Had tons of fun here at Axem Axe Throwing! My wife and I were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves one afternoon. Probably safest for others, as our axe throwing was a bit questionable - haha! Ok, just mines. It was my first time throwing, but not my wife since she had good practice in her past barbarian caveman days hahaha!!.... Jk. The guys working were super welcoming. Once the waivers were signed and we were comfortable enough to get started, one worker took his time to explain the best techniques to throwing, and introduced our axe options. There was also a very sharp and scary looking knife you could throw, but No Thank You! Lol. Axes were scary enough for me. $30/hr per person

This was the first time my boyfriend or I went axe throwing, and we had an absolute blast! Our instructor did a great at job demonstrating each weapon that can be thrown. We did the hour session, and it was the perfect amount of time to get the hang of the throws. We will definitely be back and bring others. There was also stickers for sale at the counter. One had a dog which was a super cute touch.

Date Idea? Hangout with friends? Want to try something fun? Look no further because Axem Axe Throwing is the place for you! I came here with my girlfriend on a weekday night when they opened, and we had the whole place to ourselves. A HUGE shoutout to Marc for guiding us through how to throw the axes and knives. Extremely friendly and amazing teacher. Axe throwing is such an amazing activity that surprised us. We did not expect much going into it, but we ended up having a blast! Bonuses: -They have plenty of parking. -They have a music request, so you can play all your favorite songs -They have a water station, in case, you are thirsty -They have backdrops to take photos -You learn how to throw an AXE! I believe this is a family-owned business, so definitely, stop on by whenever you get the opportunity. You will not regret it. I also got this activity on Groupon, so check there for discounts. Have fun!

10 throws each, better with each game!

Located in one of the many shopping plazas on Azusa Ave. The lot has lots of parking and we were able to get parking in front of the entrance. Inside you're greeted by the owner and a sweet pooch named Ollie. Appointments are required to my knowledge, upon arrival you sign a release waiver online followed by a quick training course by Mark. There's free drinking water and some chairs to sit while you wait for your turn. At first it took a bit to get used to but honestly once you get the hang of it, you really can't get enough. There's some helpful photos next to the scoreboards that will give you an idea of what you may be doing wrong while throwing. My girlfriend took me for birthday and since then we've been talking about it to everyone and just kept saying how great of a date night idea it is, or to blow off some steam. Only con was it was a little warm inside, I'm not sure if it's because I'm chunky and was putting in some work or if it was just warm. Nonetheless we will be back Forsure!

Had a fun time at this small scale axe throwing spot. Location is a strip mall with liquor store & shifty looking folks in the area but inside is clean, well lit & organized. Lanes are closer together & shorter than other places we've gone to. The instructor was great as he demonstrated the safe ways to throw 3 different sized axes. We rented a lane for an hour and between my boyfriend and I, that seemed to be the perfect amount of time. No food or drinks for purchase.

This was a fun experience for the price and the employees were so kind, but I don't think I would recommend anyone going here unless some things change. The place was unorganized and messy. We got a Groupon deal and booked the appointment with Axem, but had to reschedule to a few hours later the same day. We showed up at the time of our later appointment, only to be told that they were "a little backed up" and could see us in an hour. Okay... not sure why they would tell us THAT day to come in at THAT time if they weren't going to be ready. But no problem I was with my cousin who was actually so chill that it prevented me from being as bothered as I might have been. We come back an hour later, and show them our Groupon for 2 people to do the rage room for 40 minutes. Well, the guy told us that the Groupon was actually worded incorrectly, and we only paid for 1 person to use the rage room. We had to pay an additional amount for both of us to do the room - they gave us a discount but it was still very frustrating. The rage room was fun, and we were given the chance to suggest music that would play while we were in there. The room itself needed to be cleaned or organized. The room was full of broken items, the floor was completely covered and you couldn't really comfortably step anywhere. The "protective" gear they gave us was evidently used far beyond its capacity. The gloves were full of holes. The jumpsuits were very limited in size, and they had big rips and missing zippers/buttons. The head gear like helmets and glasses were also very worn. The elastic was all stretched out and the helmets wouldn't stay on, the glasses were hard to see out of. The destruction tools were also past their prime, and honestly weren't even comfortable to hold. The workers were very kind and I still had fun, but the business' disorganization negatively impacted our experience.

