Rented a car to drive to Florida for 10 days. Process was easy, staff at Lower Burrell, PA store we're very helpful and patient. We head out the next morning and noticed that there was a shimmy in the wheel at 40mph to up 80mph. You can even feel it in the passenger seat. Called and spoke to someone at Lower Burrell location. They made note of the problem and told me to contact a location near my destination. Saturday, I called Inverness location and they didn't have any cars. Was told they would get back to me. Wed I called them back and still no cars. Said there were 16 people ahead of meCalled the 800#. and they said they would locate one for us. Told her we needed it by Thursday and of day because we were leaving early Friday morning. No call. No one ever reached out to us. So frustrating that their customer service is so poor. This location inside the airport is just ok. They falsely advertise cars to get you to call and then tell you it's not available - as in they advertise things NONE of the Ocala locations have. I asked them to call me when they got something in that was nicer than this rental and they never did. They start with the customer service promises and then don't do anything. The process of using my insurance here was easy and I did get the car in less than 20 minutes, but them not following through and faking their inventory is slimy and predatory. read more

The Twelve Days of Yelpmas Day Ten It was easy in, easy out both renting and returning at this Enterprise. They might not have the selection of a larger location by an airport but customer service was on point. This Enterprise is also much cleaner than the Avis/Budget car rental on S. Pine. I happened to be eating next door to that place and wandered over cause I needed to rent a car. I was looking around thinking what a dump it was when my sister called saying she and my brother-in-law were headed over to my dad's Florida condo right then. Only excuse I needed to get out of there. Glad I went to Enterprise instead. My dad drove me over to this Enterprise the next day with less than an hour before close when I had no reservation and they got me in and out. (I wasn't sure about the timing of this trip as it got delayed due to me having Covid and I had other family concerns so I didn't want to make any advance arrangements.) Mike took good care of me, tapping his way through everything on his tablet. I wanted a basic subcompact but those were all out so I ended up with a smaller SUV - a 2025 Nissan Rogue. It rode really nice and beyond the fact I can't really complain about them being out of subcompacts when I didn't pre reserve, it actually worked out for the best. The Rogue wasn't too bad on mileage and I ended up having to fold the back seat down and sleep in it one night when seemingly every hotel within 50 miles of Miami that wasn't a greasy pay by the hour place was sold out due to it being Art Basel weekend. Again, my uncertain timeframe had hamstrung me but hey, I've slept in vehicles before and the Nissan came in clutch, letting me get about as decent a night of sleep as I could hope for. I took the Rogue down to the Keys and to Busch Gardens Tampa as well as some more local stuff near Ocala before I went back to ride sharing with my dad. The week I had it was comparable in price to the last time I rented a car, which I took from Michigan to New Orleans which I think was also about a week though it might have been a day or so longer. That was back in 2019 and I'd heard/expected prices had gone up like everything with the pandemic so the cost wasn't the sticker shock I feared. My bill actually came out to a bit less than Mike estimated but then when the additional fees from the all seeing eyes of the Florida toll roads were tacked on several days later it about evened out or maybe was slightly more. Not a big deal, as I knew those miles were gonna add up and at least those damn pay roads are buttery smooth, much unlike our battered thoroughfares up here in Michigan. I don't know if I'll find myself in Ocala again as dad's selling his condo there in the spring and if I head down to help and chauffeur him most of the way back in his car I don't know if I'll need to rent my own vehicle at all. (Again, there's uncertainty and a fluid situation.) But if I do I'll definitely look to this Enterprise first. read more

