I found Sarah looking up and reading reviews on salons in my area on Yelp, (there's quite a few with intriguing names) and I AM SOOOO HAPPY I read carefully. Sarah was very honest, kind, and upfront about what she was going to do, how long it would take, and approximately how much she was charging and why. In the last two years I've recently sprouted w/white hair and I have been looking to highlight my whole head for quite some time now. I have thick long dark brown/black hair (virgin hair is what she said I have b/c it's w/out coloring). I knew my hair wasn't going to be cheap, but you don't want to get a cheap job done and you want someone with experience, those are both worth the price. I decided to only do a partial highlight job and am super satisfied with each step Sarah took to make it come out the way it did. As my wife and I came for our appointments.. Wife got her hair colored and cut by Mona who was bleaching her hair and left it on longer then the timer was set. My wife felt the heat from the bleach on her head and all she did was put a tissue between her forehead and the foil and dismissed the timer. Now her scalp is scabbed and her hair is fried and breaking. I came in for a pedicure and haircut/donation. I paid for the $37.00 pedicare, not the basic. I think her name was Nina (didn't speak English, supposively the "best" from what the owner Alicia said) that was doing my pedicure, was so stuck to her phone instead of actually taking care of me. I was irritated and annoyed, because I am paying you for your service. I understand that it could of been an emergency, but you was to busy watching and texting on your phone instead of taking care of "Me, the paying customer". I'm sorry but I could of went to the hood paid $20.00 and got a better pedicure. Just saying. Today 5/24/21, we spoke with the owner Alicia, about the situation. She clearly, wasn't trying to hear us out, owner stated "I will talk to them both" you can see my scalp is peeling. I came in with outgrown nails, looking for a fill. This was my first time at this salon. I was recommended by a friend. The fill was $28. My nails are "mood changing" Good points: I loved how much time and effort was put into my nails. It didn't feel rushed at all. She was able to take out the color from the gel, reshape my nails from almond to coffin, and thin out my nails. I LOVE the way she thinned out the gel from my precious nails, bc they were way too chunky. Sad points: My cuticles were not touched at all, not even pushed back or trimmed. Sarah is by far the BEST color, color correctionest & highlight artist in the greater Sacramento area. She has created amazing transformations with both mine and my daughters hair! I have never received so many compliments on my hair, then I have since she started doing my & my daughters hair! The shop is in a strip mall (don't let that scare you) and it's right next to a Starbucks (super convenient). I recommend making a reservation because there are multiple hair & nail stylists that always make you feel like family. Sarah is my go- to for hair. Bridiga is the make-up & eyelash perm queen & Katie does amazing nails - just to mention a few of them! The only criticism I could give is that the shampoo bowls are really not made for tall people but the good news is that they now have foot stools that help alot! read more

Literally the worst pedicure I've received! She barely scrubbed my feet left nail polish all over my toes and didn't give the massage that was apart of my pedicure package. When I asked about the massage she said she did it when she put the oil on my legs. One pass over of basically applying oil to my skin no massaging what so ever. read more

I made an appointment with Alyssa at Aye Salon. She has a really cute and humble salon located in Laguna. Her shop is purple (my favorite color!) and it was very easy on the eyes. Simple and clean with 2 tvs to keep ourselves entertained. Alyssa was very attentive to what I wanted. I asked for certain colors and she went ahead and showed me the colors that she had. She also helped me yank out a few stubborn white hair that I could never reach! We had a few conversations about the worst haircut I've had, to colors that looks good and not good. SERVICE I come here to get pedicures. I like that it's next door to Starbucks so I have my bux while I'm getting a service :) The nail technicians go above and beyond to accomodate my nail requests. I usually ask for things difficult, like a bunny on my big toe or a pumpkin, depending on the season. They take their time to do that for me and it's greatly appreciated. They could just tell me that they cannot. Also, I bring my 2 year old with me and they are very sweet and accommodating to her. It's convenient and very nice to be able to bring her with me. This review is specifically for Khou. I got my hair done with her and I don't even know where to begin. I got a full balayage and from the pictures you can see what I asked for and what I got. When I left the salon it looked better and not as blonde but after 3 weeks it just kept lightening to the point where it was basically blonde. She pretty much bleached my whole head and that is not what I asked for. It took 6 hours and cost me $450, my hair is very thin but somehow I was charged extra for the extra bowls. I couldn't stand it after a few weeks and went to another salon to get it fixed. They said she really messed up and that the only reason it took 6 hours was because she messed up and had to go back and try and fix it. I had to pay $150 to get it fixed so I'm total I spent $600 and my hair is just dark brown now. I asked her for a partial refund and she gave me $75. I will never be back. read more

