There was a sign on the door saying "be back soon" when I got there on time to pick up my car. The car was not the one I reserved and was FILTHY, it had the service light on that said it was way overdue, and the gas was not full. So I had to wash the car and fill it up before my trip. The printer was out of service so I don't even have my paperwork. I have rented cars all over the world and this is one of the worst experiences. Burelson Texas location, I recently returned a car to this location that I have been renting from for several years now. Jordan has always been kind, courteous and professional. Upon returning the car they could not issue me a receipt because they were having computer and printer issues. I later checked my email and had a receipt and noticed I was overcharged from the original price I locked in on. I printed my receipt and took it back to the Avis office. Jordan and I went over everything and he agreed to issue my credit card a credit. Asked that I wait 3-5 business days, and he would email me and call me to let me know he had followed through with it. I waited a week and never heard from Jordan and my credit card company had not received any credits issued. I went back to the Avis office; Jordan was gone but Casey was there. He was not able to help me he said because I was under Jordans name, and it would have to be done in his computer. Jordan was not there and so Casey put a sticky note on Jordans computer monitor asking him to follow through with this and call me. Then Casey gave me his name and number and said I could call him later and make sure it happened. I did try to call Casey later, I got no answer, left a voicemail and received no call back. Monday 8/25/25 I went back to the Avis office and again Jordan was not there, but Casey was. I said do you remember me, Casey said yes, I do. I told him no credit had been issued to my credit card and that Jordan has not called me and neither did you even after I left you a voicemail. He said lady you need to take it up with your bank Avis has done all that they can do. I told him the bank has nothing to do with my credit card as it is not a card that is through my bank. Casey then replied, "what do you want me to do a back flip." I was taken aback by such a comment and then I said seriously that is your response to a customer coming into this office for help. He said lady there is nothing we can do for you. He was very argumentative with me and was not about to try to help. I told him he had left me no choice but to call the main office and lodge a complaint against him. He said, "lady do whatever makes you happy." I wonder would he have spoken so brazenly and harsh to me if I had been a man or had a male accompany me there? I did go home and call Avis headquarters and lodge my complaint. They were very courteous and apologetic and were going to see to my credit immediately and sent my complaint about Casey to upper management. I can only hope they deal with him harshly and remove him from customer service. As for Jordan, if he is the manager of this location, he needs to be more present and aware of what is happening in that office as well as follow through with customers when he says he is going to do something. Avis it might be time to go investigate this location and clean house. read more

Rude young man told me I had to wash and vacuum before I returned the car because I had dogs in the car which I never did ! I politely told him I flew in to Texas and had no dogs he proceeded to yell at me and said YES YOU DID. I took the car and drove around the block when I came back he said I won't charge you for an extra day. I was 30 minutes early! This is the absolute worst Avis in the Country rent from the Airport or stick with Enterprise in Burleson. I had to give one star because they would not let me post with no stars. DFW Avis is good,and Hulen never had any issues from them. read more

I'm a frequent Avis customer and this is probably the worse location that I've been to. The young man that works here took 48 minutes to get to me because he kept rambling about random stuff with the people in front of me. At some point when he walked outside to talk to a customer the lady ahead of me said she had been there for over an hour and he skipped her twice. I felt pretty bad... Not sure what to do at that point. Well finally my turn and the guy at the front desk was very unprofessional. He's very lazy and requested for the car to be detailed although we got the car dirty and it has mechanical issues. Car was returned clean and I have receipts but yet He still charged an additional fee. He needs additional training on customer service. Trust me when I say I won't rent from here again. read more

I rented a car from here recently. I rented it online and picked up the car on Thursday, November 9th and I reserved it till November 30th. My car ended up getting done at the shop earlier than we thought and so we returned the car on Wednesday nov 15th. When I originally picked up the car, the employee who helped me told me that I pre paid and gave me the number of customer service to call if I brought the car back early and told me they would refund me. I called them on the 15th before I brought the car back and they told me it was $965.63 that I didn't use but that they wouldn't refund me because I pre paid. I didn't even know you could pay any other way. When I brought the car back, the employee again told me that I should get refunded and said that's not right how I was treated. I called back and they still wouldn't refund. Don't rent from this company! read more

I travel for work and I rent from avis at least three times a month. Normally it's a great experience. I'm a preferred member and they treat me very well. This independently owned avis is a nightmare. I should have just gone to the airport. First of all they don't let you park your car on premises, there's a big aggressive sign that says if you do you will be immediately towed. Should have been a red flag there. After I dropped the car off I had the lady at the desk look it over and we made sure everything was OK. I do this with every rental. She said it was fine. An hour later I get a call from the owner an hour later saying that the car was filthy and they are going to charge me $250 for a cleaning fee. I called him back and instead of dealing with the issue or giving me steps to dispute it he hung up on me. Unbelievable. Luckily avis is letting me dispute it and I'll get my money back. After reading all the negative I noticed one common thing, the manager named Courtney. This place apparently used to be pretty good until he started. read more

