I really liked the menu selection. You could get every roll you could think of. Even rice bowls, poke bowls, and sushi burritos. However, the quality is not quite there. Fish pieces are so small and rice is a little hard. The teriyaki rice bowl is pretty good. The serving size is generous and could feed both of my kids. The spicy tuna roll and cherry blossom were really good. But the shrimp tempura roll was very dry that I couldn't even finish it. I LOVE AWI! This is one of my go to sushi places close to school. The sushi rolls are delicious and I clean my plate every time I go. The food came out quick as well maybe 15 min. Good and service were good but it was so cold that we had to move outside. When I asked about this the cashier said that's why they all wear sweatshirts. I asked where the thermostat was and she indicated that it was in kitchen where I'm sure it's warmer with all the cooking and refrigerators. First off, plenty of parking and great location because there's so much other stuff around it. After lunch or dinner, you could swing by the Scheels to shop around or explore their games/activities. The service is fast and always wonderful. Their portions are very generous. The last two times we've gone, we've gotten the Sushi Lovers which is served with Miso Soup And House Salad. It includes Six Pieces Sushi (From Chef Selection), Two Choices Of Regular Rolls, One Special Roll Type 1, One Special Roll Type 2, One Special Roll Type 3--your choice!! It's honestly a fantastic deal. Between two people (and even three people sometimes), we always have leftovers. The house salad is good and plentiful. They don't skimp on anything. This is our go-to spot for sushi. Since we've been here several times, we've ordered a variety of rolls. The classic spicy tuna and spicy salmon you can't go wrong with. My two favorites are the Dragon Special and Rainbow rolls. The only thing I'd say is that sometimes they drench the rolls in a bit too much sauce, so if sauce isn't your thing, I'd speak up ahead of time and tell them to go lighter on the sauce. Lunch time during the week is pretty chill--not too crowded, and same with dinner time. They also have high chairs for your little ones! The first time we went, I asked for extra tofu in the miso soup because my baby LOVES tofu and they went above and beyond. They brought a small bowl of tofu just for her. This was hands down one of the worst lunch experiences I've had in Colorado Springs -- and that's saying something. The food was mediocre at best, but the customer service was flat-out embarrassing. When we first sat down on October 26th, our server (a male) took my drink order. I asked for sake -- he brought me a beer. When I told him that wasn't what I ordered, he looked confused and literally said "oh well" before setting it down like he couldn't care less. No apology, no fix, just attitude. Then, instead of correcting it, he dumped us off on another server. Our group ordered plenty of food -- probably the biggest ticket they had that day -- and yet we were treated like we were taking up space. The place wasn't even busy, but before we'd finished eating, our new waitress came over and said, "So are you guys going to get dessert or what? Do you think it's time to go? Do you want the check?" We all just stared at each other in disbelief. When we said we'd take the check, she literally threw it on the table and walked off. It was beyond rude -- it was insulting. The entire experience was awkward, uncomfortable, and absolutely unprofessional. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed that this is the kind of "service" their staff provides. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the disappointment -- there are plenty of places in town that understand what basic respect and hospitality look like. read more

Wow, what a great place. Came here on a whim as our typical place was closed. This place was open during the typical mid day break. The reviews were good and people said pricing was good,so why not. I can attest that the food was really good and the pricing was great. We had the group platter (forget the actual name) but it was $40 and it came with 3 rolls, 2 standard rolls, and 6 pieces of chefs choice normal sushi. It was definitely worth it and was plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids. The service we received from Niko (I could be wrong) was phenomenal and he took care of everything we needed. This is a great place to get sushi. The fish, veggies, and all that goes with it is always fresh! We have tried several of the fancier, more expensive sushi. They are delicious, but almost too big to put in your mouth and too messy to eat half of. Flavors are outstanding, just be forewarned. We go with the standard choices of sushi, which are quite numerous. It's not a real huge place, but we've always gotten in right away, despite most of the tables being occupied.
