Well I don't know how to start this off but I'll do my best ! To start with i find out my car I rented does not come with a spare tire, I drive a total of 4 hours a day to and from work, now if i should have a flat on my way to work or home I'm SOL no spare? I talk to someone at Enterprise and they informed me some of their cars come with a spare and some of them don't ! Now of course they don't inform me of this before I rent .. I'm 67 years old man the last thing I should have to worry about is, do I have a safe form of transportation to get me to and from work everyday. Oh when I asked about getting a spare tire for this vehicle he informed me I can call triple AAA to come and fix the tire how kind of him to offer a solution!! For those of you that don't know if your tire blow out on the side wall of the tire they classify this as non repairable tire they cannot and will not fix it !!oh triple AAA does not carry spare tires sooo we're at square one I have no spare tire to replace the blown out one. Of the highway I drive to and from work everyday there's a bare minimum of 30 to 45 minute wait time for triple AAA to show up for help that's if it just simple nail hole in the tread of the tire and at my age and in this heat I've been put in a bad situation when all I wanted was a safe form of transportation to and from work everyday!!! On a side note the car is fantastic no issues this whole thing is evolving around no spare tire and customer service solution to this problem, use this experience I'm going through to help you on your next rental!! read more

Rented a vehicle for the weekend. Realized while on the road that the vehicle didn't seem to have been cleaned properly on the inside (noticed a white spot on the back of the driver's seat while on the road; a spot that easily came off with a clorox wipe that I had on hand). It gets worse. After stopping at a rest stop, the vehicle wouldn't crank. Had to call Enterprise roadside service and was informed that we'd have to wait AT LEAST an hour and a half (in the heat and at a rest stop that only had cement benches available). More frustrating is that the person we spoke to had the audacity to tell us that we would have to pay a fee once the tow truck arrived! Unbelievable! We even tried calling AAA to see if they would be able to get to us first but seems it would have taken about the same amount of time. Note, in contacting the office in which we rented the vehicle, we did receive an apology and was informed that no fee would have to be paid. Fortunately, a good Samaritan came along who was able to give us a jump. We figured once we got to our destination, we get another jump or wait on a tow truck and simply trade the vehicle out at another Enterprise location. That plan didn't work because only small/compact vehicles were available, which we didn't want. In trying to contact other rental places, there weren't any vehicles available at all. We then decided that we'd just take the car to an auto repair shop to get a new battery. In calling Enterprise to let them know of our intentions, we were informed that we could take the vehicle to a nearby Tires Plus and the report would go on their account. Well, this worked out and we got the vehicle back within 2 hours and didn't have any other problems. At the end of the day, Enterprise did make this right for us and for that we were appreciative (i.e. the rating given). Not sure yet if we will go back to Enterprise anytime soon though; the whole experience was a bit traumatic and threw a wrench in our weekend plans. read more

Rented a vehicle for an out of town and return trip fro Enterprise on Mahan Dr in Tallahassee. Confirmed the Reservation OnLine prior to the departure day. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted and taken to my vehicle within a few minutes. The vehicle was clean, gassed up and ready for departure. Upon returning the Vehicle four days later, I was greeted with a Beautiful Smile and a Warm "How can I help You Today" from Ms. Marissa. She most definently made my turn in process very smooth. I look forward to utilizing the Mahan Location for all my Rental needs due to Employees like Ms. Marissa. read more

Worst car rental experience ever. I had a reservation at the Tallahassee airport today, December 13. After waiting in the preferred line for 20 min I was told they were not taking people from that line because they don't have any cars. It didn't matter that I already had a reservation. Similar bad experiences when I rented cars in Chicago and Atlanta. I hate renting from Avis and will avoid it at all costs in the future. Do they not care at all about customer service? I have asked my company to remove Avis from our benefits program because it is completely unreliable. read more

The car was okay and got me where I was going but it had not been washed very well even though I made the reservation a week in advance and called the day before and 2 hours before picking it up. The windshield was smeared on the inside with something that would not easily wipe off. I had a similar experience here in the past and only used them again because it's the most convenient location. read more

