    Wonton & 3 cheese dip

I had an amazing time at Alibi for Hogwarts Hall. We are big Harry Potter fans so when I saw this popup I just had to come & check it out. The decor was really nice the wallpaper looked real, the tables were super cute with all houses on it. They had a wand shop photo opp & a 9 3/4 photo opp. The ceilings were beautiful as well. . Our waitress (forgot her name, sorry) was really nice & attentive. And at the end someone else took our photos & she was so nice & patient with me as I wanted to take numerous photos. We had the butterbeer float which of course was sweet but was really good & then I had another drink I forgot the name but it was one of the mocktails that was like a potion making drink. It was good. As for the food, we ordered wontons (chicken pot pie filled). Didn't really know what to expect but it wasn't what I expected. It was oƙ but wouldn't order again. The 3 cheese dip was not good (to us) it tasted like it was powdered velveeta that was mixed into melted cheese (the taste was ƙ but the texture was not). We did however, like the pulled pork & the spinach pizza, I think they rotate their apps so we'll try something else next time. Oh yes, there will be a next time. I like that they have themed events. I wanted to go to Grinch but wasn't around to go so I'll see what their next themed event will be.

Pros: friendly staff, sometimes have live comedy shows, lounge like seating Cons: no beers on tap, liquor selection is low (no Jamieson, no jaeger, no redbull). Food selection is an outsourced wonton business that is heated up on premises. Price point of drinks are high for the area and the ambiance. They claim they are starting renovations. That should be nice. Would consider returning after renovations

First: THIS IS NOT A SPEAKEASY. However the inside has a classy, jazzy lounge vibe from when it WAS a "speakeasy". The service was absolutely great! We arrived around midnight for late night drinks and the staff was beyond friendly. Loved it.

I went for the Mr Grinch pop up - it was a great time - of course since it was an event - there was a special limited menu finger food and speciality cocktails. Speaking with the waitress she advised they are in the process of changing this from a Speakeasy to a lounge for regular nights - can't wait to go back and check it out

I went to the Mr Grinch pop up at the Alibi speakeasy on Friday night and it was pretty good. I was a little worried because the menu isn't posted online but what we ordered was very enjoyable. I had the Martha may mimosa which is apple cider instead of orange juice- amazing. I ordered a second one but sent it back because it had too much cinnamon but it was still very good. We had the mozzarella and tomato and the bruschetta. For dessert I got cheesecake which was okay but the red velvet?! So much better. Our waitress was very busy but really friendly and adorable. She was running around like crazy being attentive and patient with everyone. The decorations were really festive and gorgeous the restaurant did a wonderful job. Word to the wise and unrelated to this establishment, be careful in this area. There are a lot of bars and it gets a little wild. My car was one of twenty vehicles vandalized last night. The police were already present when I came outside but my car was still damaged so just be mindful. I definitely would return to this lounge but I will take an Uber.

So here's the thing, I haven't been inside yet. They do seem to have wonderful themes at this Alibi Speakeasy and lounge in on Main Street in Farmingdale. The previous one was Harry Potter theme. I tried to contact them according but not no helpful response. The currenttheme is Ghost Buster. (see pix) It seems a great idea for folks who enjoy these themes and could even dress the part. Will have to stop by upon checking their open hours.

Visit Date: July 15, 2021 This is my second time coming to Alibi. I go to bars for the karaoke scene and I love their Thursday night KJ Annie. The spot I like to frequent most even though it's a much younger scene is Paddy Power with Jay but I like to stop by and see Annie too. Whenever I've come in it hasn't been too crowded. I love that this bar serves coffee drinks. I don't drink alcohol anymore, hopefully never again I'm in AA but I am still hopelessly addicted to my coffee and I appreciate a place where I can get coffee. I had the cinnamon honey latte and two cups of espresso and water. The latte was amazing and the espresso was nice and strong. I usually don't jump off walls after espresso but this one made me good and jumpy and happy. The bar seating here is on the smaller side mostly when you come in you're encouraged to sit at tables and they'll bring drinks and food over to you. I think I'll be visiting alibi at least one Thursday night a month when I hit up karaoke.

