Here's the story. I heard that a real kosher restaurant with all of its offerings Mediterran style opened in my neighborhood. I'm not kosher. But I like outstanding fresh food. And their food was very tasty. And fresh. And expensive. Actually, Very expensive. Even for Boca. And their wines were absurdly expensive. Sure they are all kosher. From around the world. But is a glass of Sauvignon blanc really justifiable at $23? That's a GLASS. And the answer is NO. The Merlot at 9. (From Spain) was good. The atmosphere is, at best, tacky. No sense of design. Cheap looking fake grass on the walls. Plants or vines (all fake) hanging from the ceiling. It was embarrassing for us to see that this was done by someone who thought it was nice. There are TV screens, large ones, behind the bar. And one was plaguing a sports game. Maybe soccer - from Spain. Like huh? Sort of inconsistent with their food origins. The man who greeted us was annoying. The restaurant only had one other table occupied. A 4 top. And he first offered a table next to theirs. No. On top of theirs. And I rejected it. He then offered one at the end closest to the bathroom and register. Nope. And then he offered a high top. Nope. I pointed out several tables and to each he said " they were reserved ". Well what about us? We had reservations for 5:30 and left at 6:30. And it was empty. No one came in to sit at any table. Several pickup orders. People walking down the aisle adjacent to two rows of tables. And 4 women came in, ordered pickup and sat at a table next to us to wait. Sorry. NOT. FOR. ME. Entree after entree wasn't available. And for each one he had to go to kitchen to ask if available. Huh? Our bowl of lentil soup was very hot (as requested) and tasty. A small bowl at $13. The hummus with pita bread was delicious. A small serving size for the price of $12. I guess that's why it is an appetizer. And I noticed an additional charge of $1.75 for the extra pita. Tacky. The grilled chicken breast sandwich with fries was a healthy size with 3 veggies shoved into it - Israeli salad, pickles, and red cabbage slaw. All tasty and fresh. The French fries were quite delicious. At $21, for the size, it was pricey. Make it smaller and charge $16 or $17. At $21, it is pricey. This is not a place I would go to for dinner. It is sad looking inside. The huge screen TV's were annoying. The chairs were comfortable. The knife and fork wrapped in the thinnest napkin, similar to what you get at chick filet or aother fast food place. I have a thing about paper napkins. I don't like them. Not at a place which charges $30 for entrees and $25 for a glass of wine. And a server was likely a sweet and kind person. He was also unlikely a server. When he finished with us he went behind the counter and was chopping. And chopping. And singing. His voice was good. By the way they should put signs on the two restrooms. Neither had a sign and when I asked which one, he did not say it didn't matter. He directed me to the bathroom furthest from the tables. Well I guess it does matter as that one had a urinal. Yup. Men's room. Positive point: was spotless. Odorless. And had hot water in sink. WOULD I RETURN FOR A SIT DOWN MEAL? No. Call in an order and pickup. And enjoy the food at home. There was nothing to enjoy inside. Poor vibe. Hope they survive by a change in vibe and servers. See picture of check that I posted. No exaggeration in pricing or that I was actually there

Fabulous!!! Middle eastern food at its best! Fresh!!! Delicious! Moroccan cigars YUM! And they have a spicy kick. Moroccan cous cous- huge portion- great for sharing. Kids portions are huge!! Service was dynamite! Great music!

Middle Eastern cuisine is one of our favorites so we stopped by Avi's in the food court at the Festival Market while shopping. We shared one of the platter dishes, today featuring chicken and lamb as the protein and ,Humus, Babaghanoush, pita, salad, beets and pickled red peppers. Every component was great and thoroughly enjoyed! If you are at the Festival Market and looking for a great meal check out Avi's.

Since I have a meeting at 2pm, I have to order something quick. OMG.... I made a great choice. I came across a Kosher/Mediterranean spot in Boca Raton with a great menu choice. There are many platter and bowls choices. I've ordered Kabob bowl and my son had ordered Kabob platter. On top, the wings sound very interesting so we also order that too. It's amazingly delicious. You will not be disappointed. The owner told me that they were relocated from The Festival Market. So glad that they are here.

Kosher Mediterranean! They offer authentic kosher food! They offer dishes like shawarma, falafel, kebabs, and shakshuka. It uses fresh ingredients, warm atmosphere, and good service, with customers enjoying it all around! They are certified kosher by the Orthodox Rabbinical Board (ORB), ensuring adherence to high standards of kashrut. Went here with a whole group of women that I am heading to Israel with in November! I had no idea that they were from the Festival Market in Pompano (that is now defunct)! We split some great dishes-chicken schwarma, Israeli salad, falafel with fresh pita (fresh from the oven), beets and Amba dip! Also tried some fried eggplant as well! The prices are a bit high but it was worth it! (I would say the wine is a bit high priced, compared to the food). The portions are large. The owner/family is very nice and very attentive. I will give it another try at some point!

