It's been a couple years since my first review. Thought I do an updated review. I have been to Hungry Bulldog House (HBH) a few times. First time was take-out for a Yelp event. Second time was dine-in with my two daughters. My most recent time was take-out with my eldest daughter. I love their K-dog Mozzarella and K-dog Pepper Jack! Got both of them with hot cheetos. Please note they charge extra for the topping. I also got the Curry Pork Katsu Plate. They were delicious just like the first time we had them. YUMMY! I appreciate the clean and inviting dining space. Too bad I don't live nearby. I would be more of a regular customer, but it is what it is. I'll just have to swing on by whenever I can. Thank you HBH for staying true to your K-dog craft!
We like Hungry Bulldog House, including their food, their concept, and the service. They serve Korean comfort food such as spicy rice cakes, katsu, and corn dogs, and the atmosphere is casual. My daughters always like to order their cheese dogs, and we ordered the mozzarella and K style hotdog original (full sausage dog) with cheetos and they tasted so delicious. The service was also good, and the interior is cute. I will try their other items on the menu next time.
Was craving for a corndog, I remembered my friend recommended me this place. I ordered my corndog with cheetos. I was just taken a back when I saw that the hotdog was pretty tiny. But the breading tastes ok. I also ordered jjangmyeon, it was okay. But would just order the corndog again next time! The service was pretty good too, the cashier that got my order was pretty pleasant. I love bulldogs, that's why I really loved their interior.
This place was recommended by a friend and it was really good! Food: 5/5 We got the pork katsu plate that came with a cabbage salad, rice, and pickled radish. The salad was yummy with a light dressing. The rice was fluffy. And the pork katsu was crispy and paired nicely with their sweet chili sauce. Service: 5/5 This place is a window order service. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table when it's ready. The pork katsu was made to order and came out nice and hot. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is really cute and has cute bulldog decor. The only down side is that the plaza this restaurant is located in is a little dead. I would say location is probably why this place isn't more popular. Overall everything was really good and I would definitely come back.
Date of visit: 1/17/2025 My first time here. We ordered katsu with side of curry, kimchi fried rice and rice cake with added ramen & sausage (mild spicy) Everything was delicious, except the curry sauce, which our party felt meh, BUT the katsu sauce that came with the order was bomb, so...yeah...lol. Another thing needs mentioning is that the rice cake (Tteokbokki) was absolutely delicious! Mild is truly mild and manageable for my kids. They also gave plenty of fish cakes (yum!) and ramen was al dente, which can be a deal breaker for me, otherwise. After the meal, I wondered to myself why it took me so long to try this place lol. Highly recommended!
Finally got to try this spot! We used to get boba from next door and was always curious about this place. I got the Bulldog Bulgogi Rice and my fiance got the Jajang Myun Stir Fry. Both were good and the portions were decent! We got a pitcher of water right when we sat down which is always good so we don't need to ask for some. The lady who took our order was very nice. If you are curious about the name, I overheard the owner say that he named the restaurant Bulldog because he does have a bulldog! We will definitely come back.
Flavor wise, the spicy rice cake base was very watery. I'm used to having it just a tad bit thick. So my rice cakes weren't really coated and tasted bland. Actually everything in the soup was bland due to the watery consistency. The bulgogi was good tho. Nothing-out of the ordinary bulgogi flavor.I would order than again. Portions are very shareable. 1 order feeds up to 3 people.
Hungry Bulldog House serves delicious Korean street food with quick and friendly service. When I visited, I ordered a spicy katsu sandwich with fries and a K-style hot dog. Do not underestimate the sizing of what you see in pictures - the portions were BIG. The katsu sandwich was superb. I tend to eat spicy things but I think their spicy is a little spicier than expected so I would be cautious of that. Nonetheless, it was really delicious and the generous amount of coleslaw helped by adding some acidity and freshness. The K-style hot dog was so tasty - I've been looking for a Korean style corn/hot dog in the place ever since Top Dog closed and this is an amazing substitute! It was also a lot bigger than expected and pretty filling. There is ample and clean seating. Both times I've been here, I've been greeted the moment I walk through the door with a friendly hello by the young woman working!
It's a spacious restaurant with multiple tables. It's good for individuals, couples or groups. It's fairly simple inside, the Bulldog decor is cute and fun. Music is poppy and energetic. I ordered to go, the Spicy bulgogi and a Thai tea. Thai is tasty, made well. The spicy was a perfect amount of sweet and spicy. I get all the flavor, mixed with the white rice so delicious I like the carrots. I'm happy with my choice today. It's also a good size portion, I'll be able to eat the rest later otherwise it would be good for my children to share maybe not the spicy but it would be a good size for two children . The girl in the front was nice, friendly and attentive. They're in a plaza and a decent size parking lot. The parking is decent size parking fairly spacious. It's conveniently located right off of the freeway. That's probably the best part. The location is good. I feel satisfied with my lunch today, thank you.
I first came to Hungry Bulldog House a few years ago to try it out. Now I go to the dance studio in the same plaza so I see it a lot more often. I was craving some tteokbokki and Korean style hot dogs and this was the perfect spot to get both. I went in on a Friday right at noon and there was only one table being occupied. As soon as I sat down though people just started flooding in for the lunch rush. I ordered the Mozzarella & Sausage K-Style Hot Dog ($5.49) and the Spicy Soup Rice Cakes with Sausage added ($14.99 + $2.50). Once I sat down at a table the cashier, who was basically taking orders and busing the tables on her own, brought over a jug of water with a cup, some napkins, and a pair of chopsticks. The hot dog was really big and I could get full just off of it, although the hot dog was mostly the mozzarella cheese and only the lower third of it was the sausage. They put out a few condiments out at the front for you to top the hot dog with. They have the classic mustard and ketchup, but they also have sweet & sour, honey mustard, and sweet chili. I also liked adding the sweet chili sauce to my hot dog. The tteokbokki was a big order and is probably meant for sharing but it was just me. I got mine at the medium spicy level, and it was definitely not for the weak. It wasn't unbearable, but I did have to reach for my water quite a few times. I do wish there was at least an add on for some vegetables because there were a lot of carbs and protein, but no vegetables which I would really like to have in my meals. The place really filled up quickly during the lunch rush, and by the time i even received my plates all the tables had been taken up. It's a nice spot to have a quick meal, and the prices are pretty reasonable. They really need to get someone to help bus the tables because that poor girl was running back and forth taking orders AND bringing out orders/cleaning the tables, but she was killing it, props to her.
love this place! i've been here a few times and the food never disappoints. the prices are very reasonable as well. i've had the curry udon, sausage udon stir fry, korean corn dog and kimchi fried rice in the past and they all were very delicious. the family who runs the restaurant are very nice and the restaurant is decorated with lots of bulldog decor. they also sell fosselman's ice cream.