I've been coming here for probably over a year now and it's my happy relaxation oasis. I always go to Katie and she's awesome at what she does. She always takes care of my nails and makes them super cute. I suffer from ingrown toe nails and she's always able to get them out safely with out the pain. They are super sanitary here and always use sterilized products for every customer. It's a full service salon where you can get a wax, haircut, color, nails, etc. The owner Alyssa is super talented and friendly and makes it a fun and inviting environment. I had a gift card from a fundraiser my sons school put on. I Googled this place, and found I could schedule an appointment online! It showed all their services, the estimated time needed and even had starting pricing. This was so convenient and I really appreciated it. The woman who helped me, Nani, was gentle and patient. Her attention to detail was exceptional. She had quite a bit of damage to make up for because I'd gone to a different nail shop previously and that experience was great at first, until I realized that it was all the way down to my skin! It ended up lifting, and catching my hair all the time. Nani carefully shaped, filed, and buffed my nails to perfection! I am so happy with them. She spoke enough English to do her job, but I do wish I'd been better able to communicate with her. She's a very sweet lady and like I said, attentive, and delicate, and it's natural to want to talk with someone you're sitting with for over an hour, you know? I wanted to treat myself to a mani/pedi before I headed to Vegas, and browsed Groupon for a deal. Aye Salon was the one closest to me with the best reviews. I bought the $25 gel manicure/basic pedicure deal since I've never gotten the gel done before. I forgot the name of the girl who did my mani/pedi, but she seemed really amateur. The pedicure was indeed really basic and short, nothing to praise. The manicure, however, was terrible. She shaped my nails horribly and the length/shape was inconsistent. I repeatedly asked her to fix them, and she would try. Ultimately, I ended up just asking for the file to fix my nails myself after I washed my hands. The paint job was sloppy and kept getting on to my skin. She kept having to dig her nails into my nail bed to scrape the paint out. It was seriously the most terrible manicure I've ever received. I probably could have done a better job than she did. Gel manicures are supposed to last awhile (1-2 weeks, I think but I'm not sure), but mine started chipping within 3 days. I came in for hair color and showed a picture of the hair color I wanted to the owner and the stylist. I said, "I want my hair like this" and the owner responded, "well your hair doesn't look like that." (Duh, that's why I'm paying you to make my hair look like that). The owner was rude for giving attitude, that just shows she's unprofessional. I asked for a quote, the owner quoted me $60. I also told them I have the 20% check-in offer (big mistake). Five hours later, my hair was finally done and was told my total was $90....uhhhh I thought it was $60 when I came in and sat down...now it's $30 more dollars. That made no sense. Now any other day I would have complained or made a comment, but my stylist was nice and she made my hair look as closely as possible as the picture I brought in. I know the added $30 was the work of the owner (perhaps trying to get the 20% back?) My point is, don't quote me something when I walked in and after I'm done charge me more for the service. Especially, since it took your staff 5 freaggin' hours to dye my hair one color...if anything you should be paying me! I would understand if I asked for additional service but I didn't soOoo?? That wasn't cool or professional. All in all, I paid $90 and even gave my stylist a tip. The stylist was good, but the owner just walks around like she doesn't need to be in business. I wouldn't come back here or tell anyone else I know to come here. Not a credible place. I feel sorry for the stylists. This was not a Groupon deal, it was a check-in on yelp offer as I had mentioned in my initial review. Obviously if you feel your staff are underpaid then be a better boss and pay them a normal wage, don't expect customers to make up for their pity earnings by sneaking an increased price on a quoted hair color. How embarrassing. I mentioned that you were the one that was rude when I showed you and your stylist a picture of what I wanted and you were the one who quoted me the $60 and if anything changed from the moment I sat down and you walked away, then that should have been shared with me before the processing began. I think any customer would appreciate that, instead of getting a surprise at the end. I gave your salon a try and that was all it was, a try. I'm not going to be a returning customer or boast about your salon (if that's what you're looking for). Just a tip, be honest with your quote and service. I bought the Groupon for AYE a while back. I made an appointment with Alyssa since I heard so many good things about her and went in about 5 minutes early. As soon as I arrived some girl there (possibly Alyssa?) told me that I would have to wait for another 30 minutes. Uhhh what's the point of an appointment then? So I just left. I went back about one month later with an appointment and showed up early again. This time it wasn't for Alyssa, but just with anyone available since I wanted to get the Groupon out of the way. An older Asian woman helped me. I didn't want to tell her I had a Groupon because I knew she wouldn't perform her best if she knew. However, her first question was how I was going to pay. I found that extremely rude and irrelevant. Since she now knew I was paying with a Groupon, she breezed through my nails. I got a basic pedicure and gel manicure. The nail polish of my pedicure came off that night. And my gel manicure looked good at first, but one week later I noticed she didn't even push my cuticles back and the nail polish started to rise. I usually go to Laguna Day Spa for manicures where I have NEVER had this issue. Laguna Day Spa also uses the same brand of Gel so that makes me wonder what AYE does differently, maybe water down their formula? I would definitely never go back to AYE. Horrible service and results. Maybe they handle non-Grouponers better? The older Asian woman was very sweet though (regardless of asking how I would be paying) and the place was rather clean so I gave them 2 stars. read more

On weekends she sometimes does mimosas when you have certain services which is really fun! She always takes her time and makes sure my nails are perfect.
