation through email with surgery coordinator. The pre-op office is a bit chaotic. They have several doctors so there is a lot of people in and out for appointments. 90% of the staff speak English has 2nd language. They are all so sweet though. I didn't like that fact that I was rushed out of recovery. I was still shaking from anesthesia when I left. I would say they recovery staff is not that great. They were in too big a hurry to get you out the door. I would suggest booking your surgery for his 1st appointment. They tend to over book, which I noticed that some people scheduled for Friday had surgery on Saturday. My surgery was his 1st. The higher prices you pay for local doctor I would assume would include more one on one time with your surgeon prior and after surgery. I haven't had any issues so I didn't mind paying $4,500 instead of $25,000. The work is the same quality just don't get that personal time with your surgeon. That my honest opinion read more

I'm not happy with the service I have been receiving. In the beginning there was about 10 different coordinators reaching out to me and texting me calling me while I was working. I finally connected with one who was texting me and emailing me almost every day until I put a deposit and when I put a deposit I don't really hear from her as much and she's not as responsive as she was before I put the deposit. She asked me about five times regarding the date I wanted and it was still entered incorrectly into the portal. I also uploaded my credit card images, but they were removed from the portal so I had to upload them again. Then they were telling me that I needed to send a marriage license because my debit card and my ID had two different last names. I emailed it to the coordinator and apparently she didn't receive it, so I had to text it to her. I just feel like they were more interested in my money than my health. I was asking questions about the daily vitamins that I take because of my bariatric patient and she had no answer for me told me to connect with my preop coordinator which I sent an email to and I never got a response. I also called and no one ever got back to me about it. I do understand that the surgery is not for a few months but I want to prepare myself. read more

I canceled my procedure and was ok with them keeping the $400 per the signed contract. She then tell me it's going to take 90 days for a refund of the rest. I said the contract says 30. She then replied due to the pandemic the banks are taking that long to process refunds. I guess she thought I was stupid or something. I then contacted my bank. She basically was begging me not to saying it would then take longer. I use to handle disputes so no they'll give you a certain date to respond. I disputed the amount owed back to me and sent them in the contract. Now as for the Dr. he was awesome. I was able to FaceTime him with any questions I had. He advised me on what would be safe and what can be done per the Florida laws. I appreciated that. read more

