Came to this stadium for USBC Open Championships. This stadium is designed for tournament play with 80 lanes. The exterior is a big dome shape but inside, it has high ceilings looks like a regular bowling alley. Has a Pro shop, Grab and Go snack shop, plenty of seatings to watch the teams play. The set up is pretty cool with the screens. It's walking distance from the casinos. Soda bottles in the vending machine cost $5 and chips $4. I went to Grab and Go shop to get cheesy nachos for $5.75. Loved that cheese was spread throughout all the layers to get an even distribution. read more

Wow this is cool! I came here to participate in my first USBc national tournament. There are multiple floors and bowling lanes on the first and 4th floors. The lanes on the 4th floor are pretty grandiose. It's like bowling in well, a stadium ha. There were food options and tons of vendors to explore. The stadium itself is only open for tournaments, so it's a really special experience to be able to come and bowl here. read more

They're not open to the public other than specific events, but I wish they were open more often because I would come more often. Simple bowling setup, no bumpers, no fancy screens, simple bowling. Big shout out for hosting us National Automobile Museum appreciation day for your members! We had a blast! My league bowling partners have never been in the building and they had an awesome time!!! The bowling lanes are so nice and clean looking. I got to see my family bowl in a tournament here not too long ago. They have a full bar and food area. I ordered a Dr Pepper which came with free unlimited refills and a souvenir cup! Downstairs there is a Bowling Museum if you like that kinda thing. Check with the website for times they are open. I don't know if is open to the public I believe this is only for like really good bowlers during tournaments. They are housing for the spooky season your local Reno Haunt "Dark Corner". It is looking pretty frightening in there I definitely recommend coming down to visit the dark corner haunt and seeing the stadium too! read more

We went for the charity event, Boxers and Buddies Bowl! The bowling event featured puppies and dogs for adoption and tickets were $50 per lane for up to 5 people. We got there and started bowling around 3:20 pm. The event went until 5, we had a blast. After watching King Pin, we really wanted to check it out and this was the perfect opportunity. Our family got to check out the stadium for a youth tournament and it was pretty cool. So many lanes with some limited comfy seating and stools. Easy to get to with lots of parking. They offer additional seating on the next floor up but it doesn't stretch all the way across all the lanes so you wouldn't be able to see the corner lanes very well. We brought our own folding chairs in case the seats were taken and it came in handy. Their museum was closed when we went for the tournament on Saturday and Sunday so we will have to return to check it out. read more

We hold our yearly Prospector's bowling event here. Though greatly underused, this is an incredible facility to get your Lebowski on (yeah, King Pin was filmed here, but more of a fan of the Dude)!. Pleasant staff, 78 lanes (we filled them) and plenty of covered parking. Not a big bowler, so this scratches that yearly itch. Can't comment on concessions, as we do our own. Another great attraction in the Biggest Little City. A fun place for a work team building event. read more

First time and quite disappointed. The bowling experience with others and the lanes was "Awesome"! The stadium now is quite dated and stopped in time. No longer a Pro Shop, Food and no vendors during the event. Also, other than us bowlers with guests it was very empty. This museum is still open which was nice and the entire history of bowling. You, could get alcohol $$$$ or a soda!Also, no coffee whatsoever! Free warm water though. I was told COVID-19 was the demise with shut downs. We had the wonderful opportunity this morning of getting to participate in a field trip with fellow homeschoolers at the National Bowling Stadium. We received a behind the scenes type of tour and were able to bowl a game, too. This stadium has so much more to offer than I imagined. It can also be used for huge parties, proms, and also to do some large fundraisers. If you want to bowl here, check out some of their upcoming fundraisers because that is the easiest way to have an opportunity to bowl on one of their 78 championship lanes.. and you will be helping an organization raise money. Our tour guides were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and great with our group. The other staff were wonderful, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return in the future. read more

What an amazing place! Came here to bowl in the National Tournament this year. Place is very clean and it is ran great. There is lots of room for check in, balls getting weighed in, meetings, etc. There is great stadium seating in the middle of the venue that allows you to watch a lot of bowlers at once and kick back and relax. They have a great museum as well that you can walk through and see the history of bowling! Bowling alleys need to take a look at this place and model it! read more

