Sent in cancellation request, got an auto-reply saying request received and company "working on it". Then cancellation did not go through an order delivered. There were broken stems in the bouquet, there was no water in the vase, and the vase was broken. This business is crap and I would give ZERO stars if Yelp allowed me. DO NOT USE! This is a front for a scamming business and they will take your money! RED FLAG #1: I ordered via their on-line platform to have $59.99 flowers delivered the next day for my sister who just had surgery. It wasn't until I finished paying and received my confirmation that I saw the extra $25 fee attached to my order! The total order with shipping and the ridiculous fees was $109!! I make arrangements & Florals for others, but I couldn't make & deliver a funeral arrangement for a beloved family member who passed unexpectedly. So like a dummy I went and ordered from an florist on line, I actually called and spoke with someone. This person suggested I upgrade the order so it would be very full, so sucker I was, I did, paid around $89.00 from Ava's Flowers, big mistake! Here is my story.... I must count myself as one of the fortunate recipients' of Avas Flowers. I did get a full refund with not much hassle other than humiliation, shock at a very emotional time and not because the arrangement looked like it was a week old grocery store bouquet and the so called "card" with my heartfelt message on the back of an old, ripped delivery advertisement, shoved into the flowers, not even on a pick, the only thing that looked like the original picture, was the ugly ribbon, that I told them not to put it on, plus it would have cost another extra $5.00. The only reason I received the refund was that I told them I needed it for a funeral visitation that was only 7 hours. I specifically told them that it must be there, next day before 12pm and it did not arrive till 5pm, two hours left of service. They did call me back right away the next day, after I emailed, texted and called them immediately, while still at the funeral home. They did apologize and asked me if I would like to have it resent, this was as I was on my way, next day to the funeral mass, I said no, it needed to be at the funeral home for viewing, they apologized again, then said how about 50% refund. I said why would I except that, I explained all the wrong aspects of the so called arrangement and it didn't matter what it looked like to them. They have a clause of substitution, however they said, I see here that you specified that it had to be there before 12pm next day and it did not arrive till 5pm, we will issue you a full refund. I did receive the full refund today. My suggestion is to not use them ever, but if you do, specify a specific time it must be delivered by, then if it is not delivered by that time, they breeched the contract and you will get your money back, but just go to a actual florist, brick and mortar, call or on line and order, I should have known better, I learned my lesson! I ordered my mom a bouquet for her birthday. Paid for a card, a ribbon, the bouquet itself, and delivery fees. Her birthday rolls around and I receive a notification that the flowers were delivered, only they weren't. I called their customer support line and went around in circles for over two hours dealing with the most unhelpful automated messaging system before giving up and calling their sales department, at which point two separate women said they would transfer me to someone who could help (spoiler alert: the calls dropped both times) I received a lacklustre email telling me that they created a ticket for my case and they would get back to me within 24hrs. I never heard from them, so I called on my own the next day and after being told by a sales rep that I would be transferred to a REAL PERSON who would be able to help me, I instead was transferred to yet ANOTHER automated system that had me complete a 3 question survey about my experience before hanging up on me. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication on the 'customer support' end of the business, if it can even be called that, and I'm annoyed that I dropped $100 on an absolute farce. I've since disputed the charge with my bank seeing as no one at Ava's Flowers cares to answer the phone or offer any genuine assistance. Save your money and find a local florist to order from instead, or better yet just hand deliver your loved ones a bouquet. My flowers looked nothing like the flowers I ordered, they not only had different flowers but looked smaller than the "large" bouquet that I ordered. