I chose this place to take good care of my 1995 Toyota Camry because of of the good references. I will never recommend this place to anyone because they don't care apparently what the customer is requesting...I was really disappointed the first time, then when I took it back , Troy said to me " we will expedite and have this taken care of"... it was not and I'm still not satisfied with their performance... everything I pointed out to him was totally missed and I'm back to square one ... don't ever take your vehicle there, unless you just want a half assed job done... GREAT SERVICE!!!! Most other body shops will rip you off with over charging you and giving you replacement parts. My insurance company sent me to another shop. I got an estimate and they did not even check for internal damage. This estimate was cheaper than Ave's but they were not going to fix the internal damage to my car. Amazing and perfect! I needed repairs to my bumper (unfortunate back up into a wall)and on a recommendation took my car to Avenue Auto Body. Steve was amazing. 100% professional and so easy to work with. I was told he would have the bumper fixed and back to me in 3 days. Once they dropped the bumper, Steve noticed additional damage and was concerned final repairs would not be up to my expectations. Steve called me and discussed, however I gave him the go ahead. Three days later I get a call my car is ready. I truly wish I would have taken before and after pictures as the car was perfect! Not only did the bumper look new the car had been washed and was pristine! And the price? Reasonable to borderline cheap. Not sure how I could have asked for better! Spoke with Troy and he said "can you leave the car right now and we can get started" and you can pick it up Tuesday. Amazing. On Tuesday I walked over a little bit early to pick up the car, but it wasn't quite ready. I waited and when Troy became available, he got involved to get my car ready. Brought my Acura in after scraping a wall in a parking garage. Was told they needed 7 business days to finish the work. They ended up keeping the car for 3 weeks to repair one scraped door. While the work done was adequate, it is unacceptable to keep the vehicle for more than double the time initially quoted. They did nothing to make up for it other than paint over a couple small nicks other places on the car. Still had to pay full rate. read more

A really stupid driveway incident resulted in significant damage to both of our cars, a 2008 Accord V6 sedan and a 2015 CR-V with only 3000 miles on the clock (told you it was stupid). Panels on both required replacement and both cars were finished with pearlescent paint, difficult to match, especially the Accord's White Diamond Pearl. We also were not reporting to the insurance (stupid, remember?) so price was a concern as was the shop's willingness to use parts I supplied, including a few non-OE custom parts I'd previously purchased for the Accord. We got several estimates. While Avenue wasn't the least expensive, they were far from the highest and accepted my "own parts" request without hesitation. They were also only about a mile from our Redondo Beach home, an added bonus. The CR-V was completed first and after replacing the driver door panel, and front fender, straightening the A-pillar and repairing and refinishing the rear bumper, the car was like new. Panel alignment was good and the color match was absolutely perfect. The Accord was next. Right quarter panel, front and rear bumper covers were replaced along with custom headlamps, upper and lower front grilles and rear taillamps. Once again, the panel fit was spot on as was the paint finish and color match. Avenue's paint man really is a Rembrandt!. Throughout several weeks of contact, the entire staff was both friendly and professional. I did not hesitate to give Avenue a 5 star rating...they deserve it! And, a special thanks to Troy, Avenue's manager, and Brian, for making a lousy situation not exactly fun but a least tolerable! read more

Sometimes it just works out. I blew out the back window and dented in rear door of my Scion XB. backed into our garage wall with a bicycle rack attached, yes takes all kinds. Well after checking prices on Craigs list, Ebay and local parts shop started comparing costs for a local body shop to do work. Avenue Auto Body is right in our neighborhood and couple friends have had work done there. Stopped by after work Brian took several minutes going over options, they were first body shop that mentioned a used door. He had a quote to me first thing in the morning. Then I compared to installing new door, getting the part myself and taking to mechanic to have installed, and having another color door installed and having it pained, the Avenue option was 30% less. I got them the deposit and they had the part the next day. They were able to install same day it came and admitted the car door I got was in exceptional condition. They did it all and I am very grateful, for a most wonderful experience to a very expensive mistake. read more

Amazing service! I brought my Honda Civic in to have the bumper appraised. Brian took one look at it and told me it would probably be a simple fix of adding a screw to one side. Gave him the key, he drove the car around back for five minutes and came back out and said it was good to go. He definitely could have charged me for more work but he didn't charge me a cent. He was super helpful and made me feel a lot better that I didn't have to replace the entire bumper. I'll definitely go back if I never need something done. read more