Please ,please do not rent from enterprise. I signed and rented for 3 days.. 8/28 returning Sunday before 4:34 . Done! 9/15 received receipt for 8/28-9/2 at 7:45 I was charged 5 days because they We're closed from sat at 1 through 9/1 for holiday... no one said anything about keeping the car because no one was there, no one told me verbally or in writing!! I'm paying for xtra 2 days because their failure to communicate. they offered a credit on my next rental, but refused a refund. I refused the credit and will be contacting corporate offices. I will never rent from enterprise again! Keep that credit, I want my money not give you more business. Im Really easy going, but I'm tired of being taken for a fool and hard earned money. Horrible experience with this specific enterprise location. One of the workers "John" is very rude and gives off a demeanor that he does not care and that he's in charge if you go on your trip or not.Long story short. I reserved a pick up truck to travel. I called to confirm my pick up and arrival time to pick up the truck. John asked me to hold on and he is checking on my reservation. I sat on hold for about 30 minutes waiting for him "to check on my reservation" John finally came around to pick up the phone and just said hello and hung up on me. During the pick up time I was told that they gave the vehicle I reserved away to another customer this is why they kept me on hold and did not confirm my reservation and in addition that they locked the door where I could not work out another reservation. I eventually just went to Avis/Budget to rent another vehicle without the hassle of "John"and enterprise. I would stay away from this enterprise location. Note to Enterprise as a business get rid of the worker "John" at this location. He's bad for your business. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have called the local office on 10th and written emails to the disability section of enterprise with no response and I am met with no answer to the call, "we are understaffed" or "we are to busy" When we call. We are having our truck repaired and we needed a rental car. We went through our insurance company. When the car got to the repair shop, my husband tried to get into the vehicle delivered and when he did he could not see out the front window as he is tall and has mobility issues. We explained to the gal that dropped our car off that he has mobility issues and we would need a full size car or suv/truck. She said they were out of cars and understaffed so they couldn't get us another car. She said she could have our car switched out the next day when a large vehicle was returned. We explained that it would have to be delivered as my husband can not drive the car. She said she understood. We did go to another enterprise to see if we could switch out the vehicle and they did not have a vehicle. We have had this rental (the one my husband can't drive) for a week tomorrow and we are stuck. We missed our grandsons graduation due to him not being able to drive the car. We have called each day and our insurance company has called and Enterprise said they are to under staffed to help us get an exchange on the vehicle. Also, we were told they would get back to us last Friday and we have not heard from them to date. We do not know anyone here and we can not drive the car we have. Here was an opportunity for enterprise to show their good customer service and they failed. Be aware, if you have a disability or a special need, do not count on enterprise to accommodate your needs. I picked up a rental at Joe Hudson Collision on 18th St. 2/19. I returned the car 2/23. All driving done locally. On March 1st, they helped themselves to $220.45 from my checking account for TOLLS that were done in the NY Metro area! I have a toll statement from them that's absolutely ludicrous. Rented a car two weeks ago and received an "upgrade" because they were about to close and didn't have the vehicle I ordered. the vehicle they gave me was terrible. The tires were low so I had to air them myself and the car started shaking if you went over 55 mph. Reserved a Nissan rogue, " or similar" on line. (Maricamp rd. Ocala,Fl.) I arrived to pick up the car, they not only did not have a rogue, they did not have any suv's . The manager suggested that I take a sedan, And exchange it for an suv, midway through my trip. (That makes sense). I decided that would be better than nothing and agreed to that. They brought me out a Toyota Corolla. That makes sense for a guy that's six foot six! I told them they could keep it and to cancel my reservation. Manager states: "No problem". I'm glad we didn't look at the reviews for this place before we rented or we might not have and we had nothing short of an awesome experience. After having a terrible experience at Budget, we needed to rent a car again and knew it wasn't going to be with them. Enterprise was a completely different experience and I would HIGHLY recommend them. They took the time to go over the vehicle with me, pointed out issues they were already aware of and the renting and returning process was absolutely seamless. ENTERPRISE: POOR SERVICE AND HEADACHES STAY AWAY! FALSE AND ILLEGAL BILLING My Father had an accident and obtained a car from this branch. While waiting for our family car to be repaired Autoowners and Enterprise secretly extended the rental via a private portal. Enterprise accepted the private agreement and time passed. After returning the car I asked the district manager Jason Shank if everything was squared away and he said yes everything was fine. Three months later a collections letter was sent attempting to collect hundreds of dollars on the private deal we knew nothing about. We are currently fighting these false charges. STAFF VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS SICK SENIORS The Manager Trae Floyd and the staff (Angela and Sean) were rude and verbally abusive when they called and harassed my 80 year old Father who is a retired minister (who has always treated everyone with respect and dignity while he laid sick in an ICU due to two brain surgeries related to a recent car accident. They offered no apologies and could care less about his status. He called me so upset I had to intervene and call and get the corporate office involved. I have never seen any rental car company act this way towards a senior customer. THEY HAVE NO PRIVACY POLICIES They have no privacy policies in place. If you value your privacy they will discuss and confirm all of your info including the terms of your rental which just is not safe. I called and was able to discuss the entire rental that was not mine by just providing a name of the individual, address, and phone number which was confirmed by the branch manager Trey. They never asked me to confirm who I was. When I spoke to the district manager Jason Shank he confirmed they had no privacy policy and that he often conducted business without confirming who was calling. When I shared this with the corporate enterprise office they thanked me and sent a letter saying they are always trying to figure out ways to get better with privacy. My conclusion is that It's just not worth it to do business with them. The poor customer service, lack of empathy and robotic business style where customers are just numbers is also reflected by emails and communication I personally had with the district manager Jason Shank. Here is my advice AVOID ALL ENTERPRISE BRANCHES. I also have receipts and documentation to back up every word I shared on this review. read more

