This was honestly the worst car rental experience I've ever had. No one answers the phone no matter how many times you call which makes it basically impossible to get any help or even simple questions answered. When I finally dealt with the manager in person, they were extremely unprofessional and just straight up rude. There was zero sense of customer service and it felt like helping customers was the last thing they wanted to do. What's even more frustrating is that this kind of experience makes the whole Enterprise name look bad. You expect a certain level of service, and this location completely misses the mark. At the end of the day, this comes down to management. The way this place is run is unacceptable, and it clearly reflects poor leadership. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. read more

MY VEHICLE: 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage (black) Mileage:55k+ Rental: Tuesday April 30th 4:50pm till Thursday May 2nd 2024 YEAH IM LATE WITH A REVIEW ... First off the size of the Mirage is extremely small( I did order an economical vehicle). But don't be fooled about the resilience of this vehicle. Now at first glance you may think this vehicle is geared towards teenagers whom finally obtain a license. But let it be know that the 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage IN MY OPINION, is definitely THE GAS saving vehicle you need to rent. But as comfortability...I'd recommend to be more cushions and a minor adjustment to the seats. The entertainment system is fine(can't go wrong with an APPLE CARPLAY feature). But the only change is the placement of the USB port and a safer place to place your mobile phone. Joe my sales person most definitely gave me THE CUSTOMER SERVICE experience. He was(is) professional, pretty much knew what he was talking about and just was good. I mean when I see someone who has a great work ethic and can maintain patience with a calm pace while being busy during midday...yeah he knows how to DO HIS JOB as the boss! If it wasn't for a friend of mine next door(the competitor whom definitely also is another AMAZING rental service not because it's a formal place of employment of mine, but both AVIS AND ENTERPRISE KNOWS HOW TO TREAT customers)...whom recommended this car rental service to me. Came to location in white plains NY and they did not have the vehicle i booked online. Offered me a lower class vehicle for the same price as the higher tier. They did not know how to lower the price for the lower tier vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager and they said i could come back tommorow. I rent from SIXT all over the globe. I work for a fortune 500 company. I have honestly never have heard someone so rude and did not know how to do their job. I called customer service and they could not help and expessed that the agent at the location should not charge the same price for a lower tier vehicle and they should know how to change it. I think i will speak with the owner of our company and cancel our use of SIXT. read more