Interesting... I'm not a bowler and I'm lucky if I can score higher than 75 at a typical game. But last weekend friends of a friend of mine were in town for a professional national tournament, so we swung by to cheer them on. This place is HUGE - over 100 lanes. With each lane having a minimum of 5-10 team players plus assorted hangers-on cheering on the players, the place was packed with nearly a thousand people and there were still lots of room. Guests can hang out in comfortable booths above the lanes and drink service was available (about $6 for beers, $3 for small bottles of water). The little snack place was doing brisk business with hot dogs and nachos flying off the counters. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. I didn't know flash photography was not allowed, so one of the gentlemen who worked there kindly came up to me and asked me to turn off my flash. He was very polite - nice not to get yelled at. An entertaining way to kill a few hours. PS. Who knew some bowling balls cost over $200?!!! read more

The largest bowling stadium I've ever been to. Went for a sightseeing tour during a recent trip in Reno. There's a museum section that displays all the original bowlers and the Hall of Fame along with old trophies won by pro-bowlers over the years. The are bowling balls from the 1800's in there! The actual bowling stadium area is huge! I am definitely interested in attending a bowling tournament game just to see all the lanes in action! read more

I heard about this place and I was amazed at the number of lanes this place has. While we were there the Women's tournament was going on. But first, we stopped off at the museum and looked around. As a kid, I used to watch bowling on TV. There were interesting displays on the first bowling pin, several bowling balls sawed in half and much more. After, we went upstairs and went through the gift show and then found a spot behind some women bowlers and watched them for a while. I had to visit this place 'cause I meet my wife when we were in the same bowling league 40 years ago. Brings back some fond memories. read more

The ultimate bowling experience. Not a venue for your family outing or company get togethers. This is where the pro's bowl and where the Open Championships are regularly held. Tough bowling conditions every time. 70+ lanes upstairs (elevator and escalators available). Every conceivable pro-shop and item available too at reasonable prices. Was in town for a tournament recently. The renovations look (and are) great! Always thought the NBS needed more room for bowlers to move and less room on the concourse. The renovation took care of that! Nicer, more modern colors and the couches are firm ( not the fall to the floor feel) Sorry to see the pro shop go, though I think they will have one for national tournaments. Plenty of parking. This place was so cool! I am not a bowling fan by any means; I probably play twice a year maximum. However, this five-story structure included what seemed like 200 lanes that had stadium seating behind them to watch some of the most advanced bowlers in the country play. The bowling Hall of Fame is also included at this location and was a good twenty minute walk through. Overall if you're looking to kill a couple hours in Reno and by all means swing by here for a visit! read more

As a beginner bowler, it's amazing to be in such a big place that professional bowlers play. This stadium is very clean and super large. I love the flags that are are spread throughout the lanes. The monitors are big and bold. As a visitor the have a museum that you can attend for free and learn the history of some bowlers that are in the hall of fame! They do have a donation box inside there. They do have a bar that only serve beer and wine. The pro shop is extremely large and every staff has knowledge regarding bowling and equipment. This place is huge!!!!! I've came here three times now and every single time I think to myself how big this place is. The lanes are clean and shiny. There's booths for the bowlers friends and family to cheer on their players. There's also seating above in the balcony to oversee all the players that bowl. The food stand could use a update and better food selection, since that all that can be purchased in the stadium. It's cool to see the beginning of the tournament since they have the bowlers walk out of a stage ramp and split off to their lanes. The proshop at the bowling stadium is no joke. It is the best by far. They have a huge selection of bowling stuff like tape, gloves and all sorts. They also have shirts and cute baby onesies. Wow the largest bowling alley I've ever been through. Overall I feel like this place is a 3 star bowling alley. Age has taken it's toll on the lanes here, but I add an extra star because the service was plain ole awesome. I've never seen so many lanes in a building before. The sheer size of this place makes you go WOW! Again, the lanes are not the best I've been to, but know there is plenty of room for a billion people to bowl. read more

Visited 6/4/13 through 6/08/13. Attended the USBC Open Nationals this week. This was one of the best bowling experiences!! I am very impressed with this stadium. Huge non-bowler seating above the lanes. A downstairs bar with a smaller set of lanes. But most important, the ability for USBC to run over 300 bowlers through in a very smooth way. The center is located just a block away from some quality small casinos. This is something that every bowler should experience at least once. My hats off to Reno, The National Bowling Stadium and USBC for a great event and time. I will be coming back!! read more
