Been here several times for lunch when visiting my mom, always good food. We typically order combos with tofu soup and meat, and then share. The bulgogi beef is well seasoned and not too sweet which is nice, and the chicken is always well cooked and tasty. The tofu soup is okay, the service is so-so. I only did takeout this time around, and I have to say, the process was super easy and convenient. One thing they definitely get right is the portion size. I got a lot of food for what I paid, which is always a win. However, the main event was a bit of a letdown. I found the tofu soup to be really lacking in both texture and flavor. It just didn't have that rich, savory punch I look for in a good soondubu. In my opinion, Young Dong Tofu just down the street still reigns supreme when it comes to the soup itself. Since I didn't eat inside, I can't really comment on the dine-in vibe or service, but it's a solid enough spot if you're looking for a heavy portion of food to-go. I ordered the tofu soup with beef intestine and although there wasn't that much intestine in it, it was still delicious and chewy. My sister opted for the tofu soup with oysters which only had around 5 pieces and her bf got the tofu soup with pork or beef which he thoroughly enjoyed. Would have liked the tofu soup to have more in it, but the side dishes were all delicious and fresh. Each order came with a side of yummy purple sticky rice and an egg you plop into your piping hot soup to cook. The fish cake, kimchi, cucumbers, pickled radishes, seaweed, bean sprouts, and mashed potato's were all soo good plus free refills! You can also ask for complimentary hot barley tea. A pretty good soup place and would come try their other menu items! Also mild spice was not spicy at all for me so definitely go with medium if you prefer a little more of a kick. Their banchan is always yummy too, from the fresh kimchi to the tasty fish cake. Their katsu is great since it's super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Then their galbi and bulgogi are both flavorful, tender, and definitely worth ordering. Service is fast, the servers there are really nice, and this place just never disappoints! read more

I think they've changed ownership over the years, but the food has stayed consistently good. Love the combo with kalbi or bulgogi with the oyster tofu soup. I like spicy foods but generally still order mild and find that it's a nice level. But medium would probably be fine, too. The banchan (little side dishes) are all great. It's usually more empty than full, and I've always been seated right away. There's a few TVs with Kpop groups dancing and music playing overhead. The servers are patient, though after ordering, you might need to flag someone down if you need water refills. On this visit, we ordered the Bibimbap + Tofu Soup combo and an extra Dumpling Tofu Soup. One nice thing: the combo comes with a full-sized tofu soup. Just note that if you order bulgogi or galbi as part of a combo, the portion's smaller than the standalone entrée. *Dolsot Bibimbap: This was colorful, balanced, and delicious. My friend doesn't eat bean sprouts, and the kitchen kindly plated them on the side per request. They also give a bottle of gochujang on the side, but ours got taken away after another table ordered bibimbap. I definitely recommend adding it to boost the flavor. There were plenty of toppings and meat, and it was overall filling. *Dumpling Tofu Soup: This comes with five soft dumplings and a generous amount of silky tofu. The broth is flavorful and comforting as soondubu tends to be. *Banchan: This is your standard sweet mashed potatoes, kimchi, kimchi cucumbers, bean sprouts, and fish cakes. *Purple Rice: Fluffy and pairs well with the soup. I like that this is the default here. Parking has never been an issue, and the restaurant is always clean. They also have a few non-tofu soup items for anyone looking for variety. Notes: They charge for to-go boxes and bags, something to keep in mind if you're planning to take leftovers. Also, rice is served in metal bowls rather than a hot stone pot, so you won't be able to make sungnyung (scorched rice tea) here, which is something I usually look forward to with soondubu. read more

We wanted to try a new Korean Tofu place since our go to spot typically closes too early for us. And Tofu Bean came up on my search since they close at 10pm. Restaurant had a lot of space and service was excellent. I like that they have the big water bottle on the table so I can refill on my own. And I was very happy it had ice in it. While the banchan choices are smaller (I wish they had broccoli or sweet potato or even the small deep fried fish), they all tasted great. And they refilled it without me having to ask. Tofu soups had a lot of flavor (not pictured) and portion sizes were decent. The bulgogi tasted really good and had a good portion size as well. All came out boiing/steaming hot. The Galbitang broth lacked a little bit of flavor but the amount of short rib pieces made up for it. We will definitely keep coming back. read more

We came here after our recent fav was closed and absolutely loved everything we ordered. We got the oyster tofu soup and the seafood pancake and the spicy bbq chicken. My favorite thing about this place is that they offer big bowls of stone hot rice with your meal in addition to the unlimited banchan side dishes. My favorite and must get would have to be the tofu soup and spicy bbq chicken combo. The spicy bbq chicken is a generous portion that isn't busy with distracting veggies like some places but actually chicken and deliciously smelling onions. Only downside is our first time here the service was really weird as it was also the staff lunch break so our service was slow and felt awkward asking for banchan refills.