We had a really good lunch here. They are located within the food court of the Festival Marketplace in Pompano. They have only recently opened this kosher restaurant. You order, pay, and pick up your food at the counter. I chose a customized mixed salad platter and added some Moroccan cigars to it. I had wanted to try their kibbe, but they didn't have that on the day we stopped by. My platter included hummus, Baba ghanoush, beets, Israeli salad, an eggplant salad, and the "cigars". I liked everything, although the crispy filo wrapped meat filled "cigars" were a tad spicy for me. My husband shared a bit of my mixed plate. He especially liked the baba. He had a plate of beans and rice to which he added some of their special hot sauce. He said this was very very good, as well. If you have friends who are vegetarian or kosher, there are a lot of options from which to choose. We are neither, but we enjoyed our meals. Lots more items to try here in the future, including their kabobs, and their felafel. This is a welcome addition to the Festival food court. We look forward to returning.

Pargiot (grilled chicken thighs), Israeli Salad, baba ganoush, sautéed mushrooms, and a small courtesy side of pickles to try.

Our family of 6 stopped by Bambu over the Labor Day weekend and were really impressed with the food…read moreand service we received at Bambu. I'm not usually a big fan of Kosher restaurants - they are overpriced and it feels like you are just paying for the Kosher certification (the food is nothing special) but we were meeting family friends here so we gave it a shot, and were really impressed with our meal here. For a Kosher restaurant the price point was reasonable - a little more expensive than a typical restaurant but not by much. Portion sizes were big and the plates were great for sharing family style for the table. We started with the wonton soup and it was a big hit. A few more people at the table had to order their own cup of soup after trying it because it was so good. We ordered the chicken gyozas, vegetable fried rice, chicken and vegetables, orange chicken, and the crispy beef noodles for the table and everyone shared. Every dish was unique and absolutely delicious. The food arrived fast which was great as well. Sometimes with large parties you have wait forever for all the food to be ready but for our table of 6 we waited maybe 15 mins before the food was ready. Everyone was happy! Service was excellent as well. They checked on our table regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, were very attentive, and friendly and made great recommendations for dishes to try. The restaurant itself had a great atmosphere. We really loved all the different colored umbrellas suspended from the ceiling it was a beautiful touch to the restaurant and looked like a work of art. So pretty and unique. All in all we really enjoyed our time and our meal at Bambu. Food was fresh and didn't leave you feeling heavy. Everyone enjoyed it, we will be back again for sure!

Here's a polished, fun review you could post:…read more It's Father's Day, so we decided to order kosher Chinese food from Bambu in Boca. I'll admit... my expectations weren't very high, but wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The Crispy Beef is an absolute MUST! Hands down the best dish we ordered. The Chicken & Eggplant was delicious, the Mongolian Beef was full of flavor, and the Chicken Fried Rice was really good. It was a little light on veggies, but they definitely didn't skimp on the chicken. A special shoutout to the Crispy Noodles with Vegetables. I loved that they packed the sauce on the side, so the noodles stayed perfectly crunchy until we were ready to eat. Such a simple touch that made a big difference! Honestly, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. There wasn't a single dish we didn't enjoy. If you're looking for great Chinese food in Boca, Bambu is definitely worth trying. Just remember it's kosher so no pork lol We'll absolutely be ordering again!

Hands down my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant! Nice ambiance minus the tiny table for one to…read moretwo ppl; if you want to sample many things it becomes cramped. My server was super knowledgeable; I appreciated his suggestions and his desire to ensure I enjoyed everything I ate/drank. The food was amazingly good. The fresh pita bread with the classic hummus (best I've had) was a total win, add the pepper jelly like condiment to it created a kaleidoscope of flavors in my mouth. I literally wanted to sit there the whole night and just eat that. Eventually I added Whole Branzino and Summer salad. Tried the special 'bitter' cocktails, they were very good but not my favorite; I'll have to acquire that taste some more. Returning in a couple weeks. Can't wait! Hoping they have the pistachio cheesecake.

3.5 stars This time…read morewe had a reservation for 7:30pm. Well aware the place is popular and gets very busy but did not think it will take half an hour to finally get a table. When we do, they sat us in a separate room, with a long table (obviously reserved for large parties) and sat us right in the middle of other two groups. We asked to be seated at another table. 10 minutes passed, they came and got us for our new table... nope, same one. At this point we've been there for 45 minutes, so we just sat. It was hard to maintain a conversation with how loud the place is. After another 10 minutes, our server came to tell us how busy she was and that she would be with us as soon as she closed some tables. That really did not sit well with us, after the start we had already. Thankfully another server came and took our order. We ordered a wine from Spain, when the server came they had the wrong one. He went to changed it, and while he was doing that, they brought us another table's one. We told them they were mistaken again. Finally we got the correct one. After all this, things started to look up. The stars this place has is definitely because of their food. I can't say anything bad about it. We had appetizers, entrees, desserts, all excellent. And once the staff got in a flow with our table the night got better. It is unfortunate the start wasn't good, and we weren't able to get a good table as we were celebrating a special occasion and hard to do so sharing it with others. I still would recommend Motek for their delicious food, and beautiful décor.