Twice I've made reservations to pick up a specific class of vehicle and I arrive and they don't have it. Not even close. If I could give the Tallahassee Enterprise located at 1485 Blountstown Highway ZERO STARS I WOULD. I booked a car at this location for 5:00 pm last week, however when I arrived at 5:04 pm the Enterprise employee walked up to the door as I was entering and told me they were CLOSED. I explained to her that my appointment to pick the car up was for this time however, she REPEATED they were CLOSED. There were other customers both inside and outside of the building at the time, with MULTIPLE employees inside standing at the counter. As she began to lock the door in my face, she let 2 other customers who were standing outside when I arrived, inside the building. The most troubling thing was, BEFORE SHE LOCKED THE DOOR IN MY FACE, she turned around and asked a MANAGER what she should do and the MANAGER TOLD HER basically not to let me in. Needless to say, I was left STRANDED, WITHOUT A CAR even though I had a VALID RESERVATION, just before the Christmas holiday!!! read more

I am happy to say this Enterprise has come a long way since I previously lived here over a decade ago. Back then I was charged an exorbitant fee for a small ding in the back of the rental not caused by me. To date, they have gotten better about observing their cars' condition and marking it so customers aren't charged erroneous fees. The staff is friendly, efficient, and down to Earth. The only negative now is if you need to park your car, you have to park down the road at the Walmart as their entire lot is used for rentals only. read more

They make you walk around the car and sign off on every scratch and ding you can find - and hope you don't miss something! I have rented with both Enterprise and National several times before, and each time the customer service is outstanding! I have to give a special shout out to the guys over at Enterprise. Even though my initial reservation was with National at the airport they swapped out two vehicles when each of them had an issue that was nothing they could have anticipated. The customer service is outstanding and even though the location always seems to be busy they go out of their way to make each guest feel great. My last experience with this location was great. Hasn't always been the case, but I understand the challenge this type of business faces. When getting a vehicle this time, I had them pick me up at home and they were there exactly when I requested. Not only that, they picked me up with the rental I was going to be using and brought their handheld iPad thingy, and I was able to do my complete check in while sitting in my driveway. This is the worst enterprise rental location I have ever been to. My car had to be switched out twice and both cars were filthy. The first one had damage to the bottom of car which could have caused a serious accident on the highway with my trip down south. I had to point it out to the rep before I took the keys. All of their cars have external damage. I had to go vacuum out car myself immediately but it was so filthy with stains that I called customer service and they advised me to take car to airport and pick up another car there. Extremely unprofessional employees. The only person in the building with a brain is a man named Thomas, if he is not there you don't wont to rent a car. I had 2 other employees, one a man tried to accuse me of smoking in the car when he was holding sand grains calling them ash. The other, a female employee closed the door in my face deliberately (my wife inside) as I was walking in to finish paying. When asked for her name she said no, rent from any other place unless Thomas is there he won't let them screw you. And make sure you take your own photos of the vehicle before you leave in front of them or get the collision insurance. read more

Remember that Enterprise does NOT accept debit cards as payment; only credit cards. They do not tell you this anywhere on the website or in advance. Enterprise has ruined two vacations for us; we reserved a care but when we came to get it we were told that we must have a credit card. I do not use credit cards and they would not accept our debit card. As a result, I had to rent from another company, but without an advance reservation, which means we had to pay a LOT more. Plus, the Enterprise employees in Tallahassee are rude and poorly trained. Do NOT use Enterprise if you intend to pay with a debit card -- ruined two of my vacations so far. read more

Was told there would be a car and when I got there they told me to come back in three more days. I had to drive all the way over there to find this out as the employees would not answer the phone. I told them that I wasn't leaving that they told me that there would be a car so they did finally get me into a car. The employees are unprofessional, don't answer the phones, one had a do-rag on his head, one had a ski cap and their caps looked nasty, one girl wore stiletto heels with the tips off so they made a lot of noise, one guy had a nice sport jacket but then when he came behind the counter he had denim leggings with this outfit it was just a freak show. You have to look at the CEO of this company to see how things can get out of control and unprofessional. They need to do some serious training and customer service training. My experience has always been with Enterprise is they try to send you out with their vehicle on an empty tank of gas. Each visit only gets worse. read more

