    Kbop bowl

I've been here when it was a Japanese sushi place. I think this place as a Kbop modern eatery is better fitting next to Mt. SAC. Pricing and the food selection were great and reasonable. Everything is bright, white, clean and updated. Service was good. I supposed they cook the food to order so everything is really hot and fresh. I assumed if you're in a rush you might want to give yourself enough time to get the food. I have the KBOP bowl ($14), adding glass noodle side dish ($3). I think it's delicious but a bit dry. My daughter ordered the beef potstickers and boneless chicken. Also very delicious. I'll want to try the instant bowl of noodle option in the future. Sounds interesting.

Sometimes I spend a lot of time looking up new restaurants to try. I'll waste hours trying to focus down what's a good food joint I haven't tried yet. And other times they open a new Korean kitchen next to where you get your haircut. And by a happy accident they do a decent Korean bulgogi and spicy pork bowl. It may not quite be to the level of an ANB, but it's more than delicious enough to pick up after an appointment with one's barber. The service was great. Other than telling me it was $1.50 to add green onions when it's actually free and included with the bowls, there were no problems. They got my bowl to me quickly and the ordering was actually pretty speedy. The ambience was nice. Everything was vibrant and upbeat. They have enough tables for the amount of customers coming in. Plus, the music was kind of lively compared to what you usually get in a bowl food joint. I didn't have my book with me but I bet it's very friendly to killing off a chapter or two after you eat here. All in all, it's a good find and one I suspect I'll be coming to every now and then just because it's so convenient and tasty.

Came here for lunch since I wanted to try something new Got the mixed bowl with beef bulgogi and chicken. It comes with rice and salad. The beef bulgogi was a bit tough and hard to chew. The marinade was ok. The chicken had no taste, really bland! The salad dressing tasted too sour like vinegar and did not compliment the salad or bowl since it got mixed in with the meat and rice. The ribs were pretty good, cooked well and had some nice fat/meat pieces. Chapjae was not the best. It had a nice soft chewy texture, but the flavor tasted like there was too much sesame oil where it felt greasy and it was really peppery. The flavors were too Americanized for me. I prefer a more authentic Korean place.

Such a good grab-and-go spot! I was hungry and wanted a quick fix so I went with the Kbop bowl - beef bulgogi and spicy pork. Both meats were surprisingly tender and there were more meaty than fatty pieces, which I appreciated. The base comes with half white rice half salad but you can change it to your preferences. It was the right amount for me to feel satiated and not overly stuffed. The process of ordering and receiving the bowl took less than 5 minutes. I went at night so parking was super easy but it is fairly small. There was no one dining in when I visited but the interior is bright, spacious, and modern with its own ramen station.

I am so excited that KBOP finally opened today! Every day I drive by, I look to see if it's open yet and finally the day has come. I've driven by a KBOP on Huntington in Monrovia and they confirmed it was the same restaurant. KBOP took over the former Domo Sushi & Roll location across Mt. SAC. They've completely renovated the interior and it's beautiful. It's very bright and welcoming and enough seating for about 25 guests. The staff was very welcoming and happy to explain the menu and give recommendations. I ended up ordering: KBOP Bowl w/ spicy pork and beef bulgogi KBOP Bowl w/ chicken only Boneless Fried chicken (6 pieces) in soy garlic flavor w/ Spicy Mayo sauce Side of Korean Glass noodles (aka japchae) They also have KBOP fries, but I'll have to try that next time when I have the whole family in tow to share with me. The food was great! Bowls come with a base of half white rice and half salad. I enjoyed the chicken bowl, the chicken was tender and well seasoned. Salad was refreshing and helped to balance the palate while eating the savory food. The fried chicken was yummy! I really liked the flavor and sauces I got (which the staff recommended to me). The glass noodles were good but a bit saltier than I'm used to. There's also a ramen station on the side of the restaurant. It's not ready to use yet, but they said you can order a bag of ramen from the ramen wall, they'll put it in a bowl and then go to the station to fill it with hot water. Makes me think of a convenience store.... The food was ready quick! I love that they stick a label on each container so you know what's what. I don't know why more places don't do that and you have to guess what everything is. Only downside is that parking can be really challenging as it's a small lot and there aren't a lot of spaces available, especially if you have a lot of customers visiting the other shops in the plaza. Overall, KBOP is a great addition to Walnut, and I can't wait to come back!

First time here. Ordered a Korean fried chicken bowl and regular fries (not pictured). Very flavorful. The guy who took our order was nice, helpful and open to questions if we had any. The place is small, but there's seating. It's bright and clean. There's two water stations to make your ramen if you choose that for yourself. It's across the street from Mt. Sac so I predict this place is busy during lunch time some days. The fries were perfectly seasoned. If you want ranch for your fries it's an extra 55 cents (not a dealbreaker). It's a cool place. I'd happily come back.

Ordered the mixed rice bowl, almost $16 and the protein portion is so small. There were only a few pieces of chicken. The bowl was pretty good with the base having half rice salad but just wasn't filling enough for the price :/ There's an online ordering system, was able to pick up the food quickly.

Finally open! Right across from Mt. SAC. Place is clean and inviting. Cashiers are welcoming and helpful if you have any questions. Menu prices looks reasonable. We ordered a Mixed Rice Bowl w/ Chicken and a fried egg (optional no extra charge) and a order of 6 Piece Boneless Fried Chicken Soy Garlic flavor. Food was very good and the boneless chicken was also very good! They have a Ramen Station if you're craving ramen or Jjajamyeon. They have extra toppings for the ramen too! Maybe we'll try the ramen next time. Over all this is a place I would definitely come back too. Parking lot is kinda small but we had no trouble finding a spot right in front.

The only downside was that our waters were never refilled during the meal, although it honestly looked like there was only one server working at the time. I love the food court vendors in Arcadia, which are different than the ones in Diamond Bar, but with Diamond Bar being closer to me, I decided I should give this location a try. And I'm so glad I did, as I may have found my new favorite bibimbap! After debating on the different offerings, I had to try the hot stone bibimbap, so I went for Hansol. The service was quick. The ambiance, of course, what you would expect from a grocery food court... nothing fancy. However, the food itself was as if ordered at a restaurant. It came with banchan, as expected; however, different from other places where I've had bibimbap, it came with a packet of seaweed and a beef broth (which I originally thought was tea). I'm so glad to have tried this because this means I won't have to drive to Arcadia when I'm in need of H Mart groceries while simultaneously hungry for good Korean food.
