Today 8.26.26 my husband and I have always loved staying at New York New York and frequenting this cafe, but our recent visit left us incredibly disappointed. We decided to dine here, but after waiting over 45 minutes for our food, we noticed other patrons who arrived after us receiving their meals and leaving. At that point, we felt it was ridiculous and decided to leave, which really took the excitement out of our visit. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving hungry. The silver lining of our experience was our server, who was genuinely nice and attentive. It's a shame that the kitchen service didn't match his level of hospitality. It's a very cool space with a cool design of the United States hanging from the ceiling that's where the good things ended. Service was slow as a breakfast sandwich and eggs and bacon took a good 30 minutes and it wasn't overly busy. The waiter seemed to understand gluten allergies but the potatoes she said contained gluten and I said don't include arrived on my plate anyways. The eggs had a couple different egg shells in them. Came here for a quick breakfast prior to checking out and driving home. Not super hungry so we decided to share a meal. We got sat in the back room area either a bar or private event room. Hostess staffs were very friendly. I forgot our servers name but she took our order which was two coffees and steak breakfast with two eggs over medium, hash brown, and sourdough toast. Got our coffee pretty quick and we sat and waited for our breakfast. I don't know if our waitress was not in the waitress group because she had on a black shirt and other staffs outside our room had red shirt. Didn't appreciate it and or care to hear our waitress arguing over the customers order of hash brown, as to who's fault it was that order came out wrong. I was in no absolute hurry to get our meal but after over 30 mins of waiting I was starting to get annoyed. No words from our waitress as to what was going on or why it was taking so long. So I finally flagged her down and asked her what was going on with our food. She said she called down the kitchen to find out what the delay was. At about that time someone brought our dish. Steak was not too bad and had good seasoning. Eggs were cooked right hash brown was little on the less crispy outside. While we ate our food, not once did our waitress come asked if everything was OK or if we needed anything. I could have used some ketchup and tapatio but didn't feel like asking and waiting again. After we finished our meal, I waited for our waitress to come so I can get our check. I watched her stand behind the counter reading something not paying attention. I tried to wave her down few times and finally gave up and walked over to her. She looked up as I was walking up to her so I told her to get me the check. I look at the bill and I was little pissed to see the darn coffee was $7 a cup. I mean I don't mind paying extra cost for good food and or drink. But wth? Diner coffee which was nothing special typical coffee cost $14 for two cups. That is the most expensive coffee I've ever had, if it was $4 I would have been OK but $7? Come on.. Needless to say, I would not be coming back here. I mean $25.95 is little on the high end for a steak and egg but at least it tasted alright. Came here fairly early for breakfast mid week and we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes for a table which was great. By the time we left, there was a long line waiting to get seated. Service was super slow honestly. It took forever for someone to come over to take our drink order and then the food was pretty slow to come out as well. Standard breakfast options and portions were good. It felt expensive for breakfast but it's Vegas so you kind of expect it. Coffee was not great. Probably would choose a different restaurant for breakfast next time but at least you can count on a menu that has something for everyone here. read more

My sister got the eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. Solid option as well! I was really impressed with the amount of food for the price. Sizeable menu too. We also got green smoothies to go. Visited America twice during our stay at New York New York. First visit was dine-in and second visit I did take out. I would rate this higher than 3 stars but lower than 4 stars. Starting with the cons: During dine-in, I ordered the Veggie Burrito. After about 10 minutes, the waiter came back to let me know that the kitchen didn't have ingredients to make it. Small inconvenience, but the bigger annoyance was when I asked what else is vegan on the menu, the waiter said "salad" which if I was previously ordering and craving a burrito, a salad is not going to be satisfying. I couldn't tell from his tone if he was being sarcastic or genuinely helpful, but there was at least an Impossible Burger, Avocado Toast, or even a pasta dish option before suggesting a salad. The other cons are that dine-in service was extremely slow, and the restaurant is going through a remodel so the entrance is easy to miss. Now onto the pro: The fact that this 24-hour restaurant has vegan options at all is super convenient! Is it the best vegan food? No, but it passes. Another pro: Take out experience was much faster than our dine-in service. Onto the food... The Impossible Burger could have used more effort. I would have appreciated a vegan mayo or a vegan cheese. If I thought about it at the time, I probably could have asked them to add avocado to make it more interesting. The Veggie Burrito was pretty huge! Grateful that they have JustEgg, tofu, vegan cheddar, and plant-based sausage though I would have like to see more vegan sausage for the price. Maybe a chipotle sauce to give it some zing. The Green Goddess Smoothie doesn't look appetizing but it was alright. It has kale, spinach, avocado, and cashew milk. Would I eat here again? Probably out of convenience. I keep hoping that it'll get better but clearly it hasn't. And a part of me wants to keep seeing if it'll end up on a better note but again, it didn't.... We made a stop for breakfast as I've had some nice meals prior visit years ago. The past few times, it wasn't so pleasant. Thursday just around noon and the line