I was mislead by this place and there call center, I'm so upset because there's a lot to type and the worst part of it all Was when I made my reservation through the phone and was told that a certain vehicle was located and available in Camarillo and I let them know if they were sure because "I'm coming all the way from Port Hueneme" and I let them know I was going to be upset if when I got there and the vehicle wasn't there. so I express that so much over the phone.... So my reservation time was 2:30 , I get there exactly at 2:30 I walk up to the door and the door is locked it says they close at 4:00 pm and there was a note with a return time on the door which said 3:20 at this point I'm upset because my reservation is at 2:30 I need to be somewhere at 2:30 and I get a hold of the manager Kevin. Well Kevin let me know that there should have been someone at the door "open" that they don't close until 4:00 PM he's not sure why they are closed so he has me wait on the line while he contacts the employee of the shift and he told me "she"was going to be there back in the store in 2 minutes. I called him at 2:54 and doesn't get there until 3:15. Come to think I was on the phone with Kevin for only six minutes and he told me she was going to be there in 2 minutes ... well she wasn't !! she was extremely rude, completely unprofessional disgusting attitude. And this girl with blue eyes blonde hair had the nerve to tell me that I got her in trouble with her manager and her manager said that she was out for an hour 45 minutes and I expressed to her I was waiting outside the door at 2:30 I have every right to be upset and the fact that you left knowing there was a reservation at 2:30 and then you guys close at 4:00. The fact that she would be back at 3:20 is completely unprofessional business, knowing your open until 4:00 pm !! She might as well have just closed at the time she left. Hi, I am Daniel, the employee that supposably should be fired. The woman, Nicole, who wrote that bad review about our store and myself lied about it. She failed to mention that she was rude and demanding the moment she walked in. She didnt even rent the car from the Camarillo location to start with. Then she arrives 20 minutes before closing and demands me to give her a ride with out any prior notice. I was the only employee at the store at this time when it occured. Unfortunately, I was unable to give her a ride, but I did offer to call her a cab. She was upset that I didn't give her a Wi-Fi password to call an Uber, but WE DON'T HAVE WI-FI. Meanwhile, she is screaming inside the office and telling me that I'm toast for leaving a woman and her two kids stranded, and that she's going to have every news crew on the scene. To top this all off, I called her a cab even after being treated disrespectfully, and what does she do, calls a different cab company to pick her up. So, why did she need a Wi-Fi password if she had access to a number for a cab already? After she cleared her belongings from the car, she deliberately left all the doors as well as the trunk and the hood of the vehicle open. I believe this is a woman that doesn't take any responsibility for her own actions, and chooses to pass-the-buck instead. If you take a look at all five of her reviews, you'll notice that they are bad. This alone should indicate the type of person she really is. Again, I am Daniel, the Avis employee. We had a bad experience, we reserved a small compact car, he said he only at a large SUV which was too big, the owner went on to wait on the next two customers. We told him we decided to take the large SUV, it was not available, he rented it out, the owner had 2 cars and 3 reservations. All 's he said was sorry. We were left stranded, with no car and our vacation plans ruined. We were from out of town and the owner could of cared less. Bad business practice! This has got to be the worst car rental experience of my life! The only employee there (John) that I dealt with has got to be the most incompetent person ever. He added services I never wanted, changed the order without my consent from what the online reservation was, and charged the wrong card when I returned the rental. To top it all off, when I brought this to his attention, he was all shoulders. He just gave the most dim witted "i can't do anything " response ever. Employee mistakes and the customer has to pay for it. I wish I could give a zero star rating! Definitely going to report them and their unethical business practices. read more

I rent or return cars here often for business. This location constantly overcharges me for either gas, or return date. As always you should look over your bill closely. At first I thought they were just incompetent, now I believe it might be intentional. The first is unfortunate, the latter is unacceptable. Its to bad because Alex seemed nice until I had a dispute. I have had my fair share of bad car rental experiences; however, every time I rent from the Avis in Camarillo I am pleasantly surprised. Rented a Chevy Cruze! It's worse than an economy; which they state as mid-size! They say that they will pick you up & take you home when you return the car. They DON'T; they say that they don't have a full staff. They seat didn't go back; so the trip was SUPER uncomfortable. They didn't discount the rental! My wife and I had planned a spontaneous trip to California and wanted to experience as much as we could over the weekend. In our plans we wanted to rent a convertible to drive up the PCH from Camarillo to San Francisco. I had called Budget rent a car on Saturday February 20th at 10:00 am in which I scheduled and confirmed a ford mustang convertible for a 10:00 am pickup on February 21st at the Camarillo location at 1727 East Daily Drive Ste E Camarillo, Paseo Camarillo, Camarillo, CA 93010. Upon arrive, I walked in the office asked if I could pick up my car and the attendant said, "We do not have your car or any other convertibles, please look outside to choose a car you would like." I stated that the only reason we are renting a car was we wanted a convertible to drive the coast with and asked if he would be able to get one within the next couple hours in which he said no. My wife and I went out back and saw that they had a Mazda 6, we went back in and asked if we could get a discounted rate on the Mazda 6. He said that we were not able to get a discount and when I asked why not he said they had plenty other customers that day which would pay full price for the car. 1. I was promised a non-existent vehicle giving me the faith that I did not have to continue my search for a vehicle. 2. When I arrived they had no desire to try and resolve the issue by finding a car, did not take responsibility for the mistake and blamed it on corporate. 3. When I had to ask for a discount, I was turned down stating other potential customers business was more important than mine. My wife and I walked out of the office and took our business elsewhere. read more

The gentleman who manages this location is the best! Alex is always courteous, professional and smiling. As a frequent renter, I have never had an issue with him or with any car provided. The automobile is always spotless, the gas tank is always full, and the car is always ready on time. Working with Alex is a pleasure, he is one of the hardest working people I know and I'd recommend his car rental agency to all of my closest friends and family. Beware. This was absolutely the most horrible experience I have ever had with any company. I was charged twice over $400 for a car rental. I went to this location to get it straightened out and the employee named Alex called the customer service line and got a case going. I was told that I would have a refund in 3 days. I have called the customer service line with my case number 4 times now and keep getting told something different. It's been 24 days since this has started and now I've was told it will be another 7 days. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told NO. I called Alex back and started to tell him what was going on. He immediately explained that he had already fixed it. When I started to tell him that he did not fix it and it was still an unresolved issue he turned into a complete ass hole telling me that he didn't appreciate me calling him with a problem that HIS mistake caused. He completely washed his hands of it. I understand that things happen. But when a company refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes it makes me very angry. I am a patient guy but these people make you feel like it is your fault that they screwed up. Nothing but a bunch of thieves! IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
