Avis is the worst place to rent a Car or Van, we rent with ahead of time, like three months before the trip through the Expedia, when my husband get there with his brothe in law they didn't have the Van and the guy who was totally insane, irresponsible, and disrespectful, tell a bunch of a lies, saying that they don't contact no one though the email or phone and they didn't have the information on the system, so when they show him the reservation they made, the Indian guy get angry and ask then to leave, so they have to call customer service to fix the problem and they send them to Orlando at the airport to pick the Van, so when they get there they neither has the Van, waist of time, so again they call and send them to another hour far away to pick the Van where they finally get it, we lost a day of the trip and we couldn't complete our plans for the trip and miss a lot af place because of this situation, I do not recommend this place to any one, shame of you Avis! I WOULD NOT GIVE THEM NOT EVEN ONE STAR, JUST BECAUSE THE SYSTEM NEED A STAR TO PROCEED, I DID! read more

No customer service. Rude. I had a rental from MCO with a broken rear virlew mirror and the woman at Ocala told us to "drive it back to MCO"

RUDE One worker inside on a Sunday, refused to allow me to rent a car, stating they were "all reserved for Monday morning". I asked how I could make a reservation for Monday, and he asked me to step over to the desk. If there was availability to make a reservation, how were they all "pre-reserved". There were plenty of cars outside, I was happy to rent any size vehicle. I chose to leave and give another company my business. read more

Do NOT trust this business. They know they have very little competition so they treat their customers like garbage and really don't care. I prepaid an Avis reservation for a truck, got there, the vehicle I paid for wasn't there. The incredibly rude man at the desk said he'd give me a much smaller vehicle--no refund, no price concession, no other option, take it or leave it. Meanwhile, two SUVs are sitting outside. I asked for his name--he refused. I asked for the customer service number--he told me to look it up on my phone. I asked if there was anything he could do--nope, just take the little car. Judging by other reviews and by this company's reputation among Ocala residents (friends & family) my experience was not at all unique. This is a bait-and-switch scam. You will not get what you reserved, they will strong-arm you on insurance, and you'll be left without transportation. Fortunately the 800 number gave us a full refund and we went up to the Gainesville airport the next day and got a great deal from another company. Well worth a drive to avoid this sleazy place.
