I have zero regrets signing up for this teacher training. Listing down the reasons why anyone should choose the Awakened Warrior YTT: 1. Michael will be the perfect fit as your mentor. He is excellent in communication and will always follow through with what he says. He is a busy man but always has the time to be present and make sure his students get the best out of the training experience. He has built a loving community through yoga and builds genuine connections to people around him. If you're looking into bringing yoga forward in your life, Michael will be there to guide you even after the training course. 2. Very intimate. Michael and his team were able to guide to each one of us attentively because we were a small group. We were able to ask questions according to what we wanted to know and what we needed to improve on. If we were a massive group, I wouldn't have grown as much as I did. More importantly, I've developed a bond with not only my "yoga sister circle", but also to Michael's team and past students. I feel very safe and secure with them, and as mentioned, they're there to guide and support me in my exciting yoga journey. And although Michael is our teacher, we're able to learn from each other as well. 3. The course material and content. Yoga is more than a physical exercise and the Awakened Warrior YTT proved just that. There is an element of the physical, mental, and spiritual. I've gained more clarity in my mind, I'm more grounded with the earth, and I'm more in tune with everything around me. In other words, I'm more present and I have this YTT to thank for because it got me to develop my own spiritual practices, other than the yoga physical practice. I recently had the honor to complete my 2-week intensive 200-hour training with Michael. I had the absolute time of my life. I could not have imagined a better experience for my training. Over the 2 weeks, I became stronger and more confident in my asana practice, and also felt a spiritual shift as I came to know my true Self better. Coming out of this training, I feel confident to step out and teach others this beautiful craft. This is thanks to Michael's amazing mentorship. Not only is Michael incredibly knowledgeable, but he is truly a kind, genuine spirit who values his students. I was welcomed into his yoga community with open arms; I felt I had a place and a voice that was respected and heard. I am beyond grateful to have chosen Awakened Warrior Teacher Training to complete my 200 hour yoga teacher certification and I'm not sure my words will be enough to articulate the impact this training has had and will have on my life for the rest of my life. Not only do you learn the physical side of yoga (asana) very proficiently and extremely well, but you also are taught about ALL aspects of yoga on the spiritual and lifestyle side. Their 200 hr training course is incredible. Over 6 weekends you learn the material and dive deeper into your own yoga practice. By the second week I had turned to my fellow trainee and said "I am absolutely doing the 300 hr" and I am now about to finish that one up as well! AWTT was one of the best decisions of my life. In addition to the physical challenges, Michael has structured the training with spiritual elements which help you break through emotional and mental barriers while earning a deeper appreciation for yoga as a lifestyle. This is our favorite West Coast location because it's the only Crunch Fitness location with a separate Yoga studio within it. The studio is kept very clean and has all of the props needed (blankets, bolsters, blocks & straps). There is plenty of parking and when it's hot out we sit by the pool for lunch or lectures and occasionally go for a swim. The management and staff are super friendly and the restroom/locker-room has showers and even a sauna. And a major plus is the childcare. Oh and the hydromassage chairs! lol read more
