We were in search for a new brunch place. Originally we planned to go to another establishment down the road but it was closed for a private event so we had to pivot and find another spot quickly. Thankfully we found Avianna's Carriage House. The main dining area is not big but tables are nicely spaced out. Service was very good and our waiter was friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious. The bottomless mimosas were just as we expected and wanted. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would like to return for dinner in the future.

Welcome Avianna's Carriage to Melville! A beautiful, quaint, and cozy restaurant with some of the nicest employees you could ask for. Service was warm and welcoming, which really made the experience pleasant. We came on a very busy night, and with all the snow, parking was a bit challenging, understandably out of their control. All seven spots were taken, but we were able to find parking in a neighboring building. As with any new restaurant, the first few weeks can be a learning curve. That said, the side dishes and vegetables were excellent--easily 5/5 and a highlight of the meal. For the main dishes, there's room for refinement. The Pork Chop Martini was very large and dry heavily panko-breaded, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. The sauce was simple, but we were hoping for more flavor--perhaps more garlic, pepper or seasoning. The swordfish dish was also quite heavily breaded, with a salad placed on top. Service-5 Stars Food Quality & Freshness 5 3 Star is for lack of preparation in presentation of meal from the description on menu.

The food, service & ambience were phenomenal . This new restaurant in Melville is awesome & you must try it if you live in the area. The portions were also large enough for two people to share I must come back with my husband next time

I could not wait to go here for Valentines Day. I was so excited to try their Oysters Vanderbilt and swordfish. It wasn't what I hoped it would be. I will say the cocktails were fantastic. I found the food to be mostly flat (literally and figuratively), with a few exceptions. The oysters were extremely earthy. All of the components compounded the earthiness rather than introducing different levels of flavor even with the lemon juice. I love swordfish! I go out of my way to find places with it. This was an entirely new preparation which was a gamble that for me, didn't pay off. Our server James and the manager Mike were quick to offer something to replace it and ask about my thoughts on the dish which was so generous of them. The braised short rib was pretty tender and the sauce was very good. The potato pave was soooo good! I could have eaten just that. My husband got the pork chop Milanese and he said it was good but the viscosity of the sauce was somewhat off putting. We weren't going to get dessert but James brought us the crème brûlée donuts that he swore by. He was correct. They were one of the best crème brûlée donuts I've had and I a huge dessert person. They are very sweet so be prepared. The table next to us got the chicken and salmon and they liked both of them. We will have to go back and try more, but I don't think we would order these apps or entrees again.

Opening night and everything was great. The deviled lobster eggs were delicious. I had the pork chop martini, my wife had the prime rib and my daughter had the short rib pasta. We all have enough for another meal. Fries and Brussels sprouts were great. So was dessert. Service was spot on for a first night. Highly recommend. The place has a cool retro vibe with antiques and barn board.

I went here today for the first time and the food was fabulous. I will definitely be returning soon.

Alibi is currently running a Harry Potter pop up, and if you know anything about me, you will know I am a HUGE fan. The Alibi was decorated beautifully and there were two really cute Photo Ops by "Platform 9 3/4" and the Wand Shop. Come here for the drinks! The Hufflepuff was bourbon forward and reminded me of an Old Fashioned which further confirmed that is truly my house. It also came with an edible golden snitch. The server pointed it out before I gave them what I thought to be decor. I popped the chocolate golden snitch in my mouth after being directed to take the wrapping off first. We then did butterbeer shots and I can't even begin to tell you how delish they were...dangerously delicious. Food was had and it wasn't anything to write about but I'll try. Queso dip is made in house, which I respect. Loaded potato wontons were a great idea and were probably the best things on the table. You can't go wrong with pretzel nuggets. Chocolate cake is never a bad idea. I ended my visit with a chocolate frog drink. Very similar to an espresso martini. You know how hot they are right now. It came with a an actual chocolate frog which was nice. Finally one of the staff members came over to help us play Bertie Botts and we all picked a jellybean. I got lemon. Some of us got soap and warwax. So fun! It was so good, we are going to try to snag another rez for trivia. Reservations are for 90 minute seatings. You pay $15 for a ticket but you get a souvenir cup with your ticket. Not mad about this because the cup is actually decent and will be used. Their next pop up will be "Slime Time". Slime is not my thing but maybe you'll see me at the other pop ups.

Portions are decent so you're not leaving hungry, just lighter in the wallet than expected. Oddly the waitress told us candidly that the lunch specials were small and not worth it. I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. Unfortunately, the meat had an oddly gamey flavor that immediately raised questions about the quality or freshness. The sauce itself was decent, but it wasn't enough to save the ribs. For entrées, we ordered the steak frites and the half chicken. The steak was maybe a 5/10, and that's being generous. The meat itself was underwhelming, and the accompanying steak sauce actually made matters worse rather than complementing it. Even stranger was the side salad, which somehow had a noticeable fishy smell and taste--definitely not something you expect from a fresh salad. The half chicken was easily the biggest disappointment. It had an unpleasant flavor that came across as spoiled or rotten, to the point where it was difficult to eat. The potatoes alongside it were about a 4/10--bland and forgettable. Overall, much of the food had the taste and texture of something that had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. Ironically, the fries may have been the best thing we ate all night. Then again, fries are a pretty low bar to clear--and thankfully, they managed not to mess those up. The restaurant was also a bit chilly inside, which didn't help the experience. And on a less serious note, the Diet Coke deserves a mention. Put it next to a McDonald's Diet Coke--and we all know McDonald's is the gold standard--and this one is just sad. I don't enjoy leaving overly negative reviews, but when you're paying restaurant prices, there should be a baseline expectation of freshness and quality. Between the questionable ribs, fishy salad, poor steak, and especially the chicken, this meal fell well below that standard. Food: 3/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Fries: Somehow the MVP
