They got everything wrong. I even called after my on line order to talk to a person to make sure the order was right. I wanted all yellow tulips and they sent all pink. I asked for delivery to be on Saturday or Friday at the earliest. They delivered on Thursday. The arrangement had no extra greenery so the bouquet looked pathetic. This has been the absolute WORST experience! We ordered flowers to be delivered for my son's gf for Valentine's Day and the order was confirmed by Ava's for delivery. We then called and spent THREE hours on the phone with Ava's and they 100% assured the new order would be delivered on the 13th or 14th. Before I tell you about our experience, let me start by saying when they called my mom back about her complaint, they hung up on her. That tells you almost everything you need to know about this company. You can't even call to complain, you have to submit to their website, and wait for a call back. On Google they have 26 reviews that are all 1 star, but they boast a 4.7 rating on their website (the website shows a picture with no link to Google) They have 1-star rating here on Yelp, out of over a thousand reviews. And a 1.6 rating on the Better Business Bureau with 952 complaints in 3 years, 400 complaints in the last year. They have comments off on their Instagram, I wonder why? We ordered the "Pastel funeral spray" While complaining, they tried to tell us we didn't order an arrangement with roses in it, despite the picture having roses in it. The arrangement pictured is white and yellow. They said what was ordered was "pastels not roses"..that makes no sense. Plus, I don't know what they think pastel means, but this isn't it. The flowers were brightly colored. They were the cheapest flowers, like daisies. Finally they had a gaudy bright pink ribbon. It was a complete embarrasement for our family and not appropriate for a funeral. There are a lot of complaints about hidden charges. The arrangement was $102, The total cost was $145. There was a code they said to put in for free shipping. In reality they only took off $5 for shipping. Complete SCAM of a business. Dishonest website. Deserves negative stars. If you see 5 stars here, be suspicious. The two current ones here, were written days apart, and the only review they have on Yelp is for this place. One is an account that is several months old and one several years old, both only rated this place. Edit#1: After putting in a 2nd complaint they sent a bunch of emails with offers and to contact them to accept. They called my mom a dozen times and as soon as she said hello, they hung up. I don't know what the purpose was, unless it was to trick the BBB into saying they tried to contact her and couldn't. Maybe it was a phone issue. Either way, she waited til they called the next time, didn't say hello, and said quickly "I want the 50% you offered me or I'm disputing with my credit card" Suddenly the agent was willing to talk to her. Do not waste your money!!! I wish I would've read the reviews for this "florist" before I used them! I used them for my husbands aunt's funeral in California. They were supposed to deliver the flowers to the 10:00 am funeral service. We get to the funeral home and there are no flowers!! It was supposed to be a very large, special, meaningful arrangement. Terrible service, very poor value. I paid expedited delivery, luxury upgrade prices and found the pathetic bouquet 2 days later, with no service yet. DO NOT try this company. I ordered a bouqet of lowers (Glorious Christmas Bouquet - LUXURY GRADE) and paid for the luxury upgrade. The photo shown here with he gold vase is the basic bouqet sold and with the upgrade, it is supposed to be bigger, more flowers for the upgrade. I also paid the "before 2pm" fee. We searched most of the doors on the campus to see if they'd been left somewhere. We could not find them. I tried to get a refund but because it was Satuday I couldn't reach a live person...the most I could request through the customer service tools was a refund on the b42pm delivery fee. Which I did receive. I tried to contact Ava's on Monday...the most I could do is submit a ticket. I received a prompt reply stating that a ticket had been opened. In two days, still no response. In the meantime, we FOUND the flowers in a small room at the back of the church--a volunteer must have moved them into the room and didn't know what they were for. This company is by far the worst flower company ever!!! Talk about ruining a special thought and making it a stressful situation. They delivered the flowers and didn't even ring the doorbell or knock on the apt door to the address they were given. Instead they went and set them down on some tarps that were layed out ( the apartment complex was being painted) and in front of the mailboxes. They could have at least left them in front of the unit we were in. But anyways the flowers never got to me because I didn't know they were out side and especially in front of mailboxes. The man that ordered them from me told me that they said they delivered them and he had taken a photo of the flowers laying on the tarp. Like are you kidding me? The pic showed flowers laying on the dirty tarp. It had no vase or water to keep them good as well. Who does that? Who delivers flowers like that and they weren't what we had ordered. Then they said they would deliver them again the next day and never did finally a week and a half later I got roses in a box mailed to me by UPS. I ordered flowers for a hospital delivery yesterday. They did not deliver yesterday but said when I ordered that if they were not delivered yesterday, they would deliver today. However, I needed to make a slight change in the name on the order. I have been on their website for two hours trying to do that and their website is faulty. When I have called, the recording states they are short staffed because of COVID. (This is long past the big COVID outbreak) so no one can speak to me, but I have to use their faulty form. NEVER have I experienced such poor customer service. I cannot express how extremely frustrated I am. I am on the computer for my work 24/7 so I know how to communicate by the web. Their company is disgusting. Also, after reading other reviews I see that Avas Flowers does not have any facility on the West Coast as implied in their ads, but Fed Ex their flowers in from the East Coast, and they often arrive a mess. UPDATE: I was appalled at the bouquet that was delivered so I filed a complaint online assuming I wouldn't hear back. They called me within an hour and within 3 hours they delivered a new bouquet to the recipient. The new bouquet was not great (see 3rd photo) but they added stargazer lilies and seemed to have spent at least a little more time on the arrangement. Not great but I upped the stars from 1 to 3 for the prompt attention to my complaint. Ihave never been so embarrassed. I sent $99 bouquet (see photo of what was supposed to be sent), instead they received a cheap grocery store bouquet (see second photo). When the recipient sent the photo I was sick to my stomach. If you want to send flowers do not use this place. They will never arrive to the destination. They will mark delivery status as delivered despite not delivering the item. Deliveries are anticipated at times when their customer service is closed if your on the West Coast. There is a service fee (never delivered)of $24.99 that doesn't include delivery fee which is waived with coupon. Their phone contact number will drop your call multiple times before you reach a live person. They contract out to florist who are unreliable. There are too many florist available to settle for this company. Waiting till morning to request a full refund of delivery not rendered. UPDATE: After falsely documenting delivery at 6:50pm a delivery was dropped off and recorded by my cameras at 9:30pm!!!