The decor decent, they have plush couches, chairs and decorative wallpaper. The drinks we not go at all. I ordered a French 320, was very tart and not balanced. When I tried to return it, I was told I couldn't....what kind of establishment is this. Didnt get to try any food.

Popped in here last night with my girlfriend for a few drinks and was blown away! The drinks are dangerously good. The service was top notch, consistent check ins with us to make sure we were good, super clean, they all were wearing masks, washing their hands after interacting with customers, and immediately cleaned/disinfected tables after they were done being used. They have both inside and outdoor seating, cocktails and mocktails, a pretty big food & dessert menu (limited right now due to COVID but I will be back for that donut though) Highly recommend the Fast Betty & Pineapple Berry Whiskey Smash!

    Cool place!

I always love a good speakeasy, and this one does have a rather unique entrance, so unique that it makes it (smartly) obvious passing by that there must be something good behind the front wall. In particular, the front wall is adorned with about 50 door knobs (the trick is to discover which one will open your gateway to the speakeasy). The entrance in itself is an attraction, and while we were sitting inside we saw a few people open the door just to see if they could find it. Once you do wander inside, you're greeted by a dimly lit, comfortable environment, complete with plush armchairs, coffee tables, curtains, Edison lights, and of course the bar. When we arrived, the place was rather empty (it's still relatively new), so a host told us to sit wherever we'd like and someone would be over shortly. The menu here is relatively short compared to another famous speakeasy chain in the area, but it still had a lot to offer, especially in terms of specialty cocktails. There's also a separate menu for wine and beer. One member of my party ordered the strawberry gin smash, another the fireside cocoa, and I ordered a glass of cabernet for $7 (not a bad deal). We all agreed the drinks were great! Next up were a couple of appetizers: bruschetta and bbq Mac and cheese bites. I particularly liked the bbq Mac and cheese, which packed a fair amount of savory bacon and cheese in each bite. None of us at the table were really a fan of the bruschetta, which essentially was crostini bread with tomato paste, basil, and (I think) fennel. I would have preferred a more traditional bruschetta or for the menu to indicate this was something very different (perhaps call it a tomato taste spread, for instance). Service here was very good, too. The staff was friendly and excited to start welcoming guests in the Farmingdale area. We didn't get to spend a ton of time here because we got a text 20 minutes after we sat down that our table at another restaurant in the area was ready (we were told it would be a longer wait), but I think we'll venture back if we're ever in the area. Definitely swing by if you're ever on Main Street!

Attended the Grinch pop-up at Alibi. It was a lot of fun, thought the Grinch was very funny and entertaining. The drinks were really good and enjoyed some won-tons and the best pretzel ever! They definitely transformed the place into a fun Grinch/Christmas atmosphere. Our service was really good. The show is timed and they had another seating after but we weren't rushed and we were off to next place after, Farmingdale was hopping!

Went here for the Grinch Pop-Up and had a fantastic time. Wait staff was friendly and very attentive. Food was a 3/10 - wish this was a bit better but the drinks and ambiance were amazing. The Grinch stole the show!

Last night, I went to Alibi in Farmingdale with my wife and a group of friends. We were greeted warmly and sat down in some comfortable chairs. The menu was fun and the drink assortment was huge! We stayed for hours and everyone enjoyed the unique vibe that Pete, their owner, has created. The music was very cool and we will definitely return!

