What a fun afternoon. The family had never been Axe throwing so we thought we would escape a little heat and check out Axes and O's for some entertainment. Upon walking in we were greeted by friendly staff in a very open yet inviting environment. After verify we had closed toe shoes on (closed toe shoes are required or you get to where a very colorful pair of their Crocs) and doing a waiver we were assigned an Axe Throwing Coach to help us out. Thanks to Pedro (our coach in a kilt) we were quickly throwing axes. The establishment has a fantastic local beer selection, wines and soft drinks. We opted to try the pretzels as a snack and they were very enjoyable with beer cheese and some grain mustard. We can't wait to do it again in the next few weeks. read more

From the booking to the end, this was an excellent experience. I reserved two lanes for my husbands birthday and a large group of us to enjoy some axe throwing. The establishment is clean, lots of space, comfortable and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Our server/teacher was exceptionally helpful and kind. We were placed in an area where it felt very private and like we had the area to ourselves which was awesome. Everyone had an amazing time and my husband had a blast for his birthday. We celebrated my husbands birthday with a bunch of his friends last night and it was a total blast! The atmosphere is nice and not intimidating at all, I'm not sure what I was picturing.. It was very relaxed and the staff was very friendly! Bryan was our waiter/lane dude and he was super helpful with techniques for throwing axes as well as being knowledgeable about the beers! Great place to have a good time with friends. Super open and airy place with nice bar/furniture, some games and several spread apart ax throwing stations complete with seating and tables to order food/drink while throwing. Staff is super helpful to ensure all are safe and have a great time. PS - great selection of beer & wine and good food. Buffalo chicken wraps are on point! I definitely felt comfortable even in the Covid environment as they are adhering to guidelines. Highly recommended and will visit again soon! read more

Had a blast here! Snagged a late in the week reservation for Saturday. There are four lanes, and we were one of three groups, midday. Check in was easy and so was the tutorial. They let us go a bit longer than our reservation since it wasn't busy so that was also a plus. We had beers and flatbread pizzas, all delicious. Took away a star because you have to call to make reservations for less than 6 people and though they require payments over the phone for the reservation, they don't send any sort of confirmation email or anything. Apparently the time that I was given over the phone was off by 15 min, causing us to be late. A confirmation email would definitely help with this. read more

We arrived for an 8:00pm reservation and first off was the ambiance. So relaxing and laid back! Pedro was our coach and we arrived early so we relaxed on the couches and watch Failed army on the wall while he was setting up. We had some good laughs with that. Then throwing time! My first visit to Axes and O's was so much fun! Our instructor was actively involved with us for the duration of our visit, which helped us make the most of our time there. He regularly stopped by to help us improve our throwing technique and to teach us different games. At one point, he even invited us to join an axe throwing league! One thing I was slightly nervous about before arriving was the combination of axes and alcohol. However, everyone is thoroughly trained about how to safely throw and retrieve the axes as soon as they get into their lanes, so throwing the actual axes felt MUCH safer than I was anticipating, even after a few drinks. :) Highly recommend scheduling a visit! The location of the Axes and O's is very shady and in a area with lots of warehouses which did make me question, but once you arrive you can very easily tell the location doesn't define the place. The employees are very kind. The lessons on how to throw an axe are very direct but I do wish the employees would at least throw one axe just for an example. I went with a couple of friends and we all started off bad but we got the hang of it in only about an hour. I grew hungry so I ordered some pretzels and they were well made. The place has a low-key lounge vibe, with comfy couches, a traditional bar, and a separate, bar-like area with stools that runs the width of the ax-throwing lanes. Nice selection of drinks, although only canned hard alcohol cocktails (but quite good) beyond beer, wine and cider. Our ax coach/server was great. Food is mostly apps, flatbreads and a variety of specialty hotdogs (the chili dog was quite good). Parties under six are often paired with another party. The four of us didn't want to embarrass ourselves directly in front of (ok, next to) strangers, so we paid for six to get a private lane (with two targets).