Mixed. Friendly, relatively quick service, best price by far if prepaying (drove 30 minutes to save $300 over several closer Avis). Cut our rental short by two days, but no partial refund since I prepaid. Meh. SUV smelled overwhelmingly like old, wet dog after warming up a few minutes down the road. Called Avis about it, and was told they could deodorize but we'd have to wait 30 minutes to an hour to be safe. Suggested an air sanitizer from an auto parts store which worked unless the car had sat for awhile, which would require respraying. In case you miss the notice on the door, there is no overnight parking. Brought back the vehicle to find out my car was towed, and the wrecker yard wouldn't be open for two days. They should put a larger notice inside or mention it during the checkout process. read more

I have a shop here in Burleson and send customers for rental vehicles. This facility has taken advantage of my customers more than once over billing for vehicles and "optional service charges". My customer had no idea what the charges were and the charges were never explained. When I called to verify charges I was told they could not talk to me. They couldn't even explain what charges would be accessed if I were to rent a car. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. I usually do not write review but I think this should help other customers in the future. read more

Do yourself a favor and never rent from here. Go down the street to Enterprise. First I was charged an upgrade because they didn't have the car type I reserved online. The owner told me I could return the car if I didn't need for the full week and I would only pay for the days used. 1 week rental was 314.44, returned 2 days earlier and paid 308.83. When I asked the owner why he wasn't honoring what he told me he responded that I had received a 4 car upgrade for only $10 a day. Basically I should be happy that he's ripping me off. When I responded that I didn't want the upgrade, I wanted the car I reserved he handed me my paperwork back clearly indicating he was going to do nothing to make it right. I wasn't looking for something free. I just want to pay for what I reserved and the for the time I used it. read more

We have rented vehicles here for years. We will NEVER rent from this establishment again. I do NOT recommend. We rented a car to attend my husband's Veteran Grandfather's funeral. These scamming jerks took out over $300 more than what was in my online agreement via Ticketsatwork.com and we never even signed a contract before leaving with the car. They let me take the car with out signing ANYTHING! Then they claimed they found an animal hair and that was the reason for the up charge. We never even had an animal close to the vehicle. As a matter of fact we vacuumed the vehicle out before returning it as we have always done as a courtesy. Robbing people is they way they do business. I'd take your business elsewhere. I'd also like to point out that my husband asked the woman behind the counter to have the owner of this establishment call him and there have been no attempts. I rent a lot of cars in a lot of different locations and this Avis/Budget is by far the best location I do business with. They are always very friendly and helpful in here I'm out in less than 10 minutes every time. Highly recommend if you need a vehicle in this area! read more

Worst customer service experience I've ever experienced anywhere!!! We reserved a car to be picked up on Monday morning at 8 am, received confirmation e-mail of the reservation as well as a second e-mail reminder of my reservation. When we got there, there was no cars available. The attendant said there was an issue with the reservation system, we have no cars available. Now normally, I would understand that this stuff happens, but usually with a big chain company like this, they would make the effort to call another location to find us a car. Nope! This guy just said we have no cars, you'll have to go somewhere else. Wasn't even planning to reimburse us for our reservation until we brought it up. So now I have 1 hour to get to work, no car and not enough left on our credit card until the reimbursement goes through the system. This guy was unhelpful, unresponsive to our plight and uncaring about what just happened to us!!! Terrible terrible experience. And according to the rental car place down the street, this is not an isolated incident with this location. They take in a lot of calls from people stranded with the same situation as I was in. They've even driven to Avis to pick up irate people stranded there. Will never attempt to use this location again! read more

This was our first time to ever rent a car and it was for a 2 week long family vacation. I spent days and hours on the internet trying to figure out how to go about renting a car in the first place. My husband and I did away with our credit cards a long time and never looked back. Apparently, without a credit card it seemed next to impossible to rent one. We finally decided to just go up to our local Avis here in Burleson to speak with them. Not only did the extremely nice man talk us through it, he reassured us about using a debit card along with a soft credit check, and even gave us an amazing price that was about $500 less than I was finding online. Unlimited mileage, SUV of our choice, not to mention extreme politeness! We had a fantastic vacation in a perfectly comfortable and very nice Pathfinder. We were due to have the car back at noon on Saturday. And we just were not going to be able to make that. I called and spoke with them, they told us our options and we were able to return it Monday with a surprisingly small extra fee for the 2 extra days. The return process was easy and painless, and this place and the employees will have me not even hesitating to recommend them to anyone, not to mention using them in the future. First and last time to rent with Avis. Reserved a Chevy Surburban in April for a 3-family vacation in July. Scheduled to pick the vehicle up at noon on a Saturday. They called at 11:10 AM to let me know that the vehicle would not be there but offered a smaller vehicle which absolutely would not work for us because of the amount of stuff we had to carry. Ended up having to cancel because there were no Suburbans available anywhere. Fortunately, Enterprise in Burleson had an Expedition at the last minute. It cost a little more but at least we didn't have to cancel the vacation. Lesson learned. read more
