I was very disappointed with mama bird (Breakfast) Breakfast is the only items we had when we came in. My friend got French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. My meal was the sausage hash and over easy eggs. My eggs were overcooked, the hash was extremely overdone the potato was very dry and a very salty. The sausage was meh, but it was the best thing on the plate. We ordered coffees and they were basic. They also gave us some very large and cold utensils they were a little hard to maneuver. The place itself is very pretty the decoration is very nice. The waitress was also very nice she kept refilling our water and our coffee. I do wish that mama bird would have put more money into the quality and taste of the food versus the decor of the restaurant. However, this review is only for the breakfast items I may come back to try other dinner or lunch meals.

Loved: ginger beer flight- all the flavors were phenomenal! Cornbread (which was free) was also a standout- perfectly warm, sweet & soft. Watermelon soft serve (DF!) was refreshing and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive and friendly. It's a huge space, so tables were spaced out nicely. The menu has a lot of appealing and varied options. Could improve: several things were on the bland side (chicken fried steak and gravy, coleslaw, mac & cheese, catfish), I liked the pickled veggies on the po'boy but they overpowered the fish and would be better on the side, watermelon was mushy and flavorless (if it's like that due to being off-season, I'd prefer just getting the soft-serve alone!), chairs were super hard. When we walked in for dinner, the staff stared at us blankly like they were confused why we were there, which was an awkward start to the experience. I'll mostly remember the ginger beer and will likely seek that out in the future.

We were excited to try this place, but left disappointed. The girls at the front were super nice and seated us quickly. We loved how the booths were nice and big. The esthetic of the restaurant was amazing and so cute! Definitely gives you that southern feel. We ordered the hush puppies and the fried pickles for appetizers, both were delicious! Although we were disappointed in the quantity size of the pickles for the price that they cost. I got the grilled sandwich - green acres family style and was disappointed. I am a big dill lover and didn't really taste any dill. The sandwich was also dry and lacked sauce. I also had to request pickles because the sandwich didn't come with any, which I thought was weird since it was dill style. With it I got the creamed corn for my side and that was amazing! My husband got the brisket and said it was good, but nothing special. My sister got the fish and liked it! My mom got the fried sandwich and also said it lacked sauce and some flavor. Although the staff was nice, the service was super slow and our waiter took forever to come check on us and refill drinks. Made it difficult to eat there with little kids because of the wait.

I came here with a friend for brunch and it was okay. I felt like our server didn't really want to be there or just didn't like us but otherwise service was fine. I thought the food was good and it came out super fresh and still steaming hot. My friend made her own omelette which including cheese and let me tell you it was super cheesy. The entire omelette was covered in cheese and I could tell she wasn't a big fan of that and hadn't finished her omelette. We also ordered the brown sugar coffee with bourbon and we did not like it. Our expectations were totally off from what we got. It just tasted like watered down bourbon with a slight hint of coffee. It was very strong. Otherwise, the place is cute and includes a cute little shop up front.

My review for this restaurant is kind of mixed. It seems they are very popular but understaffed. The wait for a table was quite long but when we finally got seated there were a lot of empty tables. The service was also very slow. Our server was nice but every step of service just seemed to take a long time. The food itself was pretty good. The steak was cooked perfectly. Eggs were overdone. The chicken was well seasoned. The mimosa was 90% juice. It hardly even had bubbles from the champagne. Would not order that again. You're better off just ordering the glass of champagne/sparkling wine. Decor is cute and southern. Plenty of parking.

Was recommended this new restaurant from a coworker and he was spot on. Im always down for new local restaurants and it hit the mark. Available from breakfast/brunch to dinner, this southern style restaurant really digs into the theme of a country family diner type restaurant. As someone who grew up in the country, the theme really hit at home. As for the food, first, the portions are very generous so be prepared for leftovers. They seem push southern style chicken as their "specialty" and they hit it right. The chicken was thick and crispy but also still juicy. Im not huge on grits but the grits that came with the chicken fried steak were spot on and would for sure get again. The biscuits and gravy they had as a small side option so got that to try. The biscuit seemed homemade just with how fluffy it was and I was big on how not dry it was. The gravy was flavorful with the pepper and sausage within it. I would say my favorite part of the brunch was for sure the crispy hushpuppies. They bring it out with a sauce but i would say it wasnt necessary for how good it was. When looking into this place, it seems to have only been open for a month. You could see that they were still kinda working out some stuff but nothing that affected my experience. The service was attentive and very nice. It is a big building and has a ton of space for diners, however, I would still recommend reservations being made for parties of 4 or more. Im definitely gonna be back to try some other menu items but could be my new go to brunch spot.

