I so appreciate a restaurant that "specializes" on the most important meal of the day: breakfast! I ordered the chorizo bowl, with poached eggs. I am a poached eggs snob, and let me tell you, Eggsburgh's poached eggs were absolutely poached to perfection! The spicy chorizo blended perfectly with the potatoes, cheese and peppers. Coffee was AMAZING! Service was wonderful! We stayed at our table chatting for over an hour and they kept the good coffee coming, didn't rush us. The music was also amazing. An awesome 90s mix! And the walls were decked with Utah Jazz merch, which I thought was a nice touch. Super recommend it read more

We were staying at the Peery Hotel so it was very convenient. The banana crunch French toast was delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice was certainly the star of the morning. Located in the Peery Hotel building, we had breakfast here when we stayed at the hotel. The menu is really expansive with lots of options. I had a breakfast chorizo bowl. My coworker and I both left full and happy. Decor is bright and cheery, and the service was friendly. My only complaint was that when the server (who brought the food but did not take order) brought my food, she hit my glass of orange juice and sloshed a fair amount onto the table. This wasn't a big deal. Accidents happen. The problem was that she ignored it. I eventually had to ask the waitress for extra napkins to clean up the mess. After the spill, a top off would have also been appreciated. Further, it would be nice if the restaurant and Peery Hotel could work out a discount for hotel guests. Pancakes did leave a lot to be desired though they were presented nicely. Salmon Benedict was flavorful. The avocado toast was truly one of the best I've ever had in all my travels, which eagerly prompted my return for lunch. It was served on two small, rounded pieces of sourdough bread that most eating establishments would generously consider "half a sandwich"--and charge for it as such. The fillings were incredibly sparse: just two small pieces of bacon, a single thin slice of tomato, and lettuce that barely seemed fresh. While it did come with an ample supply of fries and a single pickle slice, the sandwich itself was so disappointing that I won't be returning. The food and the service are top-notch, and this will become a breakfast and brunch staple whenever I'm visiting SLC (which I would have known about it when I lived here)! First of all, the "Mix and Match" pancake and waffle flight is a genius option -- choose any three pancake or french toast options from the specialty menu -- we got the strawberry pancake, Danish blueberry pancake, and banana crunch french toast, and they were all terrific! The 2x2x2 meal with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and fresh fruit was also quite tasty! Additionally, the service was fast and attentive. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering, and our server checked in multiple times throughout to ensure we were enjoying our food. Stopped in here for a quick breakfast with some friends, based on googles recommendation. Food was solid. OJ is fresh squeezed. Service was great and there was no wait for a table. It was nice outside (mid 60s) but inside it was very very warm. Seems like they've got the heat on (it is winter) but it just wasn't cold enough outside to offset the heat inside. Also tables by the window get direct sunlight in the morning which is probably fine in colder conditions but the day I was there it added to the unnecessary warmth. Overall great experience and I'll come here again next time I'm in SLC. read more

Oh my gosh, so good! The menu has an option for everyone, even the pickiest amongst our group. Options for those with dietary restrictions such as gluten free are limited but still plenty of options. The one negative, they squeezed seven of us into a booth. It was tight and a little uncomfortable but it was that or wait longer to be seated with kids who were hungry. My server Gwen is exactly who I want at breakfast. Great personality without being too much, attentive, checked in with me on the regular. Food was very traditional breakfast with some nods to Latino culture. Easy menu to find something you will like. Portions are ample if that's how you judge things. Overall right balance of flavors and choices. Two items for consideration. First, no biscuits and gravy on the menu. Maybe it doesn't sell in SLC, but it is a breakfast staple. Maybe a southern Benedict? Second, while I love the color of the yellow metal chairs, they are so uncomfortable. If you have a larger bum, the chair sides will dig into you. Looking for somewhere to eat Sunday morning before leaving town and stopped here. When searching online I didn't realize it was somewhat connected to the hotel, which was fine but that usually means it will be more expensive (which is was). Their menu had a wide variety, but none of it really had any flavor. The chorizo and cheese, was hash browns, lots of bell peppers topped with chorizo and then scrambled gas on top. The eggs and chorizo were not mixed. We were seated at a table that had no server so had to wait awhile to even get beverages. It was pretty busy around noon (to be expected for a Sunday) and we had a short wait. For drinks I got an iced chai latte and my friend got their frozen orange slushie and both were yummy! Thankfully, we were able to grab our server quickly and they replaced her steak without really any fuss. Not too overpowering and the sauces they give you are almost essential if you want a bold flavor or some spice. My favorite sauce was the green sauce. The Service was great! Very disappointed in today's visit. The waiter charged us for every little thing and didn't even mention any up charge. I ordered the south of the border benny, which has pork chorizo and i can't eat pork, asked him if i could swap it out for the corn beef instead he said sure, never once mentioned it was $6 extra! I figured it was just a swap of meat, if that was the case I would have ordered the Irish benny that already had corn beef, and was half the price! He also asked if we wanted green peppers and onions and cheese on the hash brown and again didn't once mention any up charge!