I came to Hungry Bulldog House after taking an exam and was really craving something comforting. Even though it was a hot day, I needed a spicy tofu stew to warm my soul. I ordered the tofu stew with sausage, and the portion was huge!! I ended up splitting it over two meals. I also added an egg for an extra $2.50, which was a nice touch. Overall, the stew was delicious and really hit the spot. The ordering process is pretty straightforward bc you pay first before finding a seat. There's also plenty of parking available outside, which is super convenient. One cute detail I loved was the small ice cream bar in the front which it adds a fun touch to the place. For the service, we had a friendly lady check on us and help us with our meal and ordering, so that was nice to experience. The interior was a more empty feeling space but maybe it was because it was just empty on a Saturday evening. The food itself was honestly just okay. I have had some curry udon in the past, but it just feels like this was a packaged curry with udon noodles and sausage. This was not worth the price. Same with the spicy rice cakes. The sauce and soup was solid, but a bit too much tang and it felt more like a packaged rice cake you can buy from the store the cheese was melted at first, but it became hard quickly after. I don't think I'd recommend both of the items. The saving grace was the Korean fried chicken wings. These are good, the sauce was yummy, and the texture was great. I was disappointed because of the high remarks for this place. read more
Hungry Bulldog has become my go to place whenever im craving Korean food. They have a wide selection from tteokbokki to jajangmyeon to katsu! Their serving sizes are also huge and perfect for sharing with friends. The workers are always so nice and accommodating. The place is a bit small and surrounded by pictures of English bulldogs, which resonate with me a lot. I recently took my family here, and we ordered jajangmyeon, ttekbokki, tofu soup, katsu curry, and kimchi fried rice. Everyone came out extremely satisfied. Absolutely no complaints about flavor. The best part was that all of that came out to around $100! Overall, really good spot, no doubt recommend this to everyone around the area. Will be coming back soon! read more