Never ever going to use Enterprise again. Was charged an extra day plus at the return location (Ocala, 10th street), given no explanation as to why the extra charges and toldl to speak with the people I rented the car from in Texas. The two day rental began at 7 am on Friday, expired Sunday at 7 am. I returned the vehicle with full gas at 6 pm on Saturday. The Ocala location closed at 12 noon on Saturday. I was given instructions to drop the key in their lock box. Which I did. Ocala office submitted charges for the vehicle as returned on Monday at 9 am (when they opened). I phoned Texas office and was challenged for about 5 minutes by their rep. He kept saying he didn't understand. D0h. No more Enterprise for me. read more

I arranged a rental at this location because I have received very low quality service and vehicles at the location in The Villages. I reserved a full size pick up in advance to move a few larger items into our new home that we were scheduled to close on. The day before I'm scheduled to pick the truck up I get two calls to verify the rental details. I rented on points as I am a Platinum member and have Enterprise rentals through work for 46-50 weeks a year. They clearly had my information and would see that I am currently in a rental for my job commute and activities. Nothing was said to me about this being a problem until I go to pick up. They refused to rent because that location's policy is to not allow more than one rental for an individual. I've never encountered this and have had two rentals out at the same time (work car and one for personal weekend excursions) in Iowa, Virginia and locations in South Florida. I was told that I had to return my work rental before they would be able to pick up the truck. This isn't an option because I have to go through a third party to rent due to contractual agreements and insurances, which means I incur a fee every time they have to arrange a rental for me. Now it's move in day and I don't have a way to get the larger boxes moved unless I pay significantly more at a moving company. Very disappointing. After my current month is over with my work rental I will be requesting they book the next with a different company. read more

After reading countless reviews and conducting an exhaustive search to find the best deal on a rental car, two stood out. Hertz and Enterprise offered the best deals at similar rates,- We didn't have a preference at the time, so we opted to go with Enterprise. BIG MISTAKE. When we arrived to pick up the car, we were told that they'd have to check and see if they even had anything available -they did,but things only went downhill from there. It was truly the most horrific (&ridiculous) experience we'd EVER encountered w/ a rental car co., Between all of the additional fees they were assessing and the way in which we were treated by the unfriendly staff, we ended up walking out. We were so distraught by the whole ordeal, we actually contemplated canceling our family trip. Fortunate for us though, there was a Hertz right across the street.. I cannot stress this enough, as difficult as Enterprise had been to deal with, Hertz was the EXACT OPPOSITE. Their fees were reasonable and as expected.. And the staff was friendly and accommodating .. We were literally in and out in less than 10 minutes time. Our two week rental ultimately turned into a one month rental; and I have to say, that the branch manager Benjamin Merrit is an absolute gem. There was some mix up with my later reservation, it could have been my changing it, and there were no cars when I arrived, but they handled the problem well and Amber, the branch manager, had a car for me within 10 minutes. Horrible! To make a reservation, I got redirected to a separate agency...who confirmed that the Enterprise location had a car available for me. So then when I call back to get picked up, there are apparently no cars. And I am told they are giving cars out in the order they received reservations, but only 3-4 people ahead of me, and they will call me when one is available. I call back an hour later, and I'm told there are 5-6 people ahead of me to get cars. I never received a phone call from them (they are now closed), and obviously no car rental either. Terrible Enterprise location!!! Allstate made my reservation because the rental was due to a claim. Even though my policy pays for a rental car, when I called to confirm the reservation, I was told that I had to pay upfront and then get reimbursed by Allstate, as well as pay a deposit!!! This was incorrect since Allstate never asks for their customers to pay upfront....car rental is direct bill to Allstate. Called this Enterprise office 4 different times and was hung-up on 3 times before they even said hello!! Finally talked to Trey and he gave me the run-around and then finally said there were 2 reservations in their system....one said direct bill and the other one said customer pays. Told him to get rid of the one that said I had to pay and he said he couldn't do that. So, after 2 calls to Allstate, and after Allstate finally had to call Trey to straighten him out, my daughter is on her way to pick-up the car....hopefully, it will be correct. Terrible customer service at this location. But, it might be all the Enterprise locations because I just rented from Enterprise in Eustis, FL and had the car for a week and their customer service was terrible also. They rented a car to me that smelled so strongly of smoke that I had to have all my clothes dry cleaned and they did nothing about it....just said "sorry". Will never use Enterprise again and if I ever have another claim with Allstate, will try to get them to use another rental agency. We booked a rental on Hotwire through Enterprise and when we called to see if we could pick it up early, they said they had no cars available. We had our confirmation number and they said it didn't make a difference. They offered no resolution to try and help us. We called several locations on our on and went to a few with not one person expressing any sympathy. I called corporate twice with getting a voicemail once with no return call and the second time they said there was nothing they could do. They changed the reservation to another location where they had no cars as well. I will never use Enterprise or Hotwire again. Thanks for ruining our vacation. read more

