Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Cubano, House Potato Chips, House Pickles. I'd best describe the menu as upscale pub fare. In general it is well executed, but largely familiar. The meal itself was fine, though somewhat standard and predictable. I was lucky enough to dine with someone who was willing to share, which gave me the chance to try both the Cuban and the Grilled Chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken wasn't listed on the printed menu. It appeared only on the online menu, but was being offered as the special of the day. Of the two, the Cuban was the clear winner. The flavor combination of meats and dairy fats made it hard to compare the sandwiches head-to-head. Every bite was satisfying, and the richness worked exactly as intended. The grilled chicken sandwich had its own appeal, but it felt a little busy. Between the piquillo pepper cheese and the bacon jam, there was a lot competing for attention. It was still enjoyable, just not as cohesive as the Cuban. For a side, I chose the clam chowder instead of the fries or salad. The chowder was decent, but it wasn't a dockside shack in Boston Harbor or something from a family recipe. I missed the deep, rich texture that comes from a buttery roux. It didn't seem like this batch was simmered slowly to developed flavors, it seemed to rely more heavily on flour for thickening. We also started with the pickle plate and the house-made chips. The chips were easily the favorite of the two - crisp, salty, and addictive. If you didn't act fast those disappeared quickly at our table. The pickle plate was a bit more surprising, particularly in terms of the generous portion size of beets, though it didn't leave quite the same impression with our diners as the chips. What really stood out the most about the evening wasn't the food. The real stars of the night were the staff. We made an online reservation for Saturday at 7 p.m., and everything went smoothly on that front. We arrived as the restaurant was coming off the backside of its dinner rush, and you could tell the servers had already put in a long evening. Even then, they remained upbeat and genuinely pleasant. They kept the energy positive and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Were they perfect? No. At one point a glass broke at our table, and we ended up doing the cleanup using napkins and our bare hands. But considering the pace of the night and the fact that everyone is human, it felt like a minor hiccup rather than a major issue. The staff's professionalism and attitude throughout the evening easily outweighed that moment. We made sure they understood this on the bill. Great hospitality can elevate an otherwise ordinary meal, and that's exactly what happened here.

A great gastropub in the Avenues! I came here for my Valentine's Day date on a Saturday night via Opentable. We were seated immediately in the bustling dining room, primarily with groups of patrons vs couples. Such a fun vibe though! Our waitress was fantastic, engaged and friendly. We enjoyed our cocktails and dinner - I needed some iron and loved the Avenues Proper Burger - the House salad is amazing! He had the beef stroganoff and boy, I was jealous I didn't get that! Definitely worth the visit, I'd come back and try the rest: small menu, but delicious!

We live really close to this restaurant, so my husband and I love to pop in for a Sunday brunch. I want to start by shouting out their mimosas because they are only $3!!!! Such a good price and fun to take a group. We pretty much always get the same thing because we both like it so much. We start with the biscuits and jam. If you aren't getting something else with biscuits, I highly recommend getting this to start. It comes with 2 biscuits, butter, and jam. I love the jam so much!!!! My husband gets the eggs Benedict and loves it. I get the sunrise burger with the egg on the side. I get the egg on the side. This is my perfect burger. Also, they are really consistent about doing a good job with it! My only complaint is that they don't have a Diet Coke fountain, but it's a brewery so I get it. They do offer cans tho, so it is still an option. The service here is good and the inside is so cute. I'm excited for warmer weather to be able to sit on the patio!!

Build Your Own Breakfast: fruit, salad, toast and jam

Jen was our server. She was great! So attentive and had a great vibe and attitude. The food and drinks were so good, as always! We went for brunch. I am pescatarian and had trouble deciding what to get. So many good options!! The Farmers Market Hash is my go-to. Such yummy seasonal vegetables and the pesto is the best I've had. This time, I did the Build Your Own Breakfast - Fruit, side salad, toast and jam. Perfect for starting my day. $3 Bloodys/mimosas are awesome!

The food here was really good and you get to pick how done your burger is along with a side of garlic aïoli. The fries are amazing you get a mix of regular and the smaller crunchy ones. The service is good but can be slow even if it's not busy. They have both tall stool tables and regular ones. The lighting is dim and they did have a light burned out so that made it harder to see the menu but not impossible. A little pricier than other places which makes it better for just the special occasions.

One of the best spots for a casual night with upscale pub food and a good beer. The people who work here are friendly and engaged. There's a great outdoor patio.

    Smash burger

Jamie did such an amazing job at caring for our every need, it seemed a little busy but he did not lose his foot. On top of the service, the french dip was so life changing that I downloaded this app to leave this review, and another thing, if you're a burger connoisseur, the smash burger is divine, 10/10

One of my favorite travel YouTubers recommended this in his Salt Lake City "must-do" videos. It's in a quiet section of Salt Lake City, high on a hill - like north of downtown and not far from Ensign Peak. It's a nice place and it's got the hipster vibe to it. I ordered their famous Chicken and Waffles dish and it was alright. Only because I was still hungry and the portion size wasn't that big. Luckily, the ice cream place next door cured that! But I had a couple of their beers (SLC pils) and they tasted good. Service was alright. Still, I felt like there was something missing about this place when I was there. Maybe the seats were too close to each other, I don't know.

    Fish and Chips

Food was all delicious but we were disappointed that the fish and chips came with only a single small filet, for the price of the meal we just expected more protein. The sauce that came with the fries was especially delicious! The burger was simple but really good.

I've tried their Creme Brulee French Toast, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, and today I tried their Perfect Omelette, but unfortunately all of them have been quite subpar. Unfortunately today was probably our worst experience. I ordered the Perfect Omelette because I saw it had avocado, but when I got it there was no avocado to be seen! Turns out they had run out but didn't tell me when I ordered, which honestly would have made me change my mind. The omelette tasted pretty bland to me, so I had to use plenty of ketchup and Cholula to help. I also usually like their brunch potatoes, but today they seemed less cooked and not as crispy. My bf enjoyed his Eggs Benedict per usual, but agreed the potatoes were worse than normal. Our server, who in the past has usually been quite attentive, was very slow and not attentive at all. He only checked on us to take our order (after we had been seated for at least 10 minutes), and then gave us our check at the end. A different person seemed to be helping him out by giving us water and serving us our food, which we appreciated, but nobody checked on us to see how we liked our meal. We saw people seated in other sections with different servers get seated after but attended to before us, which was a bit frustrating. We wondered if it was because our spot at the window bar seemed to be far from our server's other tables. We kept feeling like we'd been forgotten! Ambiance is very cute, modern, and IG-worthy. For me the food isn't great, but I'll keep working my way down the menu in an effort to find something I like since I know we'll be back for the Eggs Benedict haha. I think I'll try the pancakes next or I guess give the French toast another shot. If those don't work out, I might resort to just their orange juice (which is great because it's freshly squeezed, but unfortunately also room temperature as a result) and something a la carte. I'm giving them a 3/5 overall because service is usually better and because my bf still thinks they have the best EB in the county. But honestly I've never been somewhere where I've tried so many dishes and not liked any of them enough to order again. I also think their prices are high and keep inching up. $16 for their avocado toast is actually absurd! And I find it surprising that for a brunch place, they don't serve lattes/espresso. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. I've attached all of the photos I've taken here, and you can almost tell how their quality has shifted. I hope they ultimately get better, not worse!

Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! The salty mushrooms were mellowed by the chewy rice. The cashew cream gave a nice variation in texture. I didn't leave a morsel behind. The harissa carrots were nice as well.