I chose this establishment due to the 100% 5-star rating. I had the following issues with this place: 1) I was told I would be getting a call once the part arrived. This was important to me as I have a busy work schedule and it wanted to get my problem fixed as soon as possible while timing traffic to and from work. It was already past noon and I never got a call, and the part was supposed to arrive in the morning. The person confirmed my part had arrived, however I would've appreciated a more proactive approach. 2) The person who wrote my estimate didn't factor in an additional labor cost. That was that person's fault, yet I still had to pay the higher amount. The increase was not meaningful in dollar terms but it was in percentage terms, such that certain states would not allow such a practice. It would have been better customer service to honor the lower yet incorrect estimate. 3) Top it all off, I found the plastic wrapping of the auto part on the floor of my passenger seat. (Attempting to upload a photo of this instance). All in all, the customer service was deplorable. read more

Got in a fender bender - not my fault - so had to deal with the at fault insurance for the claim... got my estimate and started to search the South Bay for reputable shops.. took it in to a few shops searched on yelp* and just felt comfortable from the start when I hooked up with Troy at Avenue. Didn't get that sleazy feel that I got from other shops that I visited. Troy explained the whole process and worked with the insurance to get any needed supplement for the bumper (minimal). Since I had the car in the shop - decided to get my rear side door panel (my fault) repaired. Estimate was moderate to fair (compared to other estimates I received- there is no exact science to these things). Also they were able to line me up with a rental for pick up and drop off with Hertz. Like all the other reviews. Great Service - courteous and they informed me along the way the progress and they promised the car as they predicted. A lil hiccup along the way but Troy was able to explain over the phone and pics via email help iron out the lil wrinkles. All in all a great experience with a reputable shop (how often can you say that?) Repair and paint job was phenomenal - just like new. read more

Due to an error by insurance company not showing up with when they were suppose too the time frame for work to be done on my car has nearly cut in half, but Avenue Auto body still managed to get it done in time. Nothing is worse than having to deal with the "other guy's" insurance policy when getting your car fixed. I walked in to Avenue Body Shop with a car that had lots of scratches and dents and a case number. I needed to get an estimate of how long repairs would take. They inspected the car and estimated a week and I planned to drop my car off on Monday morning. They open at 8 am. On Monday, Avenue Auto Body shop took it from there. Enterprise, the rental company, came to pick me up at the facility and took me back to their office on PCH. Avenue Body Shop called me on Thursday and told me the car was ready for pickup by 5 pm. Since I was at work, I couldn't make it until Friday morning. What a surprise- not only was the car totally fixed but they detailed my car too! It hasn't been that clean in years. I just signed a release form and left with my car. The Avenue Body Shop was professional and the entire process was seamless. Professional, courteous and efficient. Highly recommend. read more

My 2011 car's bumper got separated, creased, scratched and the fender was bent. I set out to have it restored. After getting several over-the-top quotes from 3 local auto body shops, (less than a mile from my home) my neighbor suggested Avenue Auto Body. I read the reviews and thought, why not take a flyer on Avenue and get a quote? The moment I drove up, I was greeted by a friendly service rep, who introduced himself as Dave. Dave immediately assessed my car and gave me a variety of options. Options? I had no idea I had options. The three prior shops didn't offer options, just massive quotes that seemed expensive, over-extensive and kept my car in the shop a minimum of 4 days. Dave suggested a repair (not a replacement) that cost a THIRD off what every other shop quoted. I brought my car in a few days later and was told I would have it back by the end of the day. The repair was outstanding! The car looks as good as new! You'd be hard pressed to see a cosmetic blemish and the repair is solid! Solid! This place is amazing!!! I went to six places to get a quote and literally this was my last stop. I found it on yelp and read the reviews. After talking to Troy he appeared to be no non sense, professional, and a straightforward guy. He provided really great customer service. After agreeing to go with them I gave them a deposit and they ordered the parts. When I was finally able to bring my car they fixed it up perfectly. What was most pleasant was that they really do clean the inside and outside of the car, buffed part of my car that were near the damage as complimentary and if you live close by they would even pick you up just so you can retrieve your car. I was recently in a very bad auto accident. Rear ended at about 75+mph. I suffered bodily injuries and as much as I like my Jeep, I did not want to have to deal with any issues getting it repaired when I had more important issues to deal with. I ended up getting my Jeep over to the guys at Avenue Auto Body. Troy handled it all and they did an outstanding job. They made the process incredibly easy for me. When they returned the vehicle to me, not only was the damaged areas repaired, but the entire vehicle was detailed. They clayed and buffed the entire thing as well as cleaned all of the interior. My black paint hasn't looked so good in years! There was one small issue with the spare tire not hanging correctly off the tailgate. I brought this to their attention and it was fixed a few days later. I have had the misfortune of being in accidents in the past.
