After reading a couple of my fellow Yelpers reviews, I wanted to give this place a try for myself. Being a man it's okay to spend a day to just pamper yourself. This was a very clean establishment when I say clean I mean very clean not a spec of dirt to be found. When you first walk in you do have to wear a mask and be sure to check in. They are following COVID protocol very strictly which honestly I can appreciate before going to our pedicure station we had to make sure to wash our hands before sitting down which was fine by me. Everything inside the establishment was fairly new and gorgeous from the ceiling to way the decor was in place, to the room and space, the pedicure chairs which are so comfortable, to the bowls that you relax your feet hands down one of the best spots I've been to. The pedicure I received was the Jelly spa pedicure which was honestly pretty cool, they put this jelly powder into the water and it turned actually into a very thick jel they rubbed over your legs and feet I truly enjoyed myself such a relaxing moment. I can't remember the lady who did my pedicure but when I say she took her time and did a fantastic job she did a lovely job. Some people tend to rush through because I'm a guy they don't seem to think we pay attention to details as a women would, but this lady regardless man or woman she took her time from start to finish. She was honestly very nice she didn't rush she was communicating to ask how our day was going I could really appreciate that. I would suggest anyone to try this place def worth the time. read more

I got a terrible infection in the nail bed of my big toe that will take me weeks to heal from, I'm not sure if the tools the used were not cleaned properly or if the foot tub wasn't disinfected after use. I'm very disappointed and will forever have anxiety about getting another pedicure which is something I use to do every two weeks. read more

Awesome Nails is an awesome place. My new go to place for my nails. Excellent service, extremely friendly and so many colors to select from. If you like to have your nails dipped this is the place to go. The color selection is like no other and their technique is really amazing. Best massage chairs and they take their time and make sure your nails are perfect. So much better than most nail salons in the area. The nail salon was clean and professional however the service wasn't the greatest...They soaked my feet in just warm water and didn't scrub enough to remove all dead skin. After the service I had to request oil because my feet were dry. My service was rushed and not thoroughly done for what they charged. read more

* Caution- long rant* Shame on this man and his RUDE wife. I booked with Nancy, per a recommendation from my beautician. I booked yesterday and came in today and he tried to put me with someone other than Nancy. I politely explained the lady he was trying to put me with is not Nancy, he showed me Nancy yesterday, we had at least a ten minute conversation about booking with her and that is who I came for. He also stated that they had a party of ten coming in so she would be busy for a while. What I did not tell him is that I was told no one else is as good as her in the salon. He then told me how careful he always is at booking and he could not have missed that. He preceded to call his wife over and tell her that I wanted her to do my nails, instead of the random lady he was putting me with. How insulting to that other lady. He explained to her what was happening and she said (in a VERY RUDE tone), "Oh no, I was listening yesterday. You did not say Nancy". I said he showed me Nancy yesterday- HOW ELSE WOULD I KNOW THE LADY HE WAS PUTTING ME WITH TODAY WAS NOT NANCY? At this point I told her that since she is calling me a liar, I'm leaving. Also, she was doing someone else's nails yesterday because I saw her. She must have good hearing because she sits quite a ways from the cash register. I know that people make mistakes and she was covering for her husband, but this was beyond RUDE to tell me I didn't book with someone that I know good and well that I booked with. read more

First off, I'm SO picky with nail salons. I am constantly hopping around to find the best in the area. I was very pleased with my pedicure experience today! My usual experience with pedicures is that the techs rush but I felt there was a good amount of time spent on my pedicure. It was probably about 45 minutes. The place was VERY clean and aesthetically pleasing. The techs were also friendly and kind. I will go again! read more

This place is overpriced and they try to tack on unnecessary charges. $51 for dip + $10 for a manicure and another $5 for the Gel top coat? I've been getting my nails done for YEARS and have never paid close to $66 for this service. The guy also cut me and I was there for 2 hours. Would not recommend. read more

I stopped by this salon because my usual salon was busy and I needed a mani asap. Sonny did my gel mani and did a great job! The polish I had on was super hard to get off and he took the extra time with soaking and filing to not damage my nails. We chatted the whole time and he was super friendly! I scheduled with my regular person but when I got there for my manicure, I was given someone else. She could not get the shape of my nails correct, they were all either uneven or crooked. I finally told her that I would come back tomorrow when my regular person was there. She kept saying "no" and they wanted to charge me! At this point she had only done the acrylic. I had no polish and my nails were not smoother yet. After a 10 minutes argument (mainly her being mad at me), they let me leave. I tried to call the next day to come back for my regular person but they wouldn't answer my calls. I finally called from my fiancé's phone and they answered, but after I told them my name, the call "dropped". Twice. So not professional. They don't know how to deal with unhappy guests. Instead of making it right, they ruin the entire thing. I had been going here for months and was so please update until this point! read more

