This place is super super good. I come with my parents pretty often and the staff is super attentive always. We ordered el Plato Catracho comes with 3 pupusa, choice of two meats, four tácitos, plátano maduro with refried beans and on the middle refried beans with cheese and chips. We choose to get two sides of meat instead of pork this time and I love the flavor. The meat was super tender and I like that they come chopped in small pieces. The food here is authentic Honduran cuisine, a great price, and excellent portions. Not much else you could ask for in a spot like this. The service was quick and polite. We could tell our food was prepared to order. It's a small cozy spot with only a few tables -but the togos were popping! We split the Super Baleada with carne asada and pollo tacos (fried to perfection with a great crunch). The cheese(queso fresco) is authentic, I remember its flavor from a trip I took to Honduras. Fantastic find, really enjoyed the pupusas as well as the mixto plate with chicken, beef and pork. Later that night my buddy and I dropped over $300 at Joe's Stone Crab only to realize Catracho was a far more satisfying meal! If I am ever back in Miami I'll drop in again for sure! read more

This place has three locations. This one is located in the tiniest shopping strip, and if you find parking luck is on your favor. Their sign is broken, so you might miss it when you drive by. When you walk in, this place is literally the tiniest place I have seen! They have two booths and two four seater table. They offer carry out and delivery. They have cute Honduran decor all around. Two flat screen TVs and a bit of music playing. The waitress was extremely nice and willing to assist you with any questions. Now let's talk YUMMIES!!! I ordered Anafres mixto and it was so good, but be careful when you take the first bite because it is extremely hot. We drank Horchata which is to die for!!! I later ate a Plato Ceibeño, which is green plantain, cabbage, and Carne Asada with a sauce on top. My man ordered Carne asada and it came with white rice, liquified beans, cheese, salad and a green plantains. The portions are big enough for two. I felt the beans a bit too salty, but other than that it was AMAZING!!!!! read more

I definitely recommend this place! The food was absolutely delicious, and the aesthetic of the restaurant is super cute. I love how they have the Honduran flag around and the little small details. The food was delicious. I ordered desayuno catracho and a pupusa. When I saw the salad on the pupusas, my expectation were kind of low, just looking at the color. But to my relief, the salad was so delicious and the pickled onions we're just perfect and so spicy, I loved it! My boyfriend ordered carne asada he loved it as well, it was very flavorful. I also ordered a raspberry juice, I definitely recommend that juice. The waitress had told me the translation in Spanish for raspberry, but I don't remember what it is. It is the hot pink juice. I recommended it is so so good! Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is so delicious and authentic. I love the ambience and the aesthetic of the restaurant. The only suggestion that I would make is to update the sign outside. Honestly this place was a good place to eat until last week when my family and I ate at this place . We all resulted with food poison and a real bad one were we had to be attended by a physician. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was advised that none was present and the person who responded said they were sorry for the inconvenience. Excellent Honduran food! I had the Carne Asada, ordered rare the way I like it, and it was some of the best I've had. The beans, rice, avocado, and tortillas all were perfect. I haven't had ripe plantains before with a Honduran dish, but now that I know I'll specify green. The pupusas are fantastic! They come with cabbage and spicy onions and jalapeños. For an extra kick, ask for the purple chimol. I also had the horchata.. a very nice flavor! (I've been here three times now, and the food is consistently excellent, the service is friendly. The beans are amazing. Also, my wife has ordered ahead several times from her work for lunch, and they are prompt- with excellent lunch specials- packed to go. The ONLY flaw I find is that they have two televisions running news, novellas, etc. full time over the small dining area; they are, however, happy to turn them down or even hand you the remote. I just always question the presence of TVs in a restaurant unless they're a sports bar.) Another update: they have some "secret" parking. Food is amazing! If you are looking for tradition Honduran food ... this is IT! However, it may take a while for your food to come out even though the restaurant is tiny AND the service is awful. The waitress spends most of the time on her phone and has a horrible attitude. She didn't check on our table, didn't refill our drinks, and we ultimately had to go up to the register to pay (it would have taken an eternity for her to come by, drop off the bill and charge us). Being that my significant other is Honduran, we occasionally enjoy delicious authentic food cooked by his family... but when we are not being spoiled with their delicacies, the next best thing is to stop by Paseo Catracho. This particular location is way smaller than the one on 8th Street, but it is cozy and conveniently located closer to our area. We like to pick-up our food and eat at home most of the time, but have eaten at the restaurant and have received warm, friendly service. The portions are so generous and the prices are so low; you and yours can literally feast for a few bucks. Most importantly, everything tastes so good. I would not be revisiting a restaurant if the quality was not there, even if the food was inexpensive. My favorites are the Pupusas, Tajadas, Pastelitos, and Baleadas (I like the simple ones with beans, cheese, and mantequilla). This cash only spot offers hands down the best Honduran food I've had in Miami. Tastes just like the meals my grandma used to make for us. I highly recommend the baleadas with carne asada! Tortillas are thick and fluffy, beans have a great consistency and the carne asada is to die for. I also recommend their sampler platter that comes with mini pupusas, carne asada, puerco asado, a refried bean and cheese dip, delicious homemade taquitos covered with Crema and cheese, Maduros, Pico de Gallo and Curtido. The Baleadas are absolutely I'm really excited i found this little gem by the house. I usually go to Little Havana to get Baleadas, but this Paseo Catracho, is everything! It's small, but great for pick ups. It has two booths and two other tables to sit as well. The service was great! And they actually accept credit or debit. I also let them know that they should carry Zambos, because who doesn't love their Baleadas with a side of Zambos? Lol! Oh, and super inexpensive! read more
