Not only did I have a…read morebad experience but I had 8 other people share horror stories with me about this specific AAMCO during the time of my vehicle being on the lot. All stories of vehicles in the shop for extremely long time periods, thousands of dollars that were underquoted, misdiagnoses and faulty work. I brought my 2018 Ford Transit in for the rear-end / differential and was charged $900 for a diagnoses Plus 4K for new parts. I was quoted a price with a 3 day turnaround time. My van is a class B Rv and is my full time residence for summer. AAMCO had the van for a total of 11 days, not 3. They claimed the parts that came in were the wrong parts and they kept stringing the process out longer and longer. Horrible communication. I also overheard Ben tell multiple customers the same run around story about wrong parts over the course of the week and a half I was around. The final straw was that they told me my coolant expansion tank reservoir and lower coolant hoses needed replaced with a quote of $600. I was so exhausted and fed up with dealing with this shop by the point of this second diagnosis that I decided to bring my van to another mechanic and guess what....No need to replace any of the coolant parts. Total SCAM and waste of time, energy.

See below for details... They are also a DMV STAR smog facility and are more than fairly priced! When they went to connect my 2004 Sprinter van to be smogged, my old jalopy wouldn't start!! They were nothing but kind, professional and knowledgeable ... they went above and beyond!! They worked after closing to solve my Sprinter problem and get me on my way!! I was convinced this was a problem waiting to happen. James put on a new lower unit and added new gauges. I was pleased with the outcome.

No heads up, no responsibility--just left it there knowing it could get towed... and guess what? It DID. Now I'm stuck dealing with towing fees because of their employee's stupidity. When I called them, they acted like it wasn't their problem at all, even though their own worker was doing side work on their property. Zero accountability. Just excuses. I even told them I was going to take this to court, and their response? "Yeah, we'll see about that." That right there tells you everything you need to know about how they treat customers. I had a very positive experience at this shop. Hector is clearly a very experienced mechanic, and also a natural problem solver. He fixed two separate issues that previous mechanics had failed at all within 1 hour while I stood there watching. He and his crew had good vibes, were focused and efficient, and the price was more than reasonable in my case. I decided to give this shop a try as I didn't want to take my car to the dealership. I had o idea what was wrong with the car and was concerned it was extensive repairs. Called them on Monday morning and was able to come straight in. By the afternoon had analyzed and recommended new battery (it's about 6 years old) because analysis revealed low voltage issues and they said that the weird stuff is commonly attributable to low voltage. At the same time recommended a few scheduled maintenance issues based on carfax maintenance history. Agreed to take care of those few things as well. Had car back Tiedsy afternoon at 5. Dealer would've taken me 3 weeks to get in and they'd have kept the car a week and charged me triple. Frank's was great. Super friendly and shuttled me home and picked me up to retrieve the car too. Very happy to bar found these guys on yelp and they had nothing but great reviews. I believe that lived up to the reviews.

After dropping it off, I got a call the next day from Joe asking to FaceTime me. He showed me everything they found wrong with the vehicle. It was mostly basic maintenance, but I really appreciated that he took the time to show me and explain what was wrong. One of the items ordered was spark plugs. I approved everything on the list, and the spark plugs came in around closing time. It happens. I asked if I could come by and pick it up since most shops are closed on Saturday, and they happened to be cleaning the shop that day. Joe said yes, which, again, I really appreciate. I have always brought the cars of myself, and family members to 'CAARS,' since we originally got…read moreour Saturn's from Saturn years ago. I brought my Saturn in towards the end of last year to have the coolant light checked out on my car. The coolant light would not turn off without coming back on rather quickly, so i brought my Saturn down to have them check out what was the issue, and make the necessary repairs. It took them a few tries to find and locate the problem, but it was totally worth it. When they started looking into the source of the problem they discovered multiple parts that were broken, or close to being broken. They gave me the choice of the most critical parts that needed to be repaired, and were listed on a print out so I could choose which parts could be done sooner, and some father down the line in the near future. Vince, Dan, John, and staff always do a great job repairing and fixing our Saturn's when an issue pops up, and when an issue unexpectedly pops-up. There are a couple of parts that were getting close to breaking down, so I would rather get to those repairs (If I can), before anything goes wrong when I'm in transit somewhere. They found a fan that was coming loose besides the coolant among a few other things that were broken, or breaking down, and made the appropriate repairs. Needless to say I was, and am highly satisfied with the work that was done on my Saturn--I can easily tell when I drive my car--that it has much more power when accelerating, and it's noticeably smoother when driving. 'CAARS,' has high quality repair work, and a quality staff that Vince has retained--which shows in their quality, pride, and workmanship while keeping the price, timeliness, and value worthwhile for their customers.