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right by contacting them but had no luck by phone or by sending a message thru their site, which just left me in limbo, maybe due to so many other complaints! I needed to send flowers to an another employee's grandfather's funeral last weekend. Had ordered through a link on his obituary page a few days before the funeral. Thought I was set. Nope. A day before the funeral I got an email that the order was cancelled because the florist couldn't make it and deliver it to the funeral home by 10. Two days lost. This is now late Friday afternoon, the day before a 10 am funeral. I googled florists local to the funeral home (I know should have done this the first time) and placed my online order with Avas, paying extra (happily) for the rush delivery and added a note that I would really appreciate all they could do to help me out of this mess. I was told the arrangement I selected would be 24 inches long (several plants in a basket). But it's only 12 inches long. The lady I spoke to on the phone took it order and advised me to get the large size - 24 ". So for $125 I got chalk, average looking arrangement. I should have looked at the reviews. This company is by far the worst flower company ever!!! Talk about ruining a special thought and making it a stressful situation. They delivered the flowers and didn't even ring the doorbell or knock on the apt door to the address they were given. Instead they went and set them down on some tarps that were layed out ( the apartment complex was being painted) and in front of the mailboxes. They could have at least left them in front of the unit we were in. But anyways the flowers never got to me because I didn't know they were out side and especially in front of mailboxes. The man that ordered them from me told me that they said they delivered them and he had taken a photo of the flowers laying on the tarp. Like are you kidding me? I am disgusted. I am sick to my stomach. I am repulsed. I was mortified when my boss sent me the photo of the flowers that were delivered to her. "Ava's Flowers" should be renamed to "Ava's False Advertised Sad Arrangement Flowers". The arrangement that was delivered was appalling. It looked NOTHING close to the picture online. While the pictures online are for reference only, the arrangement that was delivered was not even conceptually close. This business blurs the line between false advertisement and "inspired by". With 4 sad white roses and what appears to be clippings of a Douglas fir tree, it makes up for a mortifying arrangement. I wouldn't even place these flowers on my worst enemy's grave. I will be ordering flowers from a reputable florist to mourn the loss of my $60 + tax + service fee + delivery fee "flower arrangement". Do NOT use their service and pay a ridiculous amount of money for an arrangement that looks like a 4-year old put it together. Terrible service, very poor value. I paid expedited delivery, luxury upgrade prices and found the pathetic bouquet 2 days later, with no service yet. DO NOT try this company. I ordered a bouqet of lowers (Glorious Christmas Bouquet - LUXURY GRADE) and paid for the luxury upgrade. The photo shown here with he gold vase is the basic bouqet sold and with the upgrade, it is supposed to be bigger, more flowers for the upgrade. I also paid the "before 2pm" fee. At 2pm, the flowers had not arrived. I needed them for a 3pm event. I'd specified for them to be delivered to the office or my cell# called. I received no call. receptionist received no flowers. We searched most of the doors on the campus to see if they'd been left somewhere. We could not find them. I tried to get a refund but because it was Satuday I couldn't reach a live person...the most I could request through the customer service tools was a refund on the b42pm delivery fee. Which I did receive. I tried to contact Ava's on Monday...the most I could do is submit a ticket. I received a prompt reply stating that a ticket had been opened. In two days, still no response. In the meantime, we FOUND the flowers in a small room at the back of the church--a volunteer must have moved them into the room and didn't know what they were for. This has been the absolute WORST experience! We ordered flowers to be delivered for my son's gf for Valentine's Day and the order was confirmed by Ava's for delivery. Ava's sent and email two hours later saying the delivery would be made on the 15th- 16th. We cancelled this first order as the flowers would be delivered after the holiday. We then called and spent THREE hours on the phone with Ava's and they 100% assured the new order would be delivered on the 13th or 14th. They then sent an email at 6 pm the night before Valentine's Day cancelling the order conveniently after they were closed for the night! I have now been on the phone for the past hour and a half trying to get someone to make this right and have spoken with "B" and then randomly transferred to "AJ" (apparently this "company" only uses initials) and still have not gotten any assistance to make this right just super shitty hold music and promises that they are "looking into it". I ordered flowers for a hospital delivery yesterday. They did not deliver yesterday but said when I ordered that if they were not delivered yesterday, they would deliver today. However, I needed to make a slight change in the name on the order. I have been on their website for two hours trying to do that and their website is faulty. When I have called, the recording states they are short staffed because of COVID. (This is long past the big COVID outbreak) so no one can speak to me, but I have to use their faulty form. NEVER have I experienced such poor customer service. I cannot express how extremely frustrated I am. I am on the computer for my work 24/7 so I know how to communicate by the web. Their company is disgusting. Also, after reading other reviews I see that Avas Flowers does not have any facility on the West Coast as implied in their ads, but Fed Ex their flowers in from the East Coast, and they often arrive a mess.