Pros: Great about picking me up quickly when I arrived from out of town, friendly on the phone. By default (see below), upgraded me to a much nicer (and nearly new) car. Cons: perhaps this was my assumption that this branch would operate more like an airport rental counter than like an in town operation, but when I arrived (right at my reservation time), I was told that no cars were available. I had made this reservation a week before, I had called the previous day to confirm, and I had called again that morning to get picked up. I was keen to get a car and get moving, as I had a family member in the hospital. The manager, however, simply said that they were short on cars, and that we'd all have to wait, first come, first served, until cars came over from another branch. He explained that they'd had requests from local car dealerships that day, and that in filling those, they had run through their stock. This was very frustrating for someone with a reservation (and somewhere to be). The response of the staff was to be annoyed that I had complained, and to say "sorry, that's how this works." This has not ever been my experience with a rental car location, and I travel frequently; but perhaps this is their business model (relying more on guaranteed referrals locally and only using reservations from travelers to fill things in). I don't mind if that's their model, but it would be great to know that reservations are simply suggestions. In the end, after an hour, they gave me the car that they had been using as a shuttle vehicle -- mostly to get rid of me, I think :). And they didn't charge me for fuel, so I can't really complain too much, except to say that, if you're in a hurry, watch out! read more

I will never use this service again. They would not accept an alternative form of payment (my boyfriends card) then they wouldn't accept my dads card, so he tried to give them cash. They wouldn't accept that. I don't have enough cash in my account right now so I had to deposit money in my account for them to do the hold I recently opened my bank account so I have a temporary card. They wouldn't accept my temporary card then I had to activate my new card and they said they can't run the card for 24 hours for fraud purposes. All of this time took up five hours. It's after 6 I can't even rent a car from anywhere else. I'm stuck without a car. I have work tonight and I get off at 7am and I have a court appearance in the morning at 9 that I cannot make thanks a lot you have literally screwed me. This is the absolute worst Enterprise I have ever been to in my life. My first experience was a cargo van rental that I reserved online the day before. They seem to be very disorganized, as it took me an hour from the time I arrived to the time I left. It was extremely unnecessary. My second experience was even worse. I reserved a cargo van the day before for pickup early the next morning. They called about 30 minutes after my pickup time (I was a little late) saying they didn't have a cargo van and to go to another location, which they gave me the address to. I went to that location via Uber. When I arrived, they did not have my reservation, nor did they have cargo vans. I was supposed to be sent to the "Enterprise Trucking" location about 3 miles up the street. I hitched a ride with their driver. When I finally arrived at the trucking location, they (slowly) were able to find my reservation. After 1 hour & 45 minutes and an unnecessary $25 Uber trip, I got my cargo van. I am extremely disappointed in this location. They were nice but very disorganized. I will never use any of these Enterprise locations again!! read more
