I totaled my 2012 Mazda 3 but decided to buy it back from the insurance company and set out to fix it up to pass the Vehicle Safety Inspection. The bumper was smashed and there was some frame damage around the bumper support bar. Which turned out to be a lot more difficult of a task than I could complete alone. I don't typically write reviews unless I've received superb service. Well, Donny and Steve took excellent care of my car. I brought it in for a paint/ replacement of some body panels estimate. I was planning of getting a few other estimates. But once I spoke to them, I didn't hesitate to give them my business. They know what they're talking about when it comes to cars. I'm a car guy and it's tough to put one over on me when it comes to cars. They earn a '10' for customer service. I was replacing a front nose piece, front spoiler, side skirts and rear spoiler on my car. The parts were oversized, and they offered to pick up the parts from my house. Many other shops want to get you in and out as fast as they can. But when a shop really cares about their quality, they take the time to make certain that it's done when it's done. As promised, they sent me photos and progress reports as they worked on the car. I picked up my car and I'm 100% satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. The paint has a mirror finish and all the seams on the replaced panels line up like a new car. Everything that was promised was completed and more so. They even returned my old body panels and suggested that I resell them as they were highly desirable. You don't get that level of customer service often. If you're looking for quality, customer service, attention to detail, kept promises, honesty, integrity, expertise, value, and over-delivery, see Donny and Steve. The other day I thought I also fell victim to the spreading problem of catalytic converter theft. My car's exhaust pipe had been cut and it was extremely loud and barely had any torque when trying to drive it. AAA came for a tow. The replacement cost for those in CA (CalCat vs. EPA) are extremely costly - between $1.800-2.500,- So I was really frustrated about that! When I called Steve at Pacific Auto Body, he asked me to stop by so he could take a look. So I did. It turned out that I got (kinda) lucky, and they weren't able to remove the converter - they only cut the exhaust pipe. Most Auto repair places would have easily charged me several hundred $$$ for repair, perhaps even suggested to purchase a completely new muffler system, if not more... BUT Steve - being very kind, helpful, and generous - just sent me 1.5 miles up the street to a muffler shop where they were able to weld it back together within a few minutes for only $80!!! OMG what a relief! It's almost like nothing happened, besides a 1/2 day of research and frustration. The point of my post is that it has been the second time with Pacific Auto Body that I had such a great experience with Steve and Donnie - two stand up guys with a big heart ad honest intentions!!! My wife scraped her new SUV and came here for a reasonable quote. It was honored weeks later when she had time to take it in to have the rear passenger door fixed. Shop did a solid job and took 4 days to fix. A few weeks later it seems to be looking good as of now. What was disappointing about this experience was the timing of the vehicle getting picked up and the condition the interior was found in. First off, grateful they offered to wash the car and wax it, but the vehicle was already a day over it's estimated completion date and they were already an hour late for the scheduled time for pickup. What made me disappointed the most was the amount of dust and dirt I found in the interior of our car. An unreasonable amount of dust and dirt in the door, panels, dashboard, crevices in vents, etc. Upon pickup the sunroof panel was open. I have no idea why it would be necessary to operate that. It led me to believe maybe the windows were just left open for the 3-ish days it was there. I also found the passenger side footwell panels to be pretty loose and scuffed with dirt which led me to believe maybe somebody was just carelessly kicking back and relaxing in the car while it was in their possession. As for our new car, there is a bitter taste left behind this experience and well..I got some cleaning to do. read more

Came here for minor work - my Lexus door jam panel came off and needed help putting it back on cause the clips were angled in a way that made it impossible to put it back on. The man at the desk took a quick look and asked me to come by the next morning which was no problem. Dropped my car off next morning, they put new clips on and attached it back for $10. It was less about the price of the work, but the fact that I was treated like I needed thousands of dollars worth of work. Most would disregard my minor need, but they didnt here. Can I give them 10 stars? I backed my car into the corner of the garage door opening last week damaging the bumper and rear light. Wednesday morning I took it for estimates to 3 body shops in the area. Pacific was the last one and the only one that didn't give me a high pressure sales pitch. Their estimate was also significantly less than the other shops. They listened to me, only fixed what I asked to be fixed, and were over all accommodating. Even though I was a walk-in customer, without an appointment, they quickly gave me an estimate and got to work on my car. Today, 3 days later, I picked up my car. The repair looks great, my car was detailed (I wasn't expecting this), and I ended up paying a little LESS than the estimate. Got into a little accident caused by an idiot who cut me off not using his blinker nor looking that I was next to him in the right lane on the 405. Forced me to veer into right shoulder lane to avoid hitting the idiots vehicle and slightly rubbing on the wall barrier resulting in two minor scratches and part of my right side bumper to disconnect from tabs and breaking two. They gave me loaner car in free of charge. And they finished fixing my car about in a week. Overall their services are wonderful; they respond my questions and request very quickly. My car came back looks good, good enough for me; there are little gap between the edges of bumper and the body which doesn't bother me at all.
