We Kept hearing good things about this place and decided to check it out on a Saturday night. Didn't have reservations but our party of 4 were seated without much of a wait. The inside was nicely decorated and was cozy. Service was prompt and the servers were attentive. We ordered some drinks which were pretty good. The party ordered a variety of dishes ranging from burritos to enchiladas and all were pretty tasty too. I enjoyed my steak burrito and it was a good size. This is not a place where they provide free chips and salsa and we ordered also ordered some for the table along with the guacamole. Everything tasted fresh, maybe a little too much lime in the guacamole though. The place felt like something between a chain Mexican restaurant and Javier's but smaller. There are reasonably priced dishes or you can get a tomahawk steak as well. There seemed to be something for everyone to choose from in different price ranges. At the end of the meal the bill was about $100 for my hubby and me or $200 for the table including tax and tip. A pleasant place with good food that I'd be willing to return to. read more

A year later and I still love this place! The inside is beautifully decorated, never too noisy, and perfect for an upscale casual brunch, lunch, or dinner. It's similar to an experience you would expect somewhere on the strip. I came here for my birthday back in September and I suggested it for a recent outing with some coworkers while a director was in town. I can't get over their ceviche de camarón con mango, it's so good! I think they changed the name of it at some point, and it might be listed as aguachile now. I ordered it on both of my two most recent visits. On my most recent visit, I packed up my leftovers and forgot them on the table when I left. I was disappointed when I got home and realized I left my leftovers at the restaurant, because I was looking forward to having it for lunch the next day Lol I did try something new, the dulce amor espresso martini, and I absolutely loved it! This was my 4th time visiting and between thenowner, Sergio, and Jose ... The food + service + ambiance makes this one of the top spots to enjoy fine dining and a phenomenal meal. It's rare and always appreciated when a chef and restaurant do all the simple things so well. The table side guac is a true show with 12 available ingredients... Queso fundido with oyster mushrooms peppers and onions... Fajitas and very fresh tortillas both corn and flour... Every now and then a place will slip out of my mind to review and then I find the pictures on my phone and realize I never reviewed. I was actually here in 2024 with friends to enjoy lunch. At the time this place was still fairly new. We entered into this beautifully decorated restaurant and we were seated promptly. Music was at a talking level so no one had to shout. My two friends had their babies with them so we all were kept busy with the kids. I quickly perused the menu and made a good decision on what to eat. We started with the table side service of guacamole and chips. I went ordering the Huevos Rancheros. I liked what I ate and appreciated the unique way they served this dish from this restaurant. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well. For dessert we all loved the churros with the dipping sauces. Although the cocktails looked tasty, it was a little too early for moi to imbibe so next time. Service was decent, we did have a wait a while to be acknowledged once sat and it did take a while to get drinks refilled, however, he was able to answer all of our questions and we had some modifications requested to our items and all of those came out correctly. The place itself is very pretty, definitely more upscale feel but still casual. The food was good, not incredible but definitely good. However, the cost is way too high for what it is. The quest fundido definitely needed the added chorizo or it would've been flavorless and basic, not sure why they even have an option for a plain one. This is still one of our favorite Mexican red in town. Excellent drinks and happy hour items. I have not had anything I haven't liked yet. The fresh guacamole is a hit. The enchiladas have so much flavor and are better than others I've had around town. I especially love the tacos, rice and beans. Service is always great! Awe this place is so cute and such a hidden gem when looking from the outside. We kicked off the celebratory bachelorette weekend for my sister here and wow we had not only a good time but such good food! Everyone ordered something very different but my verde chilaquiles were delicious! But you guys, the thing that blew everyone away here was the amazing and I mean A M A Z I N G churros. I honestly cannot believe I had not stopped by sooner! This restaurant is located in the stripshop area on horizen. Parking can be a little tight as there are other businesses around but not hard to find. My hubby and I arrived with no reservation, lucky for us there was a table available by the enterance across by the bar. Typically this can bother a person but the table and atmosphere was just so welcoming, and sophisticated that it really did not matter. The music was on point with classic and updated latin hits and the ambiance was just perfect. We ordered a few different cocktails, two appetizers and split the beef dish. It was so much food ! Tortillas are made inhouse and were perfectly kept warm. the oysters were probably one of the best I have had in a long time! Drinks were fun, not too strong and not too bland, so very well balanced. First visit to this restaurant. Met two couples for happy hour at 4 pm. Seated right away inside their lovely dining room. Chairs were very comfortable and the server was nice and fast after we ordered. I opted for the happy hour birria with a draft beer. They were out of the IPA on draft. The birria was a nice portion and the meat was tender and flavorful. One couple shared a fajitas entree. Another tried the happy hour chicken tacos. And one tried an entree. Everyone said they enjoyed the restaurant and we would like to return. Chips and three salsas are optional; they do charge. I thought worth it. The quality was excellent and the salsas were unique and tasty. Noticed a small outdoor patio, and a few televisions inside with a nice bar area. It got busy on way out about 6 pm so if we return for dinner, we will make a reservation. Also, the brunch menu looks awesome. read more