Very unprofessional company. The doctor that I booked to get surgery with Dr.Earle is no longer at the company. I had to hear from other patients that are on a Facebook group that he was no longer with the company. They never tried to communicate with me and when I bought this to their attention, they tried to put me Dr.Moridian who is not even a board certified plastic surgeon. When I told them that I wanted my money back they told me they would call me in 24-48 hours. That time had passed and still no call. I heard they tried to hold the deposit and only give back $100 out of the $500 even though they are the ones who breached their contract. I had no choice but to call my bank & file a dispute for the deposit. Prices may be appealing but the communication is horrible. Total waste of time & money. If you want to have surgery with Dr.Earle I suggest you contact Pure his private practice and they will take care of you. So I am one of many women that were left wonder who, what, when, and why! Earlier this week the surgeon I originally booked left the clinic(not sure of the details as to why so I won't speak on that). But this left me in a bind. I had already booked and paid for hotel room, arranged 3 weeks off from work which required a lot of arm twisting so I was very upset. I was a wreck when I saw the news on social media to say the least. With tears in my eyes I immediately emailed my coordinator Neylin. It was the middle of the night so didn't expect to hear back until the next day. To my surprise I heard back from her yesterday morning and she advised me of my options. After talking to her I decided to go with Dr. Moradian. I could not risk losing my date, mind you I have lost almost 75 lbs preparing for this life changing procedure. Today I received a FaceTime call from Dr. Moradian himself and Gigi. This was a total surprise to me but much needed. I felt like the genuinely cared about reassuring me that my procedure would proceed as planned. He spoke to me as if I was a friend congratulating me on my hard work and telling me my expectations are achievable. I am scheduled 12/20/19 and I cannot wait to achieve my booty goals. I know that everything happens for a reason and truly believe Avana did right by me. They are not charging me any additional fees and they even honored a special that offers more massages and post op supplies that wasn't available when I originally booked. Stay away!!!! I am not one to typically Yelp a business but I am for this place. I just got a call from their manager asking if I was still getting my procedure done. A procedure that I clearly cancelled over a month ago had she read the notes in my chart. I had my BBL scheduled with Dr. Earle for beginning of October but Dr. Earle quit on Avana. After hearing the news in September all the way from California I decided to cancel my surgery as the whole purpose of my travels was for Dr. Earle to do my surgery. They offered another doctor less experienced or a refund of my money. It has been OVER 30 days and no refund. How unethical you are to hold patients monies. I am not the only patient who has been waiting for refunds. I was lucky enough to track down Dr, Earle at his private practice at Pure Plastic Surgery and have the procedure I should have had at Avana at Pure. There was 3 other Avana patients in the Pure waiting room discussing how Avana has not refunded their monies either. To hold a patients money not just our deposit but large money amounts towards our balances is unprofessional unethical and downright criminal. Your practice suffering that much now that Dr. Earle is gone you cannot give patients their money back but want to discuss the 30 day process that has already been 39 days? I finally received the faja in the wrong size.I spoke to Diana every day to confirm that I wanted a large since the current one I'm in wearing in size XL is too big.she assured me it's a large.Of course the general manager is so incompetent she will not apologize nor acknowledg'd a mistake made.I would never deal with this agency again.If I can start all over I would have had surgery at Jolie's. do not do bussiness with this facility!!! they are scamming people out of money and they will not refund your money no matter what. they will ignore your calls, e-mails, and even letters. there is a $500.00 deposit that is required for any surgery procedure. if for any reason you cannot proceed or if they decide to cancel. they state that you will only receive $100.00 back and they keep $400.00 of that deposit. good luck getting that $100.00 back. it has been over a month and i still have not received my refund. beware!!! if you request a refund you will always be given the runaround. you will always be told "she is out of the office." or "she is at lunch." you will be told that you will "receive a call back" from whoever it is that you wish to speak to, but you never do. they lie and say it takes 30 days for a refund. when i contacted my bank today, they said "there is no such thing as a 30 day refund, a refund only takes 7 days". i was promised by "samantha" in the financial department the full refund of $500.00 on september 3, 2019 since dr. abuzeni would no longer be working there. she stated and quote "since the doctor will no longer be working there wouldn't be a need to keep the deposit." she then went on to state that i would receive my refund in 30 days. i even asked her over and over "the full $500.00?" she said "yes, that's no problem." after several failed attempts to reach a manager or someone in the billing department to get an update on my refund. i finally spoke to a manager by the name of "lisandra" on october 2, 2019 who in a round about way called "samatha" a liar. claiming that i will only receive $100.00 back dispite what "samantha" said. "lisandra" also claims that "samatha" put in the notes for the refund department that i was to be issued $100.00. she then stated that it was going to take longer than 30 days for my refund. she then said that i would receive a confirmation e-mail from the refund department. which i never did. on october 7, 2019 i called once again to figure out why i had not received an e-mail or an update. "dayana" told me that the merchant for my card had changed so they would have to send me a check. "dayana" asked for my address which i did not feel that i should have to provide once again because i had already sent a notarized letter to their facility with my address in the header. i however did provide it once again. after ending our conversation i called back immediately and i asked "dayana" why did they need my address if i sent a letter that already contained my address? feeling as though it should be in the records and documented. she claims that she did not have access to the letter. (funny thing is, i had the post office add tracking for that letter and i was notified that it was accepted by the facility. however after accepting the letter they still chose not to respond, i had to contact them. i gave them ample amount of time to respond to my letter. approximately 5 bussiness days.) "dayana" stating that she did not have access to the letter only confirmed to me that they did infact receive my letter.) at that point i demanded to speak with a manager. "dayana" stated that she would have the manager("lisandra") call me back. when "lisandra" finally did call me back she stated as well that there was a problem with my card and merchant and that she would have the refund department issue me the check and have it expedited. today is october 10, 2019 i contacted my bank to get an update on said dispute. after receiving an e-mail from the refund department of avana plastic surgery saying that i would not be issued my refund since i filed a dispute with my bank. (the dispute was filed on august 31, 2019 after reading the reviews of people who went through hell to receive their refund if they received it at all.) while speaking with my bank i was informed that a refund does not take longer than 7 days and that there is no such thing as a 30 day refund. i also inquired about the apparent merchant issue with my card and they told me that my card was fine and that nothing had changed on the card company's end. after that i called avana plastic surgery and i was told by "dayana" that if i want my refund i have to close my dispute with my bank. yeah right, like that'll happen! when i asked "dayana" for the recorded conversation between "samantha" and myself i was told it was not recored...however when you call you are informed by the automated system that all calls may be recorded for quailty assurance purpose. yet when i spoke to "lisandra" on october 2, 2019 she was apparently able to pull up the notes from my conversation with "samantha" from september 3, 2019. i would like to add that i was once again promised a call back from the manager by "dayana". which i have yet to receive. i would also like to add that my surgery was scheduled for october 22, 2019 i cancelled on august 27, 2019 after receiving the email from "ilianny perez" stating that dr. abuzeni would no read more

