I want to start with this is now my Husband's and I favorite mexican restaurant! we have been coming here for a while now and I have been trying different plates each time! There has not been one thing that I have ordered here and disliked. Not all items we have tried are pictured, just a few. Everything has been super delicious and tastes more homemade and not commercialized. Everyone is always very friendly and Tony usually takes our order. He is fantastic! The ambiance there is chill, beautiful and clean! As I mentioned everyone is super nice and friendly and all the food has been super delicious so far!

Ever since Coyotes closed we've been in search of a new favorite Mexican restaurant. This one is close to home. The three of us went for dinner. It's very charming inside and clean. The restrooms were very clean too. I loved the decor. Plenty of room and tables. Our son had the carne asada and he said the beef was amazingly tender. He liked the taste as well. They didn't have a combination fajita for 2 on the menu but said they could do it. We decided to just get our own. I had the shrimp fajita and my husband had a combination of beef and shrimp. The shrimp was small and overcooked. He said the beef was good but there wasn't much flavor to the dish. I absolutely agree. Overall it was very bland. We had nachos with beef for an appetizer. That was the best part of the meal! Very tasty and huge! The meals also came with a cup of soup. It was happy hour so my husband had a blended margarita in a small glass for $8.00. There wasn't any happy hour food specials. The service was excellent. I was going to leave 3 stars but my son says it deserves 4. I'll let the 4 stars but we are still searching for our new favorite Mexican restaurant.

This is one of those little restaurants that I call a hidden Jewel. I had never known about it nor heard about this restaurant until some friends decide to take us there. The inside is really clean and very colorful. It's great when you have a Mexican restaurant that really embraces the heritage. In addition to that, the food was amazing! I got the two item combo, a shredded beef taco and a shredded beef enchilada. Here's the hot tip, make sure you get both the red sauce and the green sauce on your enchilada. You will not be disappointed! Of course, what would dinner be without dessert. Regardless of where I am in the world, if I am at a Mexican restaurant I have to try the flan. This flan was really creamy and good! Bottom line? Do you need to add this amazing restaurant to your repertoire.

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday to Viva Michoacan. The restaurant has plenty of seating and has a bar at one end. We were seated right away. They still provide complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip. The service is really good. The food seemed a little under seasoned. Overall it was a good experience.

Stopped by midweek after work, had a refreshing Jamaica hibiscus margarita with chamoy and Tajin around the rim. I had went in thinking I would get enchiladas, but they had a variety of shrimp options, I went with the Bacon wrapped jumbo Shrimp "Abuelito Timo" with rice & beans, spicy creamy dipping sauce, and side soup cup of thin noodle tomato broth (my favorite forgot to take a pic, I could get a bowl of it!) New family run restaurant, super cozy it feels like home, yet also cute lighting for a date, and they have the bar area as well. Service was attentive and they were quick to seat. Plenty of parking in the lot. Already wanna come back and try the other dishes soon.

1st visit to this new addition to the neighborhood, and It was a very pleasant experience experience. The service was great, the food was tasty and the beer was served in a frosted mug. I had the Chilaquiles, with eggs and carne asada. It was a large portion, with a steak bigger than any place I have seen lately for this dish. Well with the $$. I'll have to try the chile relleno next time.

The food was exceptional, the service was amazing and the ambiance was nostalgic, clean and beautiful. This is def my new fav place for authentic Mexican food. I will def be here at least once a week!

We just discovered this local spot and are so delighted at the food, service, and the vibe! We enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and table-side guacamole, the carne asada chimichanga, and our favorite: Enchiladas Michoacán. Wow. All we can say is on portion size, flavor and taste. Happy Hour margaritas are just the extra treat, but the true gift is the welcoming atmosphere and staff who ensure your experience is memorable. Definitely visit this hidden gem.

Grandmas birthday dinner at Viva Michoacan! Hands down amazing!

My husband and I have this restaurant on repeat for our date nights. The staff is consistently professional and efficient, ensuring every visit is seamless. On top of the great service, the food is outstanding! The atmosphere perfectly captures the spirit of a Mexican restaurant while remaining incredibly comfortable. We recently celebrated my mom's 84th birthday with about 40 people and they handled us fantastically.

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

I don't understand how this place even has the rating they do. We got tricked. I've had better food at McDonalds breakfast. Anyways, we came in with no wait, seated immediately. The place was not busy, maybe 6 tables total. Glass cups: DIRTY. We had 2 different servers, the 2nd one: Condescending. He had asked us if we were ready to order and we said yes, thinking he was going to take it: he walked away! And took 2 tables orders that came in AFTER us that took at least 10 min and then came back to take our order. Our tea was ordered right from the get go but came AFTER our food arrived. I ordered the deviled eggs: NO FLAVOR. It was actually interesting, it was half heated up and half cold in the middle and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Wife ordered biscuits and gravy: EGGSHELLS INCLUDED. Wife explained the dish was barely warm, like they tried warming it up in the microwave and didn't taste good at all. We think the best thing on the menu was the hot tea we ordered, which was store bought. Service, never even got asked if our food was okay. Barely got our food and not even 2 min later, check was brought to us with nothing said. Just PLOPPED on the table next to us to take care of. I've been to 8 states and this place is in my top 3 of worst places I've ever been to. If I could give it a negative star, surely I would. Im a pretty easy going person, I give chances and understand even if a server is having a bad day. This place was purely a fail. "Oh no! What could improve?" Yelp ask: EVERYTHING.

We were enjoying the music and it was a vibe until it came to pay the bill. At 9:30 PM, a full 30 minutes before the posted closing time of 10:00 PM, the staff began rushing us out while my wife was still eating. When it came time to pay our bill, our bank cards were temporarily unavailable due to a system outage. We had the money. This was not a financial issue. It was a technical one we were actively working to resolve. Instead of being given a moment, security surrounded our table and treated us as though we were attempting to leave without paying. We were not. We never attempted to leave. I want to note that a couple of the security members were actually kind and professional throughout. A manager then approached with immediate hostility white male, tattoos, wearing a white crop shirt, and beige pants) no introduction, and no interest in hearing our explanation. I want to Emphasize That everyone working there refused to give me his name (white male) I even attempted to ask him and he walked away. He made demeaning remarks about our finances and specifically told us that if we didn't pay, he would call the police and trespass us, but if we paid, he would not. We paid. My brother sent $30 via Zelle directly to a security staff member to settle the bill. It was paid in full. He called the police anyway. And trespassed us anyway. I had offered to leave my ID as collateral, leave card information on file, or return the next morning. Every offer was refused before we even got to that point. The responding officers acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate. His own staff was visibly uncomfortable. Unless you are prepared to be treated as a suspect over something completely outside your control, I would think twice before dining here.

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.