My regular nail lady couldn't get me in due to my work schedule so I decided to come here because it had good reviews. I don't know enough about nails but I asked for a fill for my acrylic gel nails... while the lady was doing my nails she kept telling me "be careful.. they could easily break" im thinking.. okay but why? I was due for a whole new set. but she didn't tell me that. So like she said, my thumb nail broke the first day and I wasn't even doing anything harsh to make it break. I went back so they could fix it and they even charged me $3 to get it fixed! The very next day my pointer finger then broke. Again, I was laying in bed doing nothing to make it break like that. I didn't even bother going back. I had a broken nail for a good week until I finally got in with my regular lady. I'm very disappointed. I paid $48 for that. Such a waste. read more

I called to make an appointment for my daughter and two friends for her birthday and was delighted they could get us in, given that it was less than a week's notice and they seemed, at first glance, to have good ratings. Once I got there, however, I understood why - they don't seem to actually pay attention to appointments. Nothing was ready for us when we got in, they didn't check our names against a log and didn't do it for the three other people who walked in saying they had an appointment while we waited. And yet one someone with no appointment came in asking if they'd have time to do a pedicure they said sure, maybe a 15 minute wait - when they already had three people sitting waiting for their appointments. The girls were led to chairs but just left to sit for quite some time. Several people were rushing around trying to keep track of who needed help. The finished product was ok, the decor is nice, the guy who was greeting everyone was very nice, but they seriously need to work on their scheduling. read more

I called in advance and asked the price of a kids polish. I was quoted $8. When I checked in, I told them we were there for a kids polish. I was then charged $30 for a full pedicure for my 5 year old. The person handling my pedicure pinched my skin while clipping my toenails. Needless to say we will never be back. This salon provides the very best service in Johnson County! Believe me, I have tried several salons! I have a very busy travel schedule and live outside of the Kansas City area. I regularly drive through the Olathe area on my way to the airport for business travel. I try to make my nail appointments ahead of time but that can't always happen, so I fit it in when I can. I really wanted to like this salon. It's new and really clean-however I had dip powder manicure and had to return days later because 6 of my nails had cracked and chipped. I've done dip for a year now and have never had any issues. When I returned they said it would be $36 because I waited 11 days to return. I'm busy and work so I didn't have time to have my nails completely redone. I was frustrated, but I had already made room in my hectic schedule to be there. When I finished my second dip the nail tech touched my nail to see if it was dry and messed up the-really thick-top coat. She left me there to dry for another 15 minutes. I had to leave since I'd already spent 90 minutes there. So here I am-with another smudged manicure and nearly $90 wasted. Don't waste your time or money, go somewhere a little older, with better techs. read more

I've been getting my nails done bi-weekly for over twenty years. Have been searching over five now for an all around good and consistent salon/tech. Amy did an acrylic full set on my nails and Nancy my pedicure. Hands down the best in Johnson County! No assembly line treatment whatsoever like many nail shops. They took their time and showed they appreciate business. Both were very gentle. No cut up or filed/injured and/or bleeding nails as I've experienced from a few techs and they listen and fulfill your request and not do what they want to do. They treat you as a paying customer. The salon is neat, clean, and beautiful. They even have cute pedi chairs for little girls! Very attentive and their customer service is SUPERB. They also have a wide selection and matching pairs of gel/regular polish. I love that Amy was educated on nail color and care off of any mention of a name. Amy polishes very neat. That's a pet peeve of mine that many don't care to put the time and quality into. The salon is a little pricier than some but worth the extra dollars. However, they offer a 4% discount if you pay with cash so I recommend bringing it to save a few dollars. I've tried several places and for years; none are like Amazing Nails. They live up to their name and so much more. Last but not the least, unlike many places, they push back and take the time to clean your cuticles and to massage your hands, feet, and legs. A true 'spa' experience! I give Amy/the nail salon 5 stars and a diamond crown! My hope is restored! read more