NEVER AGAIN. 1) This is the third time I rented from Enterprise and got a car with less than a full tank of gas. They said it was fine to return it with the 1/4 tank I was given. Who can do that?? Not only was it a pain to have to fill it myself before the long drive, but my estimate of how many gallons to put in resulted in my giving them 2-3 free gallons of gas!! 2) Generally sullen and mute staff. Beware! This particular Enterprise location will falsely attempt to charge vehicles damages on you to keep deposits without cause. Be sure to record the vehicle rental both before and after vehicle drop off to cover yourself. In addition to price inflation and false charges the staff is extremely unprofessional. I experienced rude and immature employees who lack respect of the customers time. Time is not of the essence at this location, so be prepared to wait to later be told the location is sold out of vehicles. Using this location for a rental should be your very last resort. read more

Horrible experience, upon renting a car and returning the car. The lack of organization was unbelievable. This location needs to work on a better system. Every one there seemed nonchalant to the fact that there was a huge hold up. They need to invest in kiosks to track who is coming in and the order they arrive. Also, should have a return area and a renting area. They need to do a better job training employees so they are not confused when there are a lot of people in line, that is where a lot of the hold up is. ALSO, MAKE RESERVATION SCHEDULE! If I come at 3pm and need to leave at 3:30, I should not be waiting until 4:30 if there was a schedule. read more

I was really looking forward to renting a luxury car for a particular trip I had to take and give my not-so-luxurious car a rest. All I really wanted was a car that drove smooth and had Sirius radio, which I do not own. I reserved ahead of time and asked to be picked up at 10:30 and was told the desk work was super fast and I could be out the door at my planned 11am go. I was picked up close to 15 min. late by a driver that made no attempt to welcome me in the car or even make small talk but instead a silent drive. Awkward. I was given a very peppy and warm welcome which is the ONLY reason this is a two star instead of a one. However, after the smoke cleared I wound up being on the lot over and hour before I was given a more expensive car for the original price of a four door sedan to have something to drive and get on the road. One car was available, no Sirius; one car was a sedan with Sirius but smelled like smoke and lemon cleaner. One we managed to discover had a broken cruise control, etc.... I only went with Enterprise as opposed to its local competitor for the reason that they will retrieve you from your home and drop you back off. The helpful desk agent gave me his cell phone should I run in to any problems en route to my five hour destination. I appreciated that. I DID wind up calling because 25 minutes in to my drive the REPLACE OIL light came on the dashboard and stayed there. I did not know 1) how imminent this warning was 2) how to remove it so I could see my mph ....when NO one answered the front desk after several attempts to get someone on the line I called their roadside assistant and the gentleman's cell....anyone tell me how to get this warning off and how to set cruise control which was a nightmare to figure out with someone on the phone and not looking at the wheel full of buttons and signals. Upon my return I wanted to call the shop and give a heads up that I'd need a ride home once I returned the keys but again, no one answered the phones and I held several times trying to reach ANYONE. I called the gentleman's cell, yet again, to assure me that people would be there to greet me at my 6pm arrival. I entered the shop and was told I had just made it (a giant group of employees sitting in the back of teh shop...NO oNE answered the phones??) and when I asked for a ride home was met with a sigh. Uhg. Let's hope I get the $200 refund they hold on to when you get the keys. They say it takes 24-48 hours to get back. Go somewhere else. read more

I have been renting from this Enterprise for about 10 years. Service at first was incredible. Personal and perfect. Then, in early 2014 things went downhill. I became the unhappy regular customer who still hung on hoping things would change. I am delighted to report THIS LOCATION IS NOW TERRIFIC again! I've rented from this location several times. Sometimes I get a car right away and others I have waited and waited while others who came in after me get their car and are gone in less than 10 mins. This last time I was clearly given a car that someone had smoked in. It was disgusting. This location is close to my home and the older gentleman who picks me up is a delight. Keep him!! read more

