Autobahn is my collision center of choice. Why? They do a great job project managing AND managing the insurance for you to make sure your car is exactly as it was before the accident. They negotiate with the insurance to make sure you get the appropriate part that is required to make sure your care is 100% like it was before the accident. In my case for example the insurance sent an aftermarket head light that did not fully work with my Lexus and James my project manager from Autobahn made sure that I got a Lexus OEM part. Also I like that you get your car back fully detailed so it has a nice touch when you get your vehicle back after an accident. Ridiculously long, continual delays in getting my car repair completed. Note that it finally got done in over twice the amount of time they gave me as the original estimate. I could see my job getting passed over by other work despite the fact that all my parts were in and I had been waiting longer. When I finally received the "finished " job, the shop had neglected to re install the front license plate holder. When I insisted it get re installed just like I brought in the vehicle, they had lost the screws and installed it with two screws that didn't match each other. Such Mickey Mouse work! The turn signal light still falls out of the repaired fender they installed, but I'm certainly not taking my vehicle back to them. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Brought our car in for a repair estimate. The damage was minor but I expected an estimate exceeding $1500. Their representative was incredibly honest. He was informed our vehicle lease had two years remaining and suggested saving money and just using touch up paint. He also said if we really wanted the damage repaired he would perform the work at an incredibly low price even if we wait until the end of the lease. Tony was so friendly, knowledgeable and honest that he'd spent almost an hour talking me OUT OF fixing my car, a potentially $15K+ job! I have a pretty good idea about auto body and mechanical repairs and visited multiple shops for estimates and opinions before coming to Tony's. Upon seeing my car, Tony pointed out quite a few things that indicated more extensive damage that no other shop had noticed. It wouldn't make financial sense to repair the car due to the extent of damage and I'd be better off accepting a total loss payout from insurance. While there are plenty of people who would fake a smile just to get your business, I didn't expect such genuine, honest businessmen like Tony, especially in the auto repair business. Autobahn did a wonderful job on my car. It looks brand new. It was very expensive though. Insurance covered part of it. I needed a new window, new steering wheel column, glass cleanup, and a scratch removed so two doors needed to be repainted. It's was over 4500$. Again amazing work, very good quality. Communication was subpar, which I understood to an extent because there was a situation that out of anyone's control. But I was told that a part was ordered and received, but when I call back several days later they said they had just received the part and would start working on my car. When my car got wrecked in an accident, I had it towed to this place because it was right next to a great indie BMW shop that I've been to a couple times. Anyway, it was a huge mistake. The person I spoke to on the phone had the nastiest attitude from a customer service representative I've ever experienced. The first time I spoke to her on the phone, I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. But I spoke to her a couple weeks later, and she dished out the same nasty attitude. But it wasn't just the attitude. After they told me that my car was totaled and that it would be towed to a salvage center, I asked if they could take out all the stuff from my car so I could come by and pick it up. They said they would do it. Well, they didn't. Not a big deal. But when you say you will do something. Either do it or communicate that you won't! read more
