I came in a little over a month ago to buy a CLA45 amg. It was a 2014 with just under 27,000 miles and one previous owner. Normally you would be weary about purchasing a 10 year old amg. However, if it's coming from paradise, it's a different story. My family has bought 3 cars from paradise over the last few years. That's where my confidence for buying an older car comes from. My salesman Corey reminded me why I should feel confident when doing business with paradise. Putting business aside, he's an amazing dude. Back to business though. Jeff is a super nice guy and always does what's best for the customer. He truly cares about customer loyalty, and he gained a customer for life with me. I was working on replacing front suspension components on an older Tacoma, when I ran into a snag: the ball joint press on-hand was too small to remove the old upper ball joints. The spindles were both already removed, so instead of trying to track down a new tool, I took them by Avery Automotive to see if they could swap out the UBJ's for me. Jeff and his staff were polite and professional and I was given a very fair quote. We needed this done quickly and they did not disappoint; I was called back 2-3 hours later saying they were all done. I found Avery Automotive because of a coupon on got in the mail. I needed an oil change and the special was a great price. I looked up their online reviews and they were all great, so I decided to take my truck in for an oil change. Tito was nice and the waiting area was nice as well. The oil change took around an hour and I had asked the guys to check to see if the ball joints on my truck were worn. Up until this point everything seemed fine. The while checking out I the total comes out to the price as promised but there are notes on the repair order with a list of 6 items that they say are wrong with my vehicle. I thank them for noting the items and told them I would have my normal mechanic look at them. So I take my truck to my mechanic and he starts going over my truck to confirm and then fix any issues that were brought up. The first item that was on the list was that they detected that the brake pedal was soft and I was told verbally and in writing that a tech looked saw that my rear wheel cylinders were leaking. Avery automotive wanted to charge me 367.00 to change the cylinders, so I was a little mad when my mechanic took off the rear drums on both sides while I was standing there watching and neither side had cylinders that were leaking. The next item said that my oil pan had seepage and it would be 332.00 dollars to fix. Again I have my mechanic check it out and the oil pan wasn't leaking, my rack and pinion was and since it ahead of my oil pan (closer the front of the truck) the oil from my rack and pinion blowing back onto my oil pan. Thankfully my normal mechanic found the real issue and made my truck safe again. I could have been in a major accident with a rack and pinion that was on the verge of totally failing. The last item that seemed odd was the note about my coolant fluid being diluted and they wanted 130.00 to fix this problem. Just a few months before I had a complete valve job done on my engine and all the coolant was replaced at that time with new coolant to spec. For the other three items on the list one I already knew about and the other two (motor mounts for 550.00 and transmission service for 130.00) I haven't had the time to get those verified yet. Regardless if I would have just taken their word on the other 3 items I would have shelled out $829 and nothing would be any different than it is now. So at this point I am sad that a place that has a friendly staff and a great special on an oil change can use that to earn trust but twist just to make money off of other items the vehicle doesn't really need. Hopefully that is not their intention but in my case it sure seems like it was. Also, the one thing I actually asked them to check (the ball joints) wasn't checked at all. When I took my vehicle to my mechanic to review the items they said I needed to repair, it was found that the ball joints all needed to be replaced. read more

Since my car is an Acura, and we all know dealerships charge and arm and a leg for service. Especially when they see a "GIRL" coming. This place isn't like that at all. Keep in mind, this dealership is a service center as well. Two different things. Paradise Automotive was referred to me by friends of mine that bring there BMW there and let me tell you I haven't been disappointed yet. The staff is great and helpful. I always get a price first from Acura on the work that is needed to be done then I go see Jeff C. the owner and he always works out a reasonable price for the work that needs to get done. I recently had to get front & back brakes, front & side mounts, and my transmission fluids flushed plus some other work done and Acura wanted some crazy price and Paradise did it for $600 dollars less then what they quoted me. Crazy! I respect their opinion and they are a great team of guys working there. My car purrrr like a kitten and I will always be bring my car back there again and again. I took my car to Avery to have the transmission checked because it seemed as if there were some strange vibrating noises and some rattling sounds coming from it. They checked the transmission and found that the clutch throwout bearing was bad. They told me that there was nothing wrong with the transmission, which was a relief. So, I had them replace the clutch. Not only was the throwout bearing bad, but the clutch was completely worn out. Now, my car is fixed with no more problems. What's even better, though, is the customer service I received from Jeff and Tito. They were both very friendly and helpful, and they answered all of my questions. They kept the parts from my car's clutch and let me go back into their shop to see the clutch and discuss it with their mechanic. This mechanic was so nice and explained everything so well. He answered all of my questions so that I could understand exactly what was going on with my car's clutch and the strange noises I had been hearing. I have been to a lot of shops in the past, and it is hard to find a shop like this one. I won't get into what I have seen in some other shops except to say that it can be pretty sad. People here are friendly, informative, and honest. The cost for replacing my car's clutch was low, and they even gave me a loaner car to drive while my car was being repaired. I've been going to Avery since I moved to the area in 2014. I really appreciate how Trev and Jeff are very informative and enjoy explaining what needs to be done and why. Jeff usually sends me pictures of things that need servicing showing me the state of the component. I've grown to trust him and really appreciate how he gives me a heads up when he thinks something needs to be serviced... but not yet. That allows me to budget for it in the future.
