Kimbap: gobo, CA roll and fish cake rolls

Always consistent, great variety, fresh and lots of toppings and little rice - perfect ratio!

~ - * TRY THE TEOKKOCHI * - ~ Located inside Super Hmart. The owner here is so sweet! I always get the teokkochi (tteokbokki fried on a stick) and their spam gimbap! It's so addicting! They close at 7PM daily.

I haven't visited this grocery store in while! and I'm so stoked that a lot of the food places are still thriving! Awoolim, I forgot that you offer fried chicken as well! I ordered the usual favorites tteokbokki, tteok-kkochi, gimmari, and ODENG. The tteokbokki and the ODENG were given to me right away after ordering. But it took some time for them to prep for the tteok-kkochi and the gimmari, which is perfectly fine because when they handed them to me, they were so crispy and delicious! There are still some tables that are available for you to enjoy food there, but it can get packed and you'd just have to make friends and share the spot! The ambiance is casual, it's nice to be able to grab a bite or two before finally walking around the grocery store to get more amazing food and goodness from H-Mart.

I've drop by here a few times for a quick bite to eat and also to take for home. The staff he is very kind. Located inside of H Mart. The kimbap selection is sizable. I particularly like beef since it comes with a lot of pieces and it's great for sharing. Depending on the time of day the food court area can get packed and there's limited seating. Since I frequently shop at H Mart, I tend to get some Kimbap to go, it's tasty!

I really like Korean rice rolls. I find them to be very comforting and filling. This little store is located in H mart. We get takeout here from time to time. I like to eat them as late night snacks. Those rolls are made freshly everyday. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are very good!

First time visiting Super H Mart in Diamond Bar. I didn't know there is a Super version of it... cool! After walking around the market, I decided to checkout the food vendors alongside the right of the market... a small food court if you will. There are 5 different vendors all specializing in different goodies. I was curious about Awoolim Kimbap Factory because they had pre-packaged items on a table so I walked over to check it out. It turns out to be a fast food version of Korean sushi known as kimbap. Each small tray of kimbap either has chicken, pork, beef, spam, veggies, etc with sushi rice and a little bit of veggies wrapped in dry seaweed. They are reasonably priced. I also saw what appears to be fish cake on a stick. I was curious about that so I got an order. Read this, if you eat it here, it's $2.00, but if you take it to-go, it's $6.00 LOL. I asked the gentleman behind the counter why that's the case... he says you get a lid for the to-go, but you don't get one if you eat here. Okay, so the lid is costing me more than the fish cake on a stick like by $4.00??? Doesn't the lid normally comes with the cup?? I had to laugh extra hard... too funny! LOL LOL LOL Btw, I ate the fish cake here... it was okay actually. Fish cake was good, but broth was soy saucy,,, very light though not too salty. It was a steal for $2.00 versus $6.00 LOL. Alright, enough of the chuckles... back to this review. In addition to the fish cake, I was curious about the kimbap so I bought one small tray... of course I did. It had fried chicken in them. It wasn't too bad, but I thought the chicken could have had more flavor to it. Maybe I got the plain one and not the flavored one. I may return to try their other meats. Staff was very nice. We had a good laugh on the lid topic. Thanks! Its restaurant front setup is long, but not alot of counter space though, hence, the food items on the tables. Btw, it has the same prefix business name as Awoolim Mix Mi which happens to be right next door to them. Maybe they are related or owned by the same people. Who knows! Well, as long as the food is good and tasty, that's all that matters. Happy Awoolim'ing!

Awoolim is located in the Super H mart in diamond bar, ca. They specialize In Korean rolls better known as kimbap...with so many choices one can not go wrong. Worth the try if in the store! My only suggestion would be to add a time the items were made so people know how fresh it is. But I am sure they rotate out fairly quickly, don't worry you wont die because its not refrigerated.

So let me tell you a cute story : I have a suscription to one of those apps where u receive text messages from ur Kpop idol right? And the other day my ABSOLUTE BIAS of all times was talking about how he was eating 'pork cutlet gimbap' , and I swear I kept on thinking about this cause he mentioned he had eaten this 3 days in a row. Needless to say, I went straight to the ONE PLACE where I knew I would find what I was looking for, just inside the HMart in Diamond Bar: Awoolim Kimbap Factory. You have to trust me when I say, this Gimbap is made with LOVE, and not only that but super fresh ingredients. The price is super affordable and the quality is top notch. Because this is part of their food court selection, you have to pay there, but u will not regret ur choice. They charge u super quick, and everybody working there has always been super nice anytime I've gone. Pair it with a bottle of Soju that u can find inside the market and there u have it: an alternative Korean dinner, way lighter and less expensive than KBBQ. Oh and who's the bias you may ask? . GUESS!

Finally pleased to sit down inside H Mart and enjoy and fine lunch! The wait for my tteokbokki and garlic soy chicken was not long. The staff was very friendly, so people who are not used to Korean fast food can also enjoy! Glad there are dining tables the staff always cleans up when they can. I was comfortable eating indoors and shopping right after.

Although a small place inside H Mart, definitely check them out for freshly made kimbap! Great as a snack and a meal there or to go. Got the fish cake one and has vegetables in it too. For $8.50 fed the two of us and we were stuffed. Pair with kimchi which we got a huge gallon at H Mart!

The store is located inside the H Mart. It's a plaza with a large parking lot so I had no trouble finding parking. They had some pre-packaged rolls on the table in front of the store but I didn't see what I wanted so asked the lady. I tried the fish cake and bulgogi kimbap. They seem to make the rolls fresh since she had to slice the rolls and package them when I asked for those types of kimbap. Both very good. Service was also good. Of note, if you use credit card they do have an extra charge if your order isn't over $10

This sign was posted at the front but when I went up to pay at the register the cashiers seemed so confused and started getting so rude and aggressive. Don't go after 7pm I guess?

That said I was pleasantly surprised with how balanced the meal was. I ordered three pockets: spicy tuna, grilled pepper salmon, and takowasa (octopus and wasabi). I will say the spicy tuna has got a kick to it! While the yubu is sweet, it's a very nice balance with the flavors from the toppings. Portion sizes are generous too, although there was more rice than toppings. Parking is plenty in this plaza. I came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait.