Dr. Mameneskis is terrible. I had a tummy tuck in 2013 and it looked like I got shot in the stomach from a bullet. The skin didn't connect and I had a big black area. He kept having me to come in to see him, but no good results. Finally, I saw his Manager and results were good, but not perfect. However, I had a terrible scar in the center of my stomach and on my 108 lb. body where my stomach is now stick out no matter what because the muscles were messed up. Not a good doctor. I just wanted to share my experience with LIPO 360 only! Honestly idek if mameniskis was in the room for my surgery. This is my first time ever doing something like this and when the girls say the communication sucks with avana, IT SUCKS! I tried reaching out multiple time with questions concerning how am I going to be accommodated etc etc. it's really an assembly line. I got there at 10:45, did get back sooner but waited until almost 3 to finally get all the way back. My surgery finished around 7 and my gf was with me. I feel like I was rushed out. No verbal post op care given. I'm complaining because I work as a dental assistant and I repeattttt myself soooo many time to patients! Also...... If you all don't know your medical history and problems, try to figure it out before you get surgery so you can be healthy! My iron was fluctuating between 10.1-10.5. The day before my surgery it ended up being 11.1. I wish I wasn't cleared and I wish my PCP guided me a little bit better. I ended up going to the hospital y'all. I personally didn't have a good experience. If your iron is lowwwww don't rush! It dropped to 7.3 and I have to go to the hospital and get a blood transfusion, calcium, iron, and pain meds via iv! I had a terrible experience here, the communication sucks, the staff is horrible they treat you however & don't show any care for you. My appointment was originally with Dr. Moradian they tried to change my appointment around when it was too late for me to cancel my flight from California so I had to settle for Dr. Mameniskis. When I made it to Miami I found out Dr. Moradian doesn't even work there. Dr. Mameniskis didn't take his time on my surgery at all, I look the same way I did before my surgery. When I spoke with him about how I felt, he was awfully nonchalant, tried arguing with me about how I felt, and had an attitude. He showed me the pictures I took before surgery & they were clearly edited & when I told him that he said "the computer must've edited them" that doesn't make sense at all. I'm very unsatisfied & I have to have surgery again because he messed my BBL up & of course I have to wait 6 months and have to go somewhere else. One butt cheek is higher than the other. He refuses to give me my money back or even half, he has no sympathy for me AT ALL. read more

This was a huge disappointment. I never did make it to surgery, but perhaps this was a blessing in disguise from some of these other recent reviews. The coordinator booked me for two identical lipo surgeries instead of one. The duplicate bookings led to a lot of further confusion including receiving an email that the doctor would not be able to perform my surgery. I called and emailed multiple times and didn't receive an update. Finally, after essentially stalking them I find out no the surgery will proceed. By now, this surgery is only a month away and I need to book my flights and recovery house and also find a local doctor to do an EKG, chest X-ray, full labs and physical within two weeks since they require the results and full payment two weeks before actual surgery. Not to mention all recovery houses require advanced payment up to three weeks before scheduled surgery. I simply could not do all this on such short notice and during covid when the doctors offices are already so busy. I asked to cancel 33 days before my surgery. They ignored this request and sent me more medical questions I had already completed. Now I'm scared they will charge me to cancel, when in fact it was their delay in communication that caused me to be unable to proceed. Stay away from this headache! read more

They make patients feel uncomfortable from the moment we first come in on procedure day. They are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and the staff literally makes stuff up as they go. There was absolutely NO "special feeling" or benefits before, during, or after my procedure. My results were horrible. The treatment from their staff is HORRIBLE! Just DON'T GO! Avana Plastic Surgery treats their patients like a number, a file folder, certainly NOT a person that is paying hard earned money for good customer service and a job well done. I had my surgery with them a week ago I was not well attended by the receptionists. They didn't give me Total attention. I came back from my city trip. The doctor did not give me a document authorizing my trip. I had several problems at the airport. I am very swollen, they didn't give me all the horrible support this clinic they just look at the money the sewing on my belly was horrible and I wasn't even informed when the stitches didn't fall if I need someone to remove a bad clinic and professionals my surgery was on day 06/30/20 I would have the right to massage, it was not done, the place was overcrowded, their work really leaves total disorganization. read more

Ladies, don't fall for the low low prices. This place is horrible. The customer service is horrible and then on top of it they are trying to keep my deposit because the doctor scheduled to perform my procedure left the practice. So now I either have to pick another doctor or only get 100 of my $500 back like I'm the one responsible for the doctor leaving. This place is very unprofessional and dishonest. I'm sure they will go downhill since Dr. Earle left. Just go to Dr. Earle at Pure Plastic Surgery. I paid an deposit back in December of 2020 and sent all my necessary documents after that. My first nurse coordinator Deisy was terrible. She barely responded to my emails and never passed my pictures to the doctor for an consultation. I asked many times about an consultation and never got an answer. Then I got a new nurse right before my surgery date that was in June of 2021. So they had 5 months to view my case and never did. I made it to Miami on June 8th, 2021, met Dr. Mameniskis the first time and he said he couldn't perform the breast implant surgery and said i need to pay for a lift a day before my surgery. The inconvenience of this ordeal. I paid $3600 for implants and $100 cash drug test. I asked for a refund because of what they did to me. They penalized me for canceling, although the doctor said he couldn't not do the surgery. The uncaring attitude. Glad I canceled. I work for the government so I will be pursuing charges to get my money back. All of it. read more