I've been here so many times! Tonight was probably my 6th time being in. Service felt really slow, it took almost 5 mins for a host to even come greet/seat us. Waitress was super sweet, but she was also to check in. It was busier, but still seemed too slow. The La Bikina is a great, refreshing drink! The Ay!Ay!Ay! Signature drink was one of the worst things I have ever tasted. Guac was good, elote corn was amazing! First time having it and I would strongly recommend! Chicken enchiladas with salsa verde really went downhill. It seems like they changed their Salsa Verde, it was a little too spicy for me and wasn't a good flavor. Both of us were shocked at the amount of ceviche that can out. That could have been a whole meal! The salsas were all good, my favorite was the roasted tomato chipotle and my bf loved the spicy habanero. The spicy habanero has an incredible flavor and the heat just sneaks up on you. Thank goodness for the drinks! We split the molcajete ayayay for our meal and my favorite was the cheese. Even got a happy cheese noise. The steak, shrimp, catcus and jalapenos had an amazing flavor. There were tvs on the wall and music playing the entire time but it wasn't so loud that a conversation has hard to have. The only part that was a little iffy was after we were done, they were cleaning the table while we were still sitting there. We came here for an event and stayed to enjoy some appetizers. They were having a couple of tequila tastings--Cazcanes and Entre Manos with representatives from both tequila companies doing presentations on different days. Both areas took place in the bar area and we essentially took over the bar (all around and standing room areas). The presentations were both pretty detailed and not too long, which was perfect since this place is pretty lively ALL THE TIME. Their tequila selection is pretty extensive and offers some top notch pours and inventive cocktails. The light bites included chips and guac and salsa. Not sure what they put in the chips but they're very flavorful and addicting. We must've had 3 rounds of them alone! We also got Shrimp Ceviche--the hints of jalapenos almost took me out but also added to the flavor. Corn Esquites were also ordered (Mexican street food/like elotes without the cob but with all the flavors). I like their take on Modern Mexican cuisine and given their attentiveness to our huge groups in addition to the rest of the packed restaurant--refilling water and drinks and food offerings--I will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

The guacamole was a little under salted but very fresh and I liked how it was made at your table and you could alter the ingredients. The shrimp was a little to buttery for us. Service: they had seared us but then asked us to move so they could make room for a big party, so they comped us salsa and chips which was nice. As of the date I went, the Happy Hour menu was available Mon-Fri from 2-5 PM and had 8 items, of which I ordered 4. - Memelas de Birria: Two thick discs of griddle-cooked masa, topped with birria, sour cream-based sauce drizzle, microgreens, and accompanied by two dipping sauces... this was an absolute standout. - Esquites: Super creamy and delicious. At $6, this is a fantastic deal. I believe the undiscounted price is more than double that. - House Salad: Salad is typically not my go-to when I dine out, but theirs comes with two different dressings/ sauces, cotija cheese (I think), thinly-sliced red onions, and tons of flavor. - Al Pastor Tacos: I loved the how the pickled onions and salsa offset the richness of the meat. Went in for a weekday lunch with a couple of friends and our kids - the food was quite tasty and the decor was surprisingly upscale for the otherwise-casual plaza, if a little darker than expected. Staff were great about being just the right level of attentive as we balanced eating our food, catching up, and caring for the kids. It's really nice to find a place where you don't feel like a bother to have little ones with you - and I really appreciated that. The food was tasty, and portions were a good size. We shared the tableside guac and chips to start, I had the fish tacos with fresh made tortillas for my entree, and we split the churros and dipping sauces for dessert - everything was very fresh. It's pretty far for me but I regularly recommend them when friends and colleagues mention being in the area. I will have to find a time to revisit for brunch - the chile relleno breakfast burrito sounds bomb. read more

He even noticed that my water was empty pretty quickly and got it refilled on the next time he came around the dining area. The taco contents in the al pastor was addictively good. However, their house-made tortillas didn't quite hold up to the immense filling. They were tasty on their own. For dessert, the churros hit the spot and are great for sharing. They had perfect texture and flavor with a delicious cream and caramel for dipping. Ice cream came out super cold so it didn't melt fast at all like it does at other places. The ambiance was intimate and dark, which is good for a date. Dark wood, chandeliers, along with some neo western decor (dug the ropes hanging from the ceiling) makes for a very cool environment. There's a bar showcased on the side The chips and salsa were fresh and got us ready for our individual dates. I had the chicken enchiladas and all was well. The ingredients were fresh and the kitchen put everything together well. The dishes were also aesthetically pleasing which made posting to the Gram very easy. The staff was very friendly from entry to closing out the bill. Our server checked on us frequently and kept the drinks fresh. Our dinner was early at 5:30PM but soon the dinner rush came in. The excellent service for our table didn't let up in any way. AyAyAy is a great contemporary Mexican restaurant that resembles something you'd come across on the Las Vegas Strip. I've driven past Ay Ay Ay Mexican Cuisine so many times and never thought much of it from the outside, but once you step in, it has a really cool, welcoming vibe. We started with the tableside guacamole, which was fresh, well-balanced, and a great way to kick things off. I ordered the pescado a la veracruzana, and it was cooked perfectly tender fish with bold, well-layered flavors that all came together beautifully. We also tried the camarones al mojo de ajo, which were seasoned and flavored extremely well, rich without being overpowering. The restaurant is well done inside, a smooth vibe like I'm back in Cabo kinda feels. We always enjoy prompt and courteous service and today was no different. We got the table (in our case bar) side service guacamole. You can make it however you like and it's fantastic! She got the al pastor tacos, and me...2 quesabirria tacos with enough cheese to make me feel like I've got a farm of cheese! So tasty, and greasy, and fabulous! I would recommend not getting the salsa and chips and you don't get that free here. The only knock on this place would be that. Get the guacamole instead which comes with chips.
