After a long day of apartment hunting in the Arts District, we were exhausted and unimpressed but when we arrived here it felt different in the best way. Kristina went above and beyond, staying late to give us a thorough tour and answering every question. Deshaun has been just as amazing, making us feel right at home. The property is beautiful with thoughtful and modern design choices. We love the amenities.. especially how dog-friendly the community is.. which was a top priority for us. There are multiple courtyards, some with turf, plenty of walking paths (& poop bags) and the NoHo West dog park 10 steps away. The rooftop views, gym and other shared spaces have been a great addition to our daily routine. I'm really looking forward to the summertime and using the outdoor spaces more.. top notch community cooking, everywhere! We were skeptical of the mail and delivery situation but so far we've had a couch delivered, a dozen food deliveries, dozens of amazon packages and all of our expected mail. For our actual move, there were plenty of loading zones and entry points, making it easy. My only gripe... the parking garage gate has been inconsistent, remaining open for days at a time... which literally bypasses all measures taken to secure access... but still, so far I've felt safe as a female living here and walking my two dogs. You will not get your full deposit, you will not get a response from staff if you get billed for water and power after you move out no matter how much you follow up, and you will not enjoy your experience. Residents are not respectful and will leave piles of trash, bulky boxes (even though there is a sign explaining to take them downstairs), and trash too big for the trash chutes in the trash room. They do not check footage or enforce anything if people leave their trash on the ground (some are too lazy to put it inside the trash chutes). The smoking of cigarettes is a serious issue and they don't do anything about it. They don't check footage, follow up with anyone's concerns about it, or take responsibility - they just say to "be on the lookout and report it" if anyone smokes. It is an issue and the hallways and parking lots do smell of cigarette smoke. You will smell cigarette smoke early in the morning and late at night. The fire alarms go off very often, especially in the middle of the night. The "routine fire alarm maintenance" in which someone needs to enter your unit are suspiciously frequent, especially for how often the alarms go off. You will get woken up by the fire alarm. There are major security issues and they are not prioritizing safety. There are no locks on the upper floors for key fobs. If you take the stairs, the entry to the floors do not require key fobs on the upper levels. You can walk in through the main parking lot entrance and take any stairs up and access any floor without a key fob. The parking lot doors are broken and left open VERY frequently. Residents drive too fast in the garage, try to beat the gate, and frequently break it. It takes about 2 weeks to fix, and until then, it's left open. Literal cars have been stolen from this apartment complex. I've seen literal homeless people sleeping in the garage because of the broken gates (I don't personally care because in the morning I've seen this happen, it was very cold. However it still is a security flaw.) View the old reviews when Alexan NoHo West was under previous management and had a separate Yelp listing and you can see more details. All the good management and staff have already left or are planning on leaving. Now, current staff is flaky and will NOT follow up on your tickets, concerns, calls, or voicemails. You will be disappointed.

It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares as much as she does. I also want to recognize Brett, who is absolutely fantastic. He's incredibly professional, responds quickly, and is always willing to help with anything that comes up. He's kind, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. Together, Candy and Brett make this building an amazing place to live. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for the residents are unmatched. And that's exactly why I'm taking the time to write this. They were the only building that welcomed me as a walk-in. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles. The lobby smelled amazing and the entire vibe felt warm and inviting. They offered me coffee and had apples and bananas out which my son absolutely loved. Chelsea is the one who toured me and she was so kind so sweet and absolutely amazing. After seeing the rooftop, the gym and everything else I'm seriously considering this place. If there's one thing I noticed it's that they actually make you feel like a future resident not just a number based on when I needed to move in.

There are large numbers of homeless individuals around the block, and I've personally been chased multiple times. It's incredibly stressful just coming and going from your own home. Another major issue is the trash collection. The city trash truck consistently comes before 7 AM, and the noise is extremely loud--it will wake you up whether you want it or not. I brought this up to management, but their response was essentially that there's nothing they can do. So you're stuck dealing with it every single morning. On top of that, the building itself is poorly managed. From noisy neighbors throwing parties and screaming at 4 AM to other ongoing issues, management never takes meaningful action. Their response is always the same generic script: "We are working on the issue. If you're not happy, we can review lease termination options with you." In other words, either tolerate the problems or pay more money to leave. The neighbors above me are extremely loud and seem to start their activity late at night, often around 1 AM. The noise is so intense that it wakes me up with a racing heart. It's not occasional--it's every single night. I haven't been able to sleep in my own bedroom for the past year because of this. Instead, I'm paying $3,400 a month just to sleep on my sofa. That's completely unacceptable and far beyond anything anyone should have to tolerate. Between the unsafe surroundings, constant noise, and lack of accountability from management, living here has been extremely frustrating. This place has seriously impacted my quality of life, and I regret signing a lease here.

From discount favs like Daiso and Five Below... To movies at the Regal Theater on level 2. LA Fitness, Creamistry, Trader Joe's, The Stand thriving great and even more coming soon such as Chick Me Out and Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe, to name a few. Partake in use of their huge spacious parking structure as well as parking throughout the entire NoHo West plaza. A lot of non-structure parking is without restrictions and validation is offered at the theater. The first hour is complimentary. Beautiful art, greenery, murals, attention to details and even a splash fountain. They have plenty sidewalks/walk paths in every direction and space for cars to maneuver in and out. I will say as this place has become growingly busy you may be on a parking adventure for a short while. A few connecting local bus routes via LA Metro near by. I've enjoyed a lot of great places here. The Trader Joe's is so spacious and you never know who you might run into at the movies as I've spotted quite a few famous faces when I do see a film here.
