Hidden gem! This place is so tucked away in the plaza that I'd driven past it multiple times and never noticed it. Found it through Yelp and I'm glad I did. The space inside is surprisingly large and welcoming. I tried the chorizo burrito, a cortado, and a drip coffee. The drip was solid but not mind-blowing. What stood out was that they roast their own beans right there in the shop, and the cortado came with beautiful latte art. Worth seeking out if you're in the area. read more

This place served up the absolute best chai tea latte I have ever had. It had a hint of ginger and oatmilk that was delicious. I also added a tad bit of their bourbon sweetener! I almost lapped it up like a puppy! There is outdoor covered seating, but it was raining this day and all the seats inside were just about full. The seating is cozy but the comfy looking couches were full so I had to settle for a table top. The pastry display was empty at 10 am but I was told there were bagels and breakfast sandwiches available. I had a bagel with fermented jalapeno cream cheese. It was outstanding also! There is music that plays over the loud speaker that isnt too loud, where you can make a phone call and it not be too distracting. In the back there is a small conference room for rent by the hour and students can receive a 25% discount. Love this place and whenever Im working in Denton, this is where I will be. I walked 30 minutes just to come try this place out and I'm so happy I did! It was worth the extra time out of my day. The atmosphere is so cool and fun with gorgeous wooden tables and features as well as a disco ball! I had a hot latte w almond milk and got a cold brew for the next day. Both were so great. Got there at 4pm behind a car in the drive through- car in front of us drove off- so we progressed to the ordering microphone. No response after multiple attempts to get somebody's attention. We went through the drive thru to try this place for the first time. The woman in the window was slurring her words or the speaker didn't work that well. Either way we got two drinks (a black coffee and a latte) and one turkey and cheese sandwich. We ended up waiting for our order (the only car in the drive way( for over 10 minutes) and we never saw a person at the window or was spoken to at all until 10 minutes later. Also the drive through window is so high up it was above our car roof. She never told us the order total until 10 minutes after when she handed us our drinks and it was 18 dollars !!! Super expensive. The coffee is like any other coffee place but I don't even know if I got what I ordered because she never read the order back to me or had any details of what she was handing us. Came here around 9am on a Monday and it was pretty empty. The interior of this place is awesome, and there are so many cozy places to sit and work. This is the type of coffee shop you could sit in all day. They had a few pastries, and the coffee menu is fairly small. Service was ok. I'd come back if I were in the area! read more

I'm on a mission to try almost all the coffee shops in Denton! First place is Avoca- I would say this place is good overall - Customer service was okay- people were nice but not as welcoming and friendly like other places I've been to. - Ambiance is nice- clean and a little plain - Busy- Place got super packed even during a weekday which is so unexpected - Seating- Lots of tables and seats available. Although I didn't get to sit in the front of shop where I originally wanted, they have an amazing back space which has a window looking in so I felt like I was a part of the mix but I had more peace and quiet as well which was awesome - Coffee taste- Above average for sure- it is pretty consistent quality as the other Avoca location in Ft Worth stockyards. The latte I got wasn't my absolute favorite just because of preference but it was still tasty and I finished it after adding honey myself. - Amenities- Bathroom not the cleanest but not the worst I've seen. The toilet paper needs to be in the dispenser because it's so gross when other people touch all of the roll and put it back on the trash can. Wi-Fi is pretty solid and good for work I'd say. - Conclusion: I would definitely come back it's a great place to get work done I saw people have meetings too. You can apparently book the meeting room for an hour for free if you email in advance. read more

I visited this Denton cafe for the first time today and it is one of my new favorites in the city! It's located close to UNT campus and is a great spot to study after class (FREE WIFI). With plenty of parking, the atmosphere is bright, "planty", and it incorporates lots of light wooden designs which makes it very aesthetic! I came on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty packed inside but I was able to find an open seat. The barista was super friendly and she got my order out in less than 2 minutes. I ordered an Everything Bagel Dog heated up & it tasted as expected. For the price (~$2.20) I am happy with my purchase & can't wait to try the drinks here when I come back! Overall, great spot for getting work done or chatting with friends - they do close at 7pm though (6pm on Sunday's) so beware of the time if you plan on staying late. read more

This is a wonderful addition to the coffee shops in Denton. We have more than enough coffee shops that sells coffee with tons of sugar, this coffee shop also has good pour over and of course drip coffee as well as the coffee drink you expect to see at any location like espresso etc. I tried the misty valley brewed with a chemex which I really liked. These beans has a good fruity flavor which I think is a perfect fit for a pour over. I also tried the Lemon Blueberry Poundcake which also very good. They have a drive thru and good seating both indoor and a patio. It's a brand new building, everything looks fresh and new. They also have free WiFi. I will be coming back soon for sure! read more

First time at this location mid-day on a rainy Thursday. The interior is clean, bright, and it feels like a comfortable 73 degrees in the store. The furniture and area rugs keep it from being too noisy. There are lots of tables nooks, booths and couches to sit and talk or get work done and the place is only about half full. Gentle background music fast Wi-Fi (318Mbps download/16Mbps upload), and staff is polite. My latte was made fast and was at the level you expect from a really good coffee shop. The most prominent artwork on the middle wall is a 4'x6' turfgrass portrait with cartoon picture of a buck-naked man's back side in the center who looks like he's working on a Chipotle burrito. I'd avoid bringing my young children here if that's typical. Art could be fun if done tastefully. read more

Coffee is good (espresso) although some options are limited in order for the shop to preserve the integrity of the coffee. ( their exact words) Comes across wrong to me. There are plenty of chairs and tables, along with some sofas at one end. The offerings are decent basically standard fare for a coffee shop. To me nothing screams "hey look at me", however it is comfortable and clean with attentive staff.