The place has a good amount of seating area including high tops, low booths, bar table, and a private room. There is also two unisex restrooms. I came with my boyfriend before an event at Farmingdale State College and we were on a time crunch. I made a reservation on OpenTable but it was not busy at all. We got greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. Then, a server came with ice water for the both of us before our actual waiter came to introduce herself and ask if we were ready to order. Shortly after ordering, the waitress brought us a plate of complimentary bread that comes with garlic on top and olive oil dip on bottom. We got the fried calamari which was perfectly battered (not too little nor too thick) and fried perfectly (not too burnt nor too pale). The taste was great and went well with the marinara sauce. The Clams Oreganata were delicious too - very meaty and flavorful with a nice sauce and lemon to squeeze on top. The Clams Vespa is very unique and creamy. It reminds me of a white Alfredo sauce with baked clams. They had a huge variety of drinks and it was hard for me to choose, but the lady recommended me the Sicilian Kiss which is a strawberry flavored cocktail. It is supposed to be on the sweeter side but the alcohol was strong too. As for our main entree, we got the Papperdelle Bolognese which was a veal, pork, beef ragu on ribbon pasta. Very well cooked and the taste and texture went perfectly together. We were so full, but never skip on dessert! I'm personally not a fan of cheesecake, but they have creme brulee cheesecake and rainbow cookie cheesecake which I would have loved to try if it wasn't for the cheesecake. But I was happy to find out I could order the rainbow cookie gelato that usually comes with the cheesecake. That was yummy! The texture reminded me of the cake mix Ice-Cream from Carvel and the flavor is not too strong. Overall, great vibes and service. Will definitely be back to the the pizza and other pastas.

On Long Island, easy parking can make or break a night out, and Trento definitely delivers there. We grabbed seats at the large, comfortable bar and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. We let our server pick for us, and both choices were excellent. For food, we split the fig, gorgonzola, and prosciutto salad. Beautifully presented and full of flavor. For our entrée, we shared a pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage--another solid dish. But the real standout might have been the focaccia bread. Honestly, some of the best I've ever had--fresh, light, and incredibly delicious. Great food, a comfortable atmosphere, and nice to see a place remain consistently good after all these years. Our waiter Kumar was excellent! On point with a great sense of humor. I thanked him for being so patient with us while we made up our minds on what to order and he said that's what he is. A WAIT er! Hahaha! Only Harold & I ordered apps. I got the steak tartare and Harold ordered the Kobe beef meatball which he shared with Pat. I tasted the meatball, it was so good. Huge but tender. But my steak tartare was the favorite dish of the night. I like the fact that the beef was finely cubed and the seasoning was different from others that I have had but quite delicious. The shredded truffle was a nice touch. The Stracciatella cheese was more abundant than expected but not overpowering. We all ordered different entrées, chicken Parm, a Seabass that was on special, the salmon dish and I got the veal chop All of us loved our dishes. I didn't taste the other entrées so I can't comment on them, but they all looked amazing but my Veal Chop was definitely worth coming back for! I love a good pounded veal chop, and the marsala sauce was delicious without being cloyingly sweet, which sometimes a marsala sauce can be. Also my Prickly Pear Margarita was delicious! Fruity & powerful! Sorry I haven't been here sooner. Thanks Harold! 2-27-2026

We ordered shrimp, steak on the bone, bone marrow, potatoes, polenta, broccolini, shishieto peppers, and paella for dinner to share. We all enjoyed our food. For desserts we got the lemon and blueberry pudding, was delicious. I loved the bread pudding. My grandfather enjoyed his Nutella chocolate.

I admit it, I love the skin! We ordered a bucket of 8 pieces, and chose mac and cheese and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of jalapeno corn bread. There's really no good news here. The chicken was so dry inside, we couldn't eat it and thrw out all 8 pieces. The mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had better. It too was dry, and was basically one big piece of mac and cheese. The cole slaw was..... interesting. It was an odd pinkish color (red cabbage?) with really no sauce that I could find. My hunt for great fried chicken,,,, withnthe damned skin on..... continues.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a restaurant in Nashville. The menu and the drink list really transport you there as well as the live music. The band was so good! I'm on a diet and the waitress was able to work with the chef to accommodate my needs. I was so impressed. I will for sure be back again. I ordered the sweet potato bowl with brisket, tomatoes and onions. I had one drink, whiskey pig bourbon, was very good. The restaurant has a fun cocktail list and a lot of bourbons. Can't wait to take my husband here
