Posted a review a few weeks ago, mentioning that getting a loaner for service has been very difficult. Then when I finally got in, they said I was 18 days past my 3 year mark (2023 GV80), and I will need to pay for service out of pocket. No real regard for their process being the reason and a challenge. I had even posted my earlier review before scheduling, showing my frustration. Appealed to Genesis as a goodwill coverage, but was denied. Norm Reeves did cover the oil change (to their credit), but not air filter and cabin air filter. I only have ~ 16,500 miles. Tried emailing oscar.aldana@normreeves.com as listed in reply to my earlier review, but that mail was returned undeliverable. Not sure what is going on there, but not good. I could buy both filters for ~$50, and replace myself within 30 mins or so, but the principle here is that no one mentioned when I called to schedule in September or January that service was about to expire, nor receive and email. Just convinced a close friend to buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, which I now regret. read more

I needed a part for my car and I called a couple different locations and they didn't offer parts. Finally at this location I had Mark help me. I wasn't sure of exact part and he saved me a trip. Awful company to even deal with. Was going to be purchasing a car from them and the salesman, Julian was giving me the runaround and lying to me consistently, said the car was sold, even though it was never sold they still have it on the lot. I drove by and saw the Tesla with my own eyes!!! They are very biased on how and who they sell to. My 22-year-old daughter went to purchase her first car from Norm Reeves Genesis of Irvine intending to pay the full purchase price in cash. During the signing process we spent over two hours in the finance office removing multiple add-ons that were initially said to be "unable to be removed." Only after repeatedly refusing were those items finally taken off the contract. We were also told she was receiving the Genesis valet maintenance program, yet the contract only lists "maintenance" with no description of the service. We have text messages confirming how the program was represented, and a witness was present during signing. The dealership later acknowledged cancelling the maintenance package, but months later the refund still has not been issued, despite 25+ attempts to resolve the issue and escalation through Genesis corporate customer service. Because the matter remains unresolved, we have now filed complaints with the California DMV, the Attorney General, the FTC, and the Better Business Bureau. We are sharing this experience so other buyers--especially younger first-time buyers--carefully review every contract and add-on before signing. Update (March 11): Management replied stating the refund had been issued "a while back." That statement is incorrect. As of yesterday we were still actively working with Genesis and the dealership on the refund, and we have email documentation confirming that. We were only just provided a tracking number for the refund check this morning due to the reviews given to the dealer. read more