This is de best, Tteoppoki place I ever tried thus far. And it is affordable compared to other restaurants offer this menu, portion wise, it is good for 2 people. My advise, for all of you that love spicy, medium level is perfect and tolerable BUT not spicy coz it will end you not be able to enjoy the food The lady that I suspect the owner, was the one who took our order. I also ordered the hot dog - jalapeno & cheese flavor and the size is huge and served hot (temperature). This small business is really deserved for a try! Especially the foods variation are homey & authentic Korean dish! read more

When we walked in for dinner yesterday there was no one dining inside or making togo's. We saw over 4 stars for this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Inside the restaurant was cute with bulldog sign on the wall. It makes we wonder how they got so many 5 star reviews for this place. Unless I ordered the wrong item to try but we were feeling some jjajang and something soupy so ordered tofu soup along with spicy popcorn chicken. You walk in and order and sit down at any open table. They bring out the water after you order with plates and silverware. 1. Jjajang Noodles tasted like powdered jjajang and my potatoes were not cooked all the way. 2. Spicy Tofu Stew was basically tofu soup and soup itself had no flavor and it had bunch of chopped on onions inside. I know I wasn't expecting army soup like flavor but got ours with pork belly and expected little more deep flavor. 3. I am pretty sure on the pictured menu popcorn chicken looked like popcorn chicken you order from boba shops and we thought spicy version would be spice added to popcorn chicken but we actually got gangjung style boneless chicken which kinda threw us off. I should have read some of the reviews beforehand but lot of them were raving about tteobokki and katsu but definitely had better when it came to korean bunsik style food. read more

I came here during a Saturday early evening and it wasn't busy at all. Actually I felt bad that I interrupted the cashier's meal time when I walked in lol. Ordering was super simple and it's a very casual joint. You order up front first and seat wherever you like. I got the bulgogi plate, which was not that bad. Although the meat was a bit too tender, but the flavor was pretty okay. It generally seems like the food is okay, but the service here is nice! read more

A friend told us to check this place out and we're grateful for his recommendation. This menu has all I need. They even have ramen coated deep fried cheese on a stick! Amazing service, too! The prices are reasonable for the amount of really delicious food they pile on! The chef and staff are doing a great job! The restaurant is very clean and they have sanitizer at every table, not that I use it, but it's thoughful and that shows they care. Check them out and treat yourself to some proper munchies! read more

Stopped for a quick bite on our way to CPP. The vegetarian curry was not bad. The Korean hotdog was pretty good, had a nice crunch to it. My favorite was the spicy chicken bites. Setvice was fast and friendly. Not a bad place for a quick meal. read more

Ok I think I've mentioned before my kids love ASIAN cuisine ... that's their 2go. I've had this place bookmarked for several months, and today we decided to have lunch here. Wow, all the dishes were delicious. Even though it is small family owned/run, only three people working here, the service was quick. It does get crowded so try to come before the lunch rush. This is a small spot in the diamond bar plaza. It feels like a mom and pop shop that serves good Korean snack foods. Food: good! I really liked the rice cakes with the added ramen. It was sweet with a little kick to it. The hotdog was plan (no cheese) and they had condiments at the counter. It was also good! Felt like a breaded corn dog! Service: good! We were randomly in the area and craving tteokbokki and came across this spot to give a try. The dish was honestly not bad at all and we enjoyed the flavor of the spicy sauce a lot. The dish already comes with rice cakes, fish cakes, and an egg. We opted to add the ramen and cheese for an additional charge which we thought added more texture and sustenance to the dish and was well worth it! We got medium spice level and we were so glad we did because the spicy truly builds as you eat it and got more spicy as we went along. Had we gotten the next level up for spicy, it would have been very difficult to finish. This portion was set up to perfectly feed 2 with no leftovers so thumbs up for portion size as well! Service was fine, nothing too crazy since the place is small and not too busy to begin with. The ambiance is nice and very modern and clean inside. Lots of parking available in the complex as well. read more

