I hired Alex and his crew to hang and finish drywall as part of a kitchen remodel. Alex replied promptly and showed up for the estimate when he said he would. He took detailed measurements and quickly worked up an estimate for me, which was competitive with two other bids I received. I got the quote more than a month before I need him to start the work, so I was a little nervous at the time about him keeping to the agreed-upon start date. I should not have been. Alex was there with his guys just when I needed him - he actually dropped off drywall a few days early to make sure he completed the work on time. The quality of the work was excellent. Through the whole process I most appreciate his prompt communication and willingness to go the extra mile to keep my project on schedule. Hired them for painting living room. Alex the painter always says you will love my job, pay me after you verify. We got the living room quote + bathroom and touch ups for $4300. He worsened the touch up the previous owner had and introduced a patch instead of a small spot and spoiled multiple places I am a bit detail oriented and I did not like many of his finishes. Alex always had an excuse for everything. When I nagged him about imperfect finishes, he said with him he said "Is this about the money? Don't pay me, keep your money use it to hire another painter" which I found insulting. The only good thing is mid job we asked him to change the paint of the ceiling to white, he increased the quote to $5700 but at least agreed to it. Also fixed one wall where he messed up the touch up. Overall 2 stars because he at least finished the job and agreed to our terms but deducting the other stars because he required immense supervision which took a toll on my mental health for 2 days. P.S His guys smoked and littered our lawn with cigarette butts. Hire them if you want a quick and cheap job and if you don't want to pay attention to detail read more

They did a good assessment of the job, let me know the quotes regarding the different options (paint whole walls, or patching the spots) and provided a good service. They were upfront regarding the fact that the patching the paint might not match 100% with the rest of the wall and asked me to do the paint color matching myself to avoid any issues down the road. Started well but unfortunately didn't end well. One day after finishing my kitchen ceiling it spilt and lumps of plaster could be seen on ceiling. Took them 3 weeks to come back and fix and another 2 weeks to paint it. Won't use them again. Two stars because at least they put the mistake right. read more
