Return line took an hour

Avis has the absolute worst customer service. I waited on a line for 90 min to get my car and then waits another hour to return it a day later. Please do yourself a favor and choose another company.

Charged me $10 even though it's clearly full.

I usually go with Avis but they were sold out and Enterprise had pretty good rates so I figured what the heck. . Upon arrival, the pick up process was very quick and easy. As I was waiting for my bags I walked like 7 steps to the Enterprise counter and within 5 mins I had the keys to the car. The car was parked down the road, about a 3 minute walk away. It was quite easy to pickup the car and be on my way. I got a decently equipped Pacifica and was very happy with it. Overall, I'm going to give them a strong 4 stars. Even though I'm a Avis fan, I'd definitely consider these guys next time.

I don't normally speak up unless something was truly wrong, and I did. My flight came in pretty close to the time I had to be at a wedding, it was raining, I am handicapped, and it was a long way to walk to get the car- so I didn't have time to go back and exchange it for another vehicle. As soon as I opened the vehicle it smelled musty and of cigarette smoke. Regardless of the weather the brakes in the car were more sensitive than getting used to a car would be, and it was raining and the windshield wipers were not very effective. I informed the gentleman of my experience, and I explained that I even took it to the car wash to use the fragrance and vacuum to try to get the smell out- I even opened coffee bean packages to try to absorb the smell- everywhere I drove I had to keep putting the windows down to breathe and got a terrible headache. The manager came out immediately, apologized and took care of the manner immediately! I was so grateful! Every time I come to visit my family I fly through HPN and always use Enterprise, and I was so glad they addressed this and had wonderful customer experience! Will use next time! Thank-you!

Apart from appearances and scent of a men's locker room in their office, this Enterprise fit the bill for that diamond in the rough. Yet, service from Justin was great both times- when I picked up my rental and returning it 3+1/2 weeks later while my own car was being repaired. He was most helpful when I returned the car and signed-off all my paperwork. Except, I needed a ride to get to the auto-body shop to pick up my newly-repaired car. Done. Thank you! These folks gave me some peace of mind while I drove the rental. The Jeep was in tip-top condition and drove excellent- with a great value at that.

They did not know how to lower the price for the lower tier vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager and they said i could come back tommorow. I rent from SIXT all over the globe. I work for a fortune 500 company. I have honestly never have heard someone so rude and did not know how to do their job. I called customer service and they could not help and expessed that the agent at the location should not charge the same price for a lower tier vehicle and they should know how to change it. I think i will speak with the owner of our company and cancel our use of SIXT.

One visit, in particular, was during an incredibly difficult time, when I had just learned my father was not going to make it. In moments like that, kindness matters more than ever. Harold showed genuine compassion and made what could have been a stressful process, payments, paperwork, everything: feel easy and manageable, and he does it with warmth and a smile on his face. I meant to leave a review back then, but I'm especially glad to share this now after another great experience yesterday. I'm currently traveling back for my father's funeral with my baby, and seeing Harold again was a small but meaningful bright spot during a very heavy time. I also accidentally gave him my red Macy's card instead of my actual red credit card, he was so nice about it and we had a good laugh. (my eyesight went when I was pregnant with my baby girl, which makes some things challenging for me when my glasses are not accessible). He is truly kind, personable, and professional. His customer service is exceptional, and he represents Budget in the best possible way. He is a big reason why I continue to choose Budget for both my personal and business travel.

When I went to the desk with my confirmed reservation to pick up the car, I was told they did not have any vehicles available and that I would have to wait for a car to be returned. I was also told approximately 6-7 people were waiting ahead of me. There was no guarantee they would have me in a car that day. Several of the other customers had been waiting for several hours. I checked all the other rental car agencies, but there were no cars available. I had an approximately hour + drive to where my family lives. Thankfully, there was a car service willing to take me that far. So instead of the $500 I was going to pay to have a vehicle and the flexibility of getting around on my own schedule and as needed, I had to pay the same amount to get to my destination and back to the airport, no vehicle to drive during my 5-day trip. The people at the desk did not even apologize; both people I spoke with said it wasn't their fault, and there was nothing they could do to assist me. VERY disappointing and will never reserve through Budget again.

I was quickly in to sign some quick paper work. Then quickly out with a new SUV - I was the first to drive it. Nice. And later, when dropping it off, all I had to do was turn in the keys. After arriving in White Planes NY we got our luggage and then went over to get in line. The line was already longer than the other places. We stood there for a few, and then a few more. No one was moving one person was working the counter and was taking forever. Three other people were waiting who had already gone through the line and were waiting for them to bring the car up still. The line moved by one person and the other person was up there for at least 30 mins. She was only taking a black car nothing else would work. Really lady kets hole up the line because you want a black car. Why do you need a black car for real, anyway we finally got up to the counter and then went through all the normal stuff. Then they told us that they had to still clean the car and then bring it around. In total, we were there for over an hour to rent a car that was already reserved ahead of time. This was just ridiculous and for someone who is autistic, it was a huge challenge, as well as all the other people that were getting super upset that they also were having to wait for a car this just added to the overstimulating situation that was happening. There has to be a better way to do this that is not so disorganized. Like, Have the customers meet you out in the garage to get their car or talk on the phone when and where to bring the car up. It was not a great way to start or vacation off in NY.

There was a little bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly as if you didn't have a reservation you had to go on a wait list. We approached the counter and my co-worker gave his name and they quickly located all the paperwork....pre-completed. That was such a great touch! Didn't have to wait for paperwork to print or answer any questions. Handed us papers and keys and wished us a good day. Now for my single star deduction. As we exited the building zero signs as to where to go for the rental cars. We looked all over the place and were unable to see anything promising. We decided the parking structure across the street must be where they are. As we crossed the street I looked back and much further down (from where we exited the rental car area) was a sign on a pillar that had an arrow and pointed to the end of that building for rental car pick up. So we went back across the street and headed that way....success! Found our car and we were able to exit w/o any inspection. All in all a great place to get a rental. Love there is no requirement to get on a bus and get transported to a place to get your rental.

Arrived at the pick up desk only to find out they have no cars available. When we asked when a car would be available, we were told they don't know but there are 7 other people before us in the same predicament. Not having reserved cars available for confirmed reservations seems to be a common experience at this airport based on reviews we read subsequently, and comments we heard from local ride service drivers. Do yourself a favor - rent from others and avoid the Hertz headache.

The guy working the counter seemed to be rushed and not very personable with his approach to customer service. Then when I got outside to get in my car, the folks working the lot had renters bringing cars back stacked up in front of the cars that were being picked up, so a few of us had to wait a while for them to jockey cars around to free up the aisle so I could get out. During this process, I watched the lot guy hit another car and bend the bumpers on both, I sure hope they don't try to blame that on the previous renter! Overall - Poor service and logistics at this location. (Customer service, if you want to talk to me about this rental you reach out to me, don't post the generic reply asking me to contact you - those links don't work!)

The National roadside assistance (seemingly outsourced to a company called Urgently) was useless. We almost froze to death (13 degrees outside). They said they were dispatching a tow truck and uber for us. Neither arrived. We called back numerous times. Useless. Then they said National was "taking ove the case" and I should call the local office at Westchester County Airport but they NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE despite multiple attempts and trying all of the options provided. Back on the phone with various general phone numbers for National. Hard to get people and, most don't speak English well and seem to have little capability to do anything. I have always liked National because of their staff but this experience is the opposite. Their chat service doesn't work at night! What could be cheaper than manning a chat service at night? And they don't do it. I will never ever rent an expensive car like this through National. They don't have the capacity to manage it. Not to mention this whole experience is ruining a vacation.