Not many axe throwing spots in LA County area, so it's nice to see one kind of near me. Not nearly as refined and fully furnished as some of the other ones I've been to outside of Cali, but for our little area, it definitely does the job. Booked the first time of the day and was greeted by Mark. Nice guy who explained carefully how everything worked. They don't serve food or drinks here (although there is a water dispenser), just axe throwing. Multiple bays lined up next to each other with some chairs for spectating. Lots of room to grow in this business, so you can tell that they're just getting started. Booked for one hour and it's reasonably priced. You get to throw 3 different types of axes, each a different size. They also had a knife that took some getting used to. Hour went by fast, but you can always extend. You can also request the type of music to play and they'll accommodate you. I'd come back and I look forward to seeing them grow and refine the place a bit more. If you haven't tried axe throwing, it's a great way to release some aggression and practice your zombie apocalypse skills!

Fun little date night or friends hang out. Who doesn't want to throw an axe around!??!! It was my first time throwing different sized axes and it was fun! It is very easy to learn. I felt safe and confident after learning. We learned how to throw different sized axes from big to small. I liked the small one since you only use 1 arm instead of 2. You can play anyway you want to from how gets the most points to who gets the bullseye. Anyway you want to play. There is 1 restroom. Plenty of parking spaces.

The instructor was truly the best and very patient. I didn't get it the first few times but the instructor was very patient with us and showing us how to throw the axe while adjusting whatever was necessary Water dispenser and small cups available..this is truly a sport and you can get very thirsty! Lots of parking available 3 size axes available along with a knife that looked like a mini sword Got a groupon deal and booked my appointment very easy and smoothly. Came here on a Saturday afternoon when it first opened so there were just 2 groups of people there

I've been to this axe throwing location twice. I went earlier today with my sister and was surprised to find it empty! I guess it makes sense given that it is a weekday afternoon. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun! As soon as you sign your waiver, a worker will show you how to throw the axes they have and have you do a few practice throws before leaving you to play with your party. The gentleman that helped us today was really nice and patient when showing us some tips and tricks. I believe there are about 6 bays. Plenty of space. They have a.c. units, thankfully! I've been to a different axe throwing spot that did not! Minimum play time is 1 hr. Each bay can accommodate 2-3 players. If your party is bigger, definitely book more than 1 bay. All in all this is a really fun activity to do with friends or even on a date.

The kids absolutely loved the bumper boats, and they had so much fun with laser tag and the go-karts too! We also spent quite a bit of time in the arcade playing a bunch of different games. The entire place was very clean, spacious, and well kept, which made the experience even better. One of my favorite things was that it wasn't packed at all when we went. We barely had to wait in lines, so the kids were able to go from one activity to another without spending the day waiting around. Overall, we all had such a great time and definitely left happy! It's a great spot for families looking for a fun day out. We'll definitely be back!

Boomers was alright, but now that it's back to Bullwinkle's, it's 1000% better! Okay first and foremost, adding axe throwing, I love axe throwing, am I good at it? I'm alright. But it sure does let off a lot of steam! Finally got to go on the new track, oh it's pretty cool to be able to go up a ramp instead of just doing the normal turns. Mini golf is always fun, outside courses need a little love, but that Western that got turned to cosmic, and now back to be an amazing Western theme *chef's kiss* I live for that. I would love to see the rest of the building after it's done with renovations! Okay food, holy cow, that was unexpected. The boneless wings were perfect breading to chicken ratio, the crunch was perfect, and the flavors were great (I wasn't even very hungry so that says a lot about that). Later in the day, we got more boneless wings, because I now have a problem, and we got some pizza. That pepperoni pizza had that perfect crispy bottom, while still being fluffy, the flavors were surprisingly amazing. Honestly, date night, self date, any kind of outing, (we did a bachelor party) just go, trust me it's a lot of fun! Even though I live in the OC, I'm still going to make the drive out there because it's fun!
