I called stuck in a snow drift at 11:26 PM and the gentleman (well, not really... he was a jerk) answered and asked me where I was and the car I drove. I told him and he quoted me $350. He wouldn't budge on the price and he told me I had to pay up front or no deal. I agreed and gave him my card number. He told me he'd be there in 45 minutes. An hour and a half went by. I called.. no answer. I left a voice message. Another hour and a half went by. I called.. no answer. I left another voice message. Another hour went by and the snow plows came by and piled snow all around my car and left. Still, no tow truck. Let's put it this way. This towing company is one to avoid. They never came. I had to call another two truck to get me out and that one got there at 4:30 AM. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! Tow operator (Matt?) was professional, courteous, and got the car to the shop with no issues. Could they have been quicker and less expensive? Terrible company. If there was -10 I'd give them that! Jeff from Axel towed my 18 yr old daughter's car from an accident. When he backed it off the flatbed he locked her out and left the vehicle running in the neutral position on the side of the road. *Jeff told her she'd have to pay $60 for him to open the door after HE LOCKED HER OUT!! When she refused to pay him the money to break in he left her on the side of the road (with the vehicle still locked and running in the neutral position). Immediately afterwards I called my insurance company to let them know they need to dump their contract with this horrible tow company. There is a reason they are a one staring here. We got ripped off. My16-year-old daughter locked herself out of her car over the weekend at a gas station. We called Axel and they quoted me $75 for the service. A few days later I checked my credit card and they had charged $230. They explained $30 of that was for a credit card fee, what!?!? And the other $125 was for labor. What a joke. I guess the $75 was for the honor of me calling them?? They will quote you an average price and then bait and switch you on sight. My guess is that they just took advantage of my daughter once they saw how young she was. Despicable. Stealing candy from a baby, real nice guys. I do NOT recommend them. I had battery service done for my mother's car. They would bring the battery and install it for her. I would pay for I and they would go to get home and install it. They chose a $236 battery for my mother's 2004 car. They could not get old battery out and had to tow the car. They charged $145 for the attempt and another $85 for a 0.7 mike tow. They informed me of a $75 credit card fee for a $440 bill. Over $500 total cost. When I spoke with them I was told things are not cheap anymore. The credit card fee was unreasonable and I was not informed of it. I messaged them asking for a breakdown of the bill including information on this expensive battery and have not heard back from them. It is bad enough how they kept adding up the bill, but no sense of customer service. Disappointed in service provided. I do not mind paying more for a product if I believe they are not trying to get the bill higher. I feel they tried to take advantage. Beware using them. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Dude charged me $195 for a 2 mile tow and was 45 minutes late to pick us up. Also drove over a couple solar lights in the driveway. Very dishonest. Quoted one price on the phone, and then doubled the charge with my car on his flatbed in my driveway. Was told if I didn't pay he would take my car. Then they charged me $20 more than the receipt I signed. I disputed the charge with my bank, and the tow company sent a receipt to my bank that had a forged signature on it as proof that the charge was valid. I guess they thought I wouldn't keep the real receipt. Hopefully one day someone puts him out of business for good so he can't take advantage of anyone else. ZERO STARS!!! We have Onstar and they sent out these shysters. Our son was out in the mud in a farm field at most 18' from the pavement-Onstar covers us for 15 ft and they charged us $500 for the tow and a WHOPPING 15% $75.00 to use a credit card!!! REALLY???? When called on it by our credit card Bob said oh it was 80-100ft out then he stupidly sent a picture showing that the car which is 5'8" wide is two widths into the field which is 7' past the grass on the shoulder which is, what Bob? 18ft NOT 80ft. Of course it IS 80 ft if you are standing 80ft away from the car and not across from it ON THE PAVEMENT. We are disputing and will recover the majority of our money especially when I send Onstar and my credit card company a copy of this web page showing all the complaints just like ours!!! Axel i'm afraid your days are numbered if you don't become honest in a hurry. I just read the response to another shafted person from the owner stating that "they took a check which they don't normally do..." This company should receive a rating of minus 5. We had towing arranged by Harley Owners group. This company said they could pick up motorcycles. Reported that they world be at our location within the hour. Two hours later he wasn't there. Then he called saying it would be another 20 minutes. Not even close. Finally showed up about three hours later. Wanted my wife to help him load a 900 pound motorcycle. He didn't have anything to secure the bike properly. We finally called a friend. This company would have surely damaged my bike when it would have fallen over. Harley Owners group had to cancel the tow because this company wasn't equipped to pick up a motorcycle. read more

The owner was so very nice, watched out for my safety & my vehicles safety. Also offered to take me to a shop at no charge. Had the worst experience ever with this towing company. My family and I broke down on the interstate, so we were referred this company by trusted people. The driver got to us about an hour and half after we called, he loaded up the vehicle on his flatbed, then gave us the price. He wanted 750.00 for coming 36 miles to get to us, and tow us another 48 miles. My dad is a truck-driver and has never paid that to tow his truck. We said to just drop the vehicle and we would find someone else, he said to drop it would be $500.00 so as we thought about what we were going to do, he took off with our vehicle. We were lucky we had someone there already to give is a ride, we chased the driver. While chasing him we were on the phone with the State Police, who then pulled him over. He came down a little off the $750.00, but was still very expensive for a simple tow. Doing some research I found that he has changed his company name at least 3 times, and also had a contract with the City of Aurora, but got in trouble with them. I would not recommend them, and hope no one ever has to go through the same thing we did! read more
