Met out-of town guests here for brunch this past Thursday. I enjoyed my chicken quesadilla but hubby did not care for his Build Your Own egg white Omelette (not enough chicken sausage!) Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed their selections: Huevos Rancheros, Lox and Bagel and also the Classic American Breakfast. My experience here was good, wish I could have gone back for a 2nd time. They have plenty of menu options for breakfast and lunch and the portion sizes are pretty big. You definitely won't leave hungry. I went at a vey busy time for breakfast but the wait wasn't long at all. The line moves fairly quickly and they have plenty of tables to accommodate parties small or large. I got the granola and yogurt bowl, chicken sausage, and breakfast potatoes. I liked all 3 of them. We had to wait about 10 minutes, but it was worth it. We got the omelette, pancakes, and fruit plate. The omelette was very delicious and came with potatoes. The pancakes are very fluffy and come with 4 of them. The fruit plate came with very quality tasting and fresh fruit. Avenue Cafe was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I saw it had great reviews on yelp and it was very busy so we wanted to give it a try! I definitely got the impression that the meals are mass-produced ahead of time, and then reheated in the microwave just prior to serving. Overall, I enjoyed the experience that I had here with my boyfriend. We had the pleasure of having Russ as our waiter and he was amazing. He always checked on us and refilled our glasses, he was just phenomenal. I really enjoyed the fresh watermelon juice that they offered, it was very re-fleshing. I also enjoyed that in the very beginning, Russ asked us if we had any allergies and with that information he relayed it to the chef to accommodated the dish for us. The decor in the cafe is very classy and nice, no matter where you sit you will always feel comfortable. The chairs are well designed with the table, and the booths are large enough for a family. Unfortunately, I only provided this place three stars because for the dinner menu I had the the steak, eggs and included toast. This was listed under the dinner portion. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but wouldn't hesitate to dine here if I was staying at MGM again. My friend and I shared the Cornflake Crusted Fried Brioche and a Build Your Own Omelet. The Cornflake Crusted Fried Brioche was my favorite of the two. It was like French toast sticks with a crispy outside. The white chocolate and fruit sauce served with the dish made it even tastier. For the omelet we went with sausage, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. The omelet was light and fluffy. Our server was on the abrupt side, but attentive. If you are paying full price run away from this place as fast as you can. One waffle with strawberry's, bacon, and potatoes, and two drinks should not be $42 + tip. Yes, I understand it is Vegas. However the price for this meal is ridiculous. Pretty sure prices are only this high because they know so many people are using dining credits. Two stars were given because the service was decent. 01-15-2024 1333 hours, I was looking for a cafe style restaurant. I checked Park MGM, ARIA, Bellagio, New York New York and finally found one at the MGM Grand. The restaurant looked clean, and we were greeted at the podium. It was not busy there where about 6 other guest eating. After being seated "Lucas" check in on us as we checked the menu. I ordered BYD (build your own omelet) with a side of bacon and toast. wife ordered a plate of French Toast and a side of blueberries. Our order was brought out by someone else. Noone came by to check on us for a short while. Wife said they forgot her blueberries. I flagged down an employee and asked for the blueberries and someone brought them out. Now I just realized as I'm 3/4's done with my breakfast. I didn't get my toast. Still, no one came and checked on us, I flagged down "Lucas" and told him. he went back to the kitchen and returned with my toast. 1. French Toast $17.00 (good but pricey) maybe $10.00. 2. BYD Omelet $25.00 (good but overpriced) comes with country potatoes and toast if they remember to bring it. maybe a $17.00. 3. Side of Bacon cooked to order $8.00 (good because I like Bacon). 4. Side of Blueberries $3.00 (very good & portion) as long as if they don't forget to bring them. I don't know but I may try them again. This place is expensive and the food was bad. Unless you just want the same diner coffee they serve at Dennys, they have no coffee drinks here. Not a good place to take clients (I did and would not again). If you ask for a latte they said the machine was broken. I had the avocado toast and it was not even real avocado- Im pretty sure it was one of those guacamole packets they sell at the grocery story (which i hate!) They didn't even TOAST the toast. huh?! it's called avocado TOAST. Also it was like $20 for it. I believe this is the same room vendor for room service at MGM, so don't bother ordering room service if you stay here because it's horrible. First, way overpriced. My boss ordered a waffle ($18), and a side of 2 eggs with bacon...and paid a total of $26. Really, it was nothing special. I paid $16 for the worst breakfast burrito ever. Let me elaborate. Breakfast Burrito [$16, 1.5 stars] -- Nicely grilled, but horrible inside. A big chunk of liquid egg, a little cheese, and dried up flavorless chorizo that tasted like Vegan Chorizo Tofu. Served with a side of old salsa and cheap quality sour cream. The only reason I am writing this review is the server, Russ. We arrived early for breakfast and were in a hurry on checkout day, the minute we mentioned that we're in a hurry to Russ, he was on it. We ordered two lox bagels, fresh fruits, and two coffees. Portions were big, not sure why they fry the capers, I didn't care for it but my partner loved it but 10 minutes after we ordered we were out with leftover boxes and two to-go coffees. We've been frequenting this cafe the last several times we've been in Vegas. As recently as March 2022 and again in April 2022. Besides the food being excellent, and the service remarkable, there's one specific person I'd like to mention. Her name is Kati and she is the hostess. Now honestly, it's because of the relationship that my husband and I have established with Kati that keeps us returning. Besides making sure that you get seated swiftly, she makes you feel like you're important. She remembers everything about you and your family and goes above and beyond to make being at this restaurant a memorable experience. We highly recommend heading to the Avenue Cafe for breakfast or lunch ( not sure if open for dinner yet). Find Kati and you'll see what we mean!!! This place is just wonderful. My breakfast of Huevos Rancheros was heavenly. I ordered this with chorizo, both times and realized after receiving this order that they forgot the chorizo on my previous order the day before. Upon realizing this and reviewing the final bill i noticed that I wasn't charged for a cranberry juice my mother ordered. I think they knew as well, so all in all we were compensating plus more. No words spoken but action taken on the establishments part. Thank you for this. I will definitely be returning. The lack of timeliness receiving our bill was the only issue.