was about a 20 minute wait. Standard for places now. Ok, they'll page you when your table is ready. And it was about 20 minutes when we got the page. The reason we wanted to try it again was hoping that the construction was finally finished from a while back. Nope, still going on. Looks like there's going to be a bigger waiting area with a long sofa. Anyway, they were only utilizing the back area as the front is still under construction. A side section was also opened. It did a long while till someone came over to take our order. At least the busboy did take our drink order and refilled our water as that was the only thing we had for a while. I kid you not, it was almost 20 minutes till someone came over and took our order. It seemed like she was the only one taking orders from everyone in our section. We were somewhat on a time crunch. We did set up at least an hour and forty five minutes for lunch but that didn't help. With the wait time for a table to the wait time for ordering. Even after ordering, we had to ask the waitress to see if she could check in with our order. I don't like having to rush anyone with their job but we literally had to hurry. Asked for the bill and paid even before the food arrived. Once it did, we had 10 minutes to scarf everything down. From the time we sat down till ordering and food arriving, it took over an hour. I assume the lady that was walking around to check up on everyone was the manager. She came to our table which we did mentioned that the service was not very good. The wait time was taking forever with the kitchen. Her response, it was backed up that she had to help as well. Well, we did noticed that she did being out champagne a few times to a table that's about it. Our waitress was sweet and busy but it was the food that took forever. I don't know the situation with the kitchen but it was the same the last visit. It took forever. Mind you it's all night cafe which tends to have things rolling out all the time. Just seemed like with the construction, the service has gone down hill big time. I don't like to complain but it wasn't a good experience. This construction which seemed to be taking a long while could be a factor but who knows. I keep thinking that it'll get better, but apparently it hasn't. We took the short walk over from the MGM Grand to have breakfast here. We had a short wait before we were seated (Sunday morning). There is construction going on so a bit of a maze to get into the dining area but was fine once seated. Our waitress took our drink and food order promptly. Definitely a reliable place to get good moderately priced grub. I made the mistake of ordering fish and chips with a starter of chicken wings. What I got was a hugely generous amount of great wings, we aren't talking about the pigeon size you get elsewhere, but real sized ones. That made getting the fish down a challenge that the man vs food guy would take on. Like my hero on the Dos Equis commercial, I don't usually over eat , but when I do, if I do , it's for times like this! No ill after effects, so 5 stars. Well here at New York, New York, and perhaps other places, they want to hit you up no matter what you're doing. Got a $11 "house salad" to go from here. It's your standard, hate to say it, "garden variety" salad with greens, a couple of cucumbers slices, 2 quarter slices of tomato with their house balsamic vinaigrette. After visiting the Bellagio Conservatory with my mom on a Saturday morning, we decided to take a journey to New York New York Hotel and Casino to eat at the restaurant, America. Looking up local Las Vegas restaurants on the strip that offered discounts for locals, America was one of the restaurants that popped up on the search! When we had entered New York New York from the Hershey's store, we didn't know where it was located. We ended up exploring the entire casino floor, and found it towards the back of the hotel, somewhat near the escalators to the second level to where the arcade is. The restaurant did have a line. Asking the team member for a table of two, we were informed it would be about a 15 minute wait. The line did go relatively quickly though. Once inside the restaurant, we got to explore the layout. The center of the restaurant has a stunning 90 x 20 topographical map of the United States. It hangs above the restaurant and is considered one of the largest in the country with specific icons like Mount Rushmore! The restaurant is open 24/7 and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. The menu typically ranges from $10.00 - $30.00 for pricing. Locals get a 10% discount, excluding holidays. The restaurant's menu has a wide range of options from bagels, sandwiches, subs, burgers, patty melts, breakfast items (pancakes, eggs, bacon etc..), pasta, and so much more! My mom ended up getting the grilled cheese with French Fries and a side of Onion Rings. I ended up getting the Fried Steak with gravy, French Fries, and scrambled eggs with sourdough toast. The service was great at America. The team member assisting our table came several times to refill our drinks. We also didn't wait long on our order, less than 25 minutes! I enjoyed the fried steak and eggs. I ended up saving the French Fries and the Sourdough toast for another meal though! It was so much food! The Fried steak was huge and had plenty of gravy on it! My mom enjoyed the grilled cheese. The onion rings were my favorite though! They were perfectly fried, and with each bite, the entire onion did not come out, which was awesome! Our bartender, Tha, delivered some of the best customer service I've had in Vegas. From the moment we sat down, Tha was warm, personable, and genuinely made us feel welcome--not rushed, not pushy, just real hospitality. I ordered the Fruity Booty (Appleton Rum, Peach Schnapps, Grand Marnier, Amaretto, and Pineapple Juice), and it was fantastic. Perfect balance, smooth but flavorful, and honestly one of the best cocktails I've had on the Strip. My sister got a piña colada, and she loved it--creamy, refreshing, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was Tha's presence. They were easy to talk to, made great drink suggestions, checked in without hovering, and actually seemed to enjoy connecting with guests.