Ordered the curry katsu and house katsu sandwich (chicken), which came with fries. The breading on the katsu is fried well and is on the lighter side, which is nice. The portions were a good size. For me, the food is 3.5 stars, but to be fair, it's probably a matter of preference. The flavors and food were solid, but not quite my cup of tea. The katsu sauce has a pineapple taste to it. Normally I like pineapple, but not this time, and not in a katsu sauce. The curry sauce was also not spicy, though we ordered medium. They give you jalapeño peppers, so I guess you add that to the sauce to make it spicier. It wasn't bad; just not to my liking. Others may really like it though so, as I said, it's a matter of preference. Maybe I need to try some other things. The girl at the counter was nice and attentive, checking if we needed more water, etc. There's plenty of seating for dining in and some of the other food (at a nearby table) looked interesting to try. read more

We had the pleasure the past Saturday to stop by and try Hungry Bulldog House. We were in the area after shopping at Frank and Sons and worked up an appetite. I was in the mood for Korean Corn Dogs. Walking in, we were greeted and the gentleman was very nice. We ordered Beef Bulgogi, a chicken sandwich, Korean Corndog, spicy rice cake with seaweed rolls (loved them) and dragon fruit lemonade. Everything was delicious. The portions are very generous. Brought the Korean corndog home and heated up nicely in my air fryer. Will visit again for sure. read more

I was craving Korean food and found that this place is fairly new. I ordered the corn dog, cheese dog, and ddukbokki. The ddukbokki was so soft and chewy and probably one of the best ones I've ever had. The mild isn't that spicy, so you should be ok if you can't handle spice. The corn dog and cheese dog are both delicious! They're both better than a lot of Korean corn dogs I've had. read more

This spot came recommended to me by a friend and my family and I really enjoyed the food here! It's located in a pretty busy plaza, and when I came on a Sunday, parking seems to be more available on the other end of the plaza closer to Sunright. There are a few tables inside that you can eat at. I ordered: Curry Pork Katsu - served with cabbage salad & rice. Family liked it - 10/10 Gab Jang Rice Cake (not spicy) - a bit bland for me - 7/10 Chicken Burger w/ fries - Super Yum! 10/10 BBQ Chicken Plate - Chicken was pretty dry. Served with cabbage salad & rice. 7/10 Bulldog Beef Bowl - Not bad. Reminds me of Yoshinoya. 8/10 Hot dog w/ hot cheetos - Family liked it, but skimpy on the sausage 9/10 Kimchi Fried Rice - Comes out with such a pretty egg on top! 9/10 The website isn't really helpful. I tried to find a menu on their website so I could order for pick up, but the only menu they have is an old picture of their menu board with outdated prices. True Korean comfort food! We got the Spicy Rice Cake Soup (tteokbokki), the Beef Bowl, which is like boulgogi, and the girl who helped us at the cash register recommended us getting a hotdog to dip into the Spicy Rice Cake Soup, so we got the Mozzarella hotdog. And she was right! It was so guuud. Everything was really hot and tasty. I especially liked the tteokbokki. The restaurant itself was clean and modern and it wasn't too busy when we went on a Friday for lunch so we got our food pretty quickly. Would come back whenever we're craving Korean comfort food! *Pro tip: if you check in on Yelp, they give you one free soda. read more

Hungry Bulldog House dishes up street-style Korean food including staples like tteokbokki and corndogs. I popped in and tried both. The corndog was freshly fried and super hot! The battered exterior was very crispy and had that sweetness characteristic of corndogs. I opted for no sugar for health. The tteokbokki came in a massive container and was stuffed with rice cakes, fish cakes, onions and lots of sauce. HBH packs the heat, so it's not for the spice intolerant. read more

Yes, it is Curry Rice or Kimchi Fried Rice without meat.
Do you guys cater?
We are sorry we can not provide any cater service due to short kitchen staffing.
How can we order ahead? The phone line is always busy when I call? I tried to call 28 times (per my phone's history) and each time it was busy.
How strange. We always call in and order and they always pick up. We just ordered Saturday night. Maybe try again? They are really good and worth a try