With so many car rental options around, this Enterprise location across from The Westchester came in 1st place for their SUV selections when I had to grab a rental after my fender-bender in late April. Apart from appearances and scent of a men's locker room in their office, this Enterprise fit the bill for that diamond in the rough. Yet, service from Justin was great both times- when I picked up my rental and returning it 3+1/2 weeks later while my own car was being repaired. He was most helpful when I returned the car and signed-off all my paperwork. Except, I needed a ride to get to the auto-body shop to pick up my newly-repaired car. Done. Thank you! The manager here at this location has a bad attitude. Customer service skills suck. We had a rental due to an accident and once the day of return came he threatened and reported the car stolen. He would not wait for the insurance company to pay, he simply went and reported the car stolen three times. I'm still waiting for my refund. I called customer service four times and requested a supervisor. No call back as of yet and it's been three weeks since the car was returned. Never again will I so business with these nasty crooks. I had a rental car already in appointment for pick up on 09/19/2022 at 9.00 am. I got the most unprofessional call at 8.50 am to be told that my rented car had been given to someone else and my only option was at 12.00 pm. Needles to say that the agent who later identified himself as Jim didn't even offer me maybe a rental in another location in White Plains simply hanged up on me. Later in the day I called back at about 10.15 am to cancel this rental since I was lucky to get a rental from Avis down the block. Upon requesting the cancelation he also hanged up on me againg in the middle of a question. So, how would you feel about when customer service was so blatantly rude and disrespectul??? If I could give a lower score, I would. This White Plains location was absolutely pathetic. After many years of being a loyal customer, last September I vowed I would never rent from Enterprise again. I just finished making another reservation with Avis (who I have had great experiences with since last September). Last August I reserved a car for a week (September 8th pick up). I received 2 calls confirming my reservation a day before arriving. And on the day of my reservation, I spoke to a rep in the White Plains office at 10:30 AM. But yet somehow when we arrived at 3:30 there was NO CAR for us! After 2.5 hours of waiting we ended up leaving WITHOUT A CAR! During that 2.5 hours, my 86 year old mother and I waited- our choices were to wait either outside in the hot parking lot (near a smelly dumpster) or inside in the dirty cramped office. Not fun! By 6:00 PM, most all other locations were closed so we ended up having to call central reservations and booking a car from the Norwalk,CT location for the following day - (though I wasn't too confident that that would happen either!). Logistically, this was a MAJOR inconvenience that added 100 miles and 2.5 hours of driving during rush hour into our already hectic schedules. At the Norwalk location, Brett the manager was great but.... Because I used my Enterprise Gold points on the White Plains reservation, they couldn't apply them to the new reservation until the other one was canceled. That ended up taking close to another 2 hours... During the 6 weeks following this awful experience, I had reached out to Enterprise customer service close to 20 times. I requested a call back from the regional manager. That phone call never happened. Apparently Enterprise does not value their loyal customers so I have not and will not be giving them my business any longer. I will say, there is one good thing that came out of this atrocious, horrible experience - I have found AVIS! Their prices are reasonable, their rewards system is good, and their customer service has been spectacular. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. During the first week of October (2015) my car was in the shop, so I came to enterprise to rent. I had booked a reservation for a full-size sedan, and arrived 25 minutes late (I had called to let them know), the staff could not have been more welcoming. I chatted with Nick and Stephanie for a little while, before they informed me that I was upgraded for FREE to a 2015 black convertible mustang. What a treat! I got to enjoy the last few warm days in a gorgeous car that I would have never been able to drive otherwise. On that first day, I signed up for the $30/day insurance on the car, but after I left, I realized that I would have a higher than expected bill with that insurance. I called, and came back the next day, and they switched me to the $15/day, including the first day since I had called. That is GREAT customer service! I did not hear the word "No" once during my entire experience with this Enterprise. Nick is awesome, Stephanie is super nice, and the woman who I returned the keys to at the end was on the phone and helping several other customers and was still kind and patient with me. Had to get a rental coming from Hyundai next door while the car has been in for service. The team here has been expedient, helpful, and showed great customer service. While being processed, if an employee thought I had not yet been assisted, they quickly asked if they can help. Parties Danny and Jeremy, I hope I have their names correct, have been excellent. In and out in minutes. They walk the car with you, orient you to import items like Key fob use, where the gas cap is, mirror settings. More important than you realize They also orient you effectively to the contract you are signing so you know what you are doing. All part of the job I am sure, but they have been thorough. I've rented from them a handful of times this past year and some time ago. Never a bad experience for me. Since I am in for service, you get a rental rate based on the relationship with Hyundai. You can go up on vehicle type if you choose. I have several times in order to try different cars since I am in the market for another car. The latter is far better than five minutes at a dealership test drive. In any event, I thought their service warranted a review. They do a great job, cars are in great shape, the rates for my needs were fair, and the process is painless. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could! We unfortunately were rear-ended in an accident, and needed a car. Our insurance company recommended we go to Enterprise. Only problem was, Enterprise was about to close, and we were 15 minutes away. We called them, and practically begged them to stay open for us. They did indeed wait for us, and were extremely nice about it. We got a nice car, for a fair price. They even called us the next day, to see how we were doing and if we liked the car. And they emailed us to thank us for renting from them. So amazing! Then again, when we returned the car, it was an easy, smooth, and pleasant experience. We actually gave them a box a cookies, to thank them! Thanks to Greg, and to the other employees to helped us out, when we were in a stressful situation. Danny and Brian are the best!!! I was leaving work at 5:00 PM and gave this location a call because it's on my way home, just to see if they had anything I liked. I was in a car that I got from another location in Yonkers and I liked it but wanted something different. Upon picking up with a friendly greeting (which is rare when it's almost closing time at most places), they asked me how they could help. I said I wanted to know what they had to rent on the lot at the time and they told me they had a lot! Boy, were they right! I told them I was in a Chrysler 300 and wanted something else and Danny checked and told me they had a BMW 5 series. I told them I would be right there and they welcomed me and started everything once they saw my Chrysler pull in. They already were ready to start the transition. They had me in and out so fast that I couldn't believe I just returned one car and checked out another. Even though they were officially closed, they didn't rush me at all and helped move my stuff out of the Chrysler into the BMW. I didn't feel like I just met them for the first time, I felt like they were my friends! Words can't describe the level of customer service that they gave me and all of the customers before me while I was there! They waste no time and want you in and out with a smile! Worse enterprise better off going to Connecticut. They tried charging my insurance for something I didn't do just because there are little scratches on the roof. Took the car back went to Connecticut and they told me that it was no big deal they wouldn't charge my insurance for something so little. read more