I reserved the car online on Monday, confirmed verbally by phone on Wednesday for a car and to be picked up on Friday morning of the same week. During the Wednesday call I was told that because I had not noted the need for me to be picked up, they could not change the reservation in the system and to call Friday morning for the pickup as it would not take more than 30 minutes to come get me. I called at 9:00 an was told there were five people ahead of me to be picked up but they would be there in less than an hour. I was flexible on my departure time from the city so that was fine. Two hours later I called and asked what happened - it is now 11:00 and no one is here yet - I need to get on the road. They said they had a power outage (transformer blew), and lost all their reservations and pick up info. I was four miles away and there was no storms or power problems in the city that I was aware of, but hey, I guess it could happen. In any case, had I not called back I'd still be waiting. The bottom line was it took 2.5 hours to get picked up and 3.5 hours before I was actually able to get on the road. If I had a flight or appointment that day I never would have made it. Next time I will get a cab and go to the airport where I know I will get a car and go soon after my arrival there. read more

Employees were very nice once I got there, but really!? Two days later, called to rent a car (under contract with State I work for) and was told no cars are available. What? Terrible, terrible. I went online months before a conference and specifically asked for a 4 door Intermediate. I showed up on time and the only car they had was a two door Veloster with a hatchback, which they call an Intermediate. Since we were hauling boxes and luggage to a conference, that was truly unacceptable and key to my preplanning of the reservation. The only other car on the lot was a 4 door full size, a Ford Fusion, I believe, which Avis calls an Intermediate. They were happy to charge me an upgrade fee to get the 4 doors I asked for in the first place. The customer service rep did reduce the fee by $5.00 to try to mitigate the poor service. The customer service rep' solution to the problem was that I could wait to see what other cars came in. REALLY?? Upon arriving at the conference, others from Tallahassee had also rented at Enterprise and had equally bad experiences. None of us will ever use Enterprise again and will openly share our experiences. On my previous rental the battery was dead in the key fob and I couldn't get the car started after the first stop. And, did I mention that the Veloster had just been brought in and the driver said it had a vibration. They did not check it out and rerented it immediately to the next customer since they had NO other cars available. I have rented from Enterprise at this same Tallahassee location on HWY 90 over the years. Clearly there has been a serious decline in training, policy and procedures, and customer service. read more

I pull up and there are three guys standing around the front desk. I walk in the door and they disappear. I'm the only customer. A few minutes later, a young woman comes to the counter to assist me. As she's about to walk out to get my car, the branch manager asks her to locate keys to a truck. She's on the phone for about ten minutes. When the young lady starts again to get my car, she's called back. And finally, the branch manger allows her to get my car from the lot. Customer service was definitely not a priority. Managers need to let staff do their job, and manage resources. read more

This is our 2nd or 3rd experience with Enterprise. The cars are great IF they have one available. Seems to me when you have a "confirmed" reservation --you ought to be able to get a car. This is the 2nd time we've made a reservation several weeks in advance, but when we get there they don't have a car available. To their credit, someone called us a few hours before we were due to pick up the car to tell us they "might" have a problem. When we arrived, they said we could either wait for 5 more hours to see if the car we ordered was available or not --OR--we could pay more for an upgrade. Since we needed a car for our trip and didn't want to take the chance on NOT getting one, we opted to pay extra for the upgrade. This did not make me a happy camper. The staff was nice and the car was clean and comfortable. Wish they would get this availability issue dealt with! read more

A car wasn't available for me so they gave me an upgraded car so that I could be on my way which was good. The car on the outside was in good condition but along the way for my trip we had several lights come on in the car were concerning ( check engine light, oil light, and one more light I didnt know what it meant). So it made my drive back uneasy as I didn't want to break down. There was no compensation for that. But other than that the customer service was great just the cars were not. read more
