I've had my GV 80 for a year now and it's been my favorite car! Beautiful and luxurious and will be a perfect family car. Yesterday I brought in my car for its first service, and it was top tier. I drove my car to the dealership and then the dealership ordered an uber for me to go home back to Newport instead of waiting for my car to be done! Owner, My mother and I had one of the worst dealership experiences we have ever had. We visited on July 29 at approximately 11:30 a.m. and worked with a sales manager whose name I unfortunately do not remember, but you should be able to identify who was working with us at that time. We came in genuinely ready to purchase a Genesis. Instead of working with us, we were repeatedly told that we would need to put over $5,000 down. Every time we questioned the numbers or asked about other options, the sales manager was unwilling to properly explain anything or work with us. We left feeling completely frustrated, dismissed, and unheard. We ended up going elsewhere, and the difference was UNBELIEVABLE. They got us into a Genesis with ZERO money down and even waived our first TWO monthly payments. That is a huge difference compared to what we were being told. You can even look up my account and see that I ultimately purchased the vehicle elsewhere. What makes this situation even worse is that the problems clearly go beyond the sales department. The managers I have dealt with in multiple departments have been just as bad. Instead of management trying to professionally resolve my concerns, I have experienced dismissive, hostile, and unprofessional behavior. Now I am also being THREATENED simply for speaking up about my experience and raising concerns about how I have been treated. Instead of anyone taking accountability or trying to fix the situation, the response has been threats, hostility, and attempts to make me feel intimidated for complaining. That is completely unacceptable. At this point, this is clearly not an issue with one employee. When management across multiple departments behaves this way and a customer feels threatened for raising legitimate concerns, it raises serious questions about how this dealership is being managed. I specifically want the OWNER to review this personally. I do NOT want my complaint redirected to the same managers I am complaining about. I want the owner to understand exactly what has been happening and how a Genesis customer is being treated. read more

The driver from the concierge service was rude and unprofessional, but overall, the rest of my experience was good.

What disturbed me most was how quickly the conversation shifted toward legal threats and suggestions that I should "get an attorney" instead of making a genuine effort to address my concerns. Rather than working toward a resolution, I was left feeling intimidated and dismissed. As a customer, I believe no one should feel threatened or unwelcome for asking questions or expressing concerns about the service they received. A luxury dealership should prioritize professionalism, respect, and customer satisfaction, not resort to threats of banning customers from the property or escalating to legal language when concerns are raised. This experience has left me questioning Genesis of Irvine's commitment to customer care. I sincerely hope the owner or General Manager takes the time to review how customers are being treated and ensures that future concerns are handled with professionalism, respect, and a genuine willingness to resolve issues. We were privileged with having Colin Prouty serve us. We showed up late one night to look at the G70 and he encouraged us to come back in the daylight to really have a sense of the color. He communicated readily and displayed an incredible knowledge of the Genesis products. I had owned a Genesis back in 2015 and he knew what was different between then and now. Leased a car here in 2025 and bought a 2027 car a couple of weeks ago. In my opinion the Salesman was nice but misinformed us substantially on the car amenities. The management team on Sunday was insufficient and in my opinion made misstatements regarding discounts and pricing while we were in the process of trying to buy a car. I really loved the genesis I leased and wanted another car from Genesis otherwise I would have walked out. The finance manager, in my opinion made a hard press to sell us a lot of extra stuff and despite telling him no three or four times he persisted to push the products. Both times I have obtained a car here I was not given a car walk through. I had to come back twice to finally get a walk through, which was helpful. Spoke with manager about my overall disappointment but in my view and opinion he didn't really seem to care one bit. Maybe I'm wrong but as I sit here waiting for the car to be appropriately detailed since it was not when I purchased the car, no one seems concerned about my overall terrible experience. In my opinion you would better off buying your genesis at a different dealership. Even if you have to drive a ways. Great cars - terrible dealership,IMO. One star for the young man who finally did a walk through and for the salesman who in the end has tried to be helpful. Otherwise this would be a zero star read more

I needed a part for my car and I called a couple different locations and they didn't offer parts. Finally at this location I had Mark help me. I wasn't sure of exact part and he saved me a trip. He took the time to look it up and help figure out which one it was. He was prompt and was beyond helpful. Posted a review a few weeks ago, mentioning that getting a loaner for service has been very difficult. Then when I finally got in, they said I was 18 days past my 3 year mark (2023 GV80), and I will need to pay for service out of pocket. No real regard for their process being the reason and a challenge. I had even posted my earlier review before scheduling, showing my frustration. Appealed to Genesis as a goodwill coverage, but was denied. Norm Reeves did cover the oil change (to their credit), but not air filter and cabin air filter. I only have ~ 16,500 miles. Tried emailing oscar.aldana@normreeves.com as listed in reply to my earlier review, but that mail was returned undeliverable. Not sure what is going on there, but not good. I could buy both filters for ~$50, and replace myself within 30 mins or so, but the principle here is that no one mentioned when I called to schedule in September or January that service was about to expire, nor receive and email. Just convinced a close friend to buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, which I now regret. read more

Once I knew Genesis was the make/model I wanted to go with, my husband and I found ourselves putting off the purchase so it was an ongoing process and I would occasionally pop in from time to time when we got more serious. I had met with a few agents but had the best experience with Deno - he was patience, attentive, and very knowledgeable on the ins and outs of the vehicle feature. He was honest when I was torn between two models and I knew he was genuine and not trying to upsell me.