I am very particular about 5 stars because I believe everything has some room for improvement but in the case of this rental, I felt unfair giving it 4 star as I can't think of any way my experience with enterprise Westchester avenue could have been better! I was a first time renter of any car! I was expecting rude staff and obnoxious treatment but I must say this associate named Mike was extremely nice and friendly and helped us throughout our renting experience. It truly seemed like he was looking for his customers best interest. I was pleasantly surprised! Then when we were taken to the car, the car was black Nissan Sentra. It looked like it was right out of a fresh car wash and cleaning if not brand new :) I had a big smile on my face seeing it's condition and Mike explained everything to us including which coverage he thinks best suits us and also not making us feel pressured at all! I'm so happy with this experience that I'm definitely renting again from them next time which happens to be next week for the long weekend. Definitely recommended!! P.s I noticed all others reviews are old and not so great, I'm guessing maybe now enterprise Westchester avenue has a different staff because they deserve excellent feedback! read more

Usually I would rate Enterprise higher. However, I'm ridiculously displeased at this particular location's customer service. I called and asked about renting a mini van. I spoke to the manager (Nick). On the phone he was just as pleasant as could be. I asked him how much a mini van would cost me. He told me that he could give me a rental for $100 a day. He made a point to tell me that the lowest he could give it to me was $110 a day, but... I said "That's great!" I gave him all of my information and told him what time I would be there. When I got the mini van, Nick checked me in and asked me how I would pay for this. I told him - debit card. He asked, do you have $600 available? I answered, "yes". I paid, and he then handed me over to Mike. Mike was very nice and he showed me how to put the seats down in the rental. I drove off confident. I had an accident in my rental (I backed into a tree that was in my blind spot) and when it was time to return the rental, because it was after 6:00pm, I was directed to the only location that was open (LGA). The employees at THIS location were over the top polite. While working with them, I noticed the price on my contract. It was $200 a day!!! I said to the guy - Wait a minute, that wasn't the price I was quoted. He checked the computer - sure enough! $200! I was told to contact the location I made the rental. I called the White Plains location, asked for Nick. He wasn't in. "Leave your name and number, I can have him call you back when he gets in". Me: "Will he be in before 2:00pm?" "Yes". I left my info, Nick never called. I called the day after that - no answer. I called again, got him. Told him all that transpired. Nick says, "Ma'am, I would never quote you a price of $100 a day". And was defensive and offended that I seemed to question it. After explaining to him that I had no need to try and cheat him, he told me that he would refund me $25 a day because his rentals begin at $175 a day. He then went on to tell me that I didn't make a reservation (check the 1st paragraph) and that he was doing me a favor because Mike had gone over the price with me (he didn't). I told him Mike didn't even show me how to turn the car on (the key didn't go into the ignition - I had no idea how to turn the car on and almost peed on myself - long story). While I'm livid about the misquote, and am grateful for the little refund I'm receiving, I have to accept the fact that I overlooked the price on my contract. I took Nick at his word. When he retracted his word, he had the signed contract to rely on. My issue: other than the reneging and misleading on pricing, other than telling me that I had not made a reservation (why was my information taken?), the fact that nice guy Nick, told me he would do the refund as a courtesy then promptly HUNG UP ON ME!!! WTF NICK?!? That I cannot tolerate! That was horrible and inexcusable! So you sir, get the proverbial finger!!! PS: I was told that someone would call me in regards to the damage - no one ever did! read more

i needed to rent a car the last minute as some relatives were visiting from the west coast and i really dont have the time to taxi them around so i rather rent a car for 3 days at my expense and hand them the keys which is better then visiting 3 different states and seeing more relatives . this enterprise in white plains has a simple process to rent a car , you get more then a few choices of car styles, prices and insurance options . with i not being the primary driver i took the full insurance package which is a bit pricey but its worth it. a midsize car with unlimited gas , insurance cost me about 500 for three days which is expensive but my visting relatives could return the car in pieces and it wont cost me a penny. the lady at the customer counter made the whole process simple and easy and explains the car return dates so i would incur any add on fees . it would have been much cheaper to lend one of mine or siblings cars to our visiting relatives but sometimes its better going the rental way. read more

I rarely feel compelled to write a review about a car rental service but the crew who manages and runs the shop here on Westchester Ave has to be commended. These guys, in particular Zach and Danny are all about making the customer happy. I was in car accident and needed replacement rental. Wanted a suburban since that is the type I always drive. Zach had an employee drive to Mt Kisco that afternoon to get me the car I wanted and actually even had someone pick me up since I had no way to get there. He was so amazing and nice I hope his bosses recognize his excellent service will have me recommending them for years... Also, Danny also was very very accommodating since I had to keep the car one more day. He made the drop off very easy and got me in and out in a few minutes.