The atmosphere is very cozy, cute, and full of charm. Southern comfort feel. The food is good with a wide variety of options like burgers, sandwiches, grits, po boys, steak, BBQ, chicken wings, salad, etc. Get the coleslaw and collard greens sides to balance things out. Non-Alcoholic--The jalapeño ginger beer was refreshing. They offer original, peach, and strawberry ginger beer flavors too. Alcoholic--the two drinks that stood out were the Banana bread old fashioned and Mama Bloody Mary with a deviled egg. So creative. Beers are available as well. The only thing that could make this place better is speeding up the service. Everyone was incredibly nice, but everything moved very slowly from check-in to getting our food. I know it's a popular place, but it definitely felt like a long wait. Overall, it's a perfect spot for southern food which I don't think there's many options around. What I really love is their creativity in the food and drinks. It elevates it that much more.

4th time here and still haven't tried 75% of the menu. Food is always an experience. Portions are so big, order a box when you order your food. Service is friendly, fast and welcoming. The place feels like your walking into grandma's, warm and inviting. If you haven't gone, you need to get there. Two different menus, breakfast/brunch and dinner.

The restaurant is spacious. It was busy when we went. We went around dinner time and only waited 10 minutes. I would say the food is more than casual dinning and the price of the items reflected that. It was a bit more than I would spend at a casual dinner but the portion size was large. We got the ribs and brisket with side Mac and cheese, fried green beans(delicious dipping sauce), hush puppies, and a side salad. Overall the food was good. Brisket and ribs were a bit overwhelming with the bbq sauce but the tenderness of the meat was great. We definitely enjoyed the sides a lot more than our main course.

The atmosphere is super cute. I love how they have decorated the inside. There is only room for 6 people to sit and wait don't you go when it's super busy plan on standing. The food was ok. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and expected more grilled cheese style, it was good but not something I wud order again. The brisket had great taste. Husband ordered a brisket burger, he enjoyed it. Fries were warm but not fresh. I did really enjoy the watermelon lemonade mimosa and the fried pickles. We also tried the Mac and cheese, it tasted like it was made with white cheddar and did not measure up to my southern expectation.

This place has potential, however the service is slow and inconsistent. Also the kitchen seems to struggle with cooking things to order, such as over easy eggs. Waited almost 30 minutes as they were "making a fresh pot of coffee". Refills and other requests all seemed to take 2-3 times the amount of time to complete after request. This place could be great, if the kitchen got more consistent and the servers were better trained / better equipped to meet service requests.

They are within their soft opening time frame. So hours and service is going to be different compared to when they fully open. With that said. The staff was warm and friendly. We were taken care of by Dave H. Fantastic recommendations. The food was tasty. We ordered Chicken and Waffles, Red Velvet pancakes, and Ribs and Brisket plate. We tried each plate and enjoyed it. The place is well decorated, very open and bright. The kitchen is probably still working out their processes and flow. It was a bit slower than anticipated. We came for lunch and if you have a limited lunchtime (hour lunch to get back to work), you're going to be anxious for your food to come out. Everything came piping hot because our server was fast to table everything. It wasn't packed as there were open tables. From seated to paying our bill, it took about a little over an hour. We had at least two refills of our drinks before the food came out. We will come back for leisurely dinner as there is so much to try on the menu. The portions are generous. We had to go boxes.

The menu has a lot of fun wordplay, which made it more memorable. I ordered the "Forbidden One" and it did not disappoint. The omelette was super tasty, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the chicken was well-seasoned and not dry at all. Even the fruit cup stood out. I was pleasantly surprised that it was made with freshly cut fruit instead of the usual pre-packaged mix. My only regret is not adding apples to the "Forbidden One" for the full forbidden fruit moment. Definitely something I'd try next time. Overall, great vibes, great food, and a spot I'd come back to.
