I had such an amazing experience with Aynur. Right after my first appointment, I knew I was in great hands. She has an impeccable attention to detail which led to my dress fitting like an absolute glove. Aynur is also so patient, kind and dedicated. I had customization requests for two types of detachable sleeves using extra fabric and lace I had - cap sleeve (pictured) and long sleeves. I shared with her my vision and she worked with me to manifest it. I really enjoyed working with Aynur to make my wedding dress perfect for me. She was attentive to details and every appointment ran smoothly. Aynur was recommended by the bridal shop where I purchased my dress (Brides by Young). I think her work was high quality and exact, and helped me feel comfortable for my whole wedding day. When I took my dress there, I believe I had less than 8 weeks to have alterations completed. I also wanted to add another layer of tulle to my dress. I had seams taken in in the bodice and straps, the length was hemmed for my wedding shoes height, and added cups, a bustle, and a layer of tulle. Aynur also steamed the dress for pick up so it was ready for the big event. I was surprised at how the cost compared to what other brides have shared with me. I took the recommendation from the shop and did not shop around at all. When I was given the cost after the first appointment, I was sticker shocked, but did not feel I had time to change my mind. I am so happy to have had Aynur work on my wedding dress. She was recommended to me by the bridal shop where I bought the dress and it turned out she was located just a few minutes from me! Right from the start, it was already working out great! I had to buy the dress in a much larger size in order for it to fit my bust so there was going to be a lot of work in order to take it in around the waist, adjust the hemline and create the bustle. In addition, it was a strapless gown and I wanted to wear it without a bra so Aynur also recommended putting in additional boning for more support. In the end, the dress fit like a glove! It felt like a whole new dress once she completed the work. It was exactly what I imagined I wanted to look like on my wedding day. She was also able to help adjust the dress my mother was planning to wear for the big day. She bought a dress off the rack and it needed some adjustments at the shoulder and the hemline. They were able to add her in for an appointment following one of my fittings so they can have her try it on and make note of the changes needed. Aynur also made some recommendations on how we could style her jacket so the dress would still shine. She had some really great ideas that we loved and we were able to pick up both our dresses on the same day once the work was done. Aynur's Alterations is hands down the BEST! Not only is she kind and welcoming, she's also AMAZING at what she does! During my first visit I found out she had been a full time seamstress for the past 30 years and is now her own boss working out of her home. I absolutely adore her and her boss moves! She made me feel extremely comfortable and her confidence simply assured me I was in excellent hands. She quickly understood my vision and was extremely accommodating. Price-wise I feel that it was very reasonable for ALL the work that had to be done to my dress. She managed to take in the waist, bust, shoulders, back, added cups, hemmed, added boning, steamed, bustled, and even bustled my cathedral veil. (yall I didn't even know that was a thing!!!) My first fitting was the longest as my dress had to be taken in a good amount however the second fitting was to make sure no additional changes needed to be done...the third/final appointment was just to pick up the dress, pressed and ready to go! At this time the payment was due; she only accepts cash or Zelle. The entire process from start to finish took about a month (1-2 wks between appointments) Unfortunately my wedding was affected by COVID19 and thus had to postpone it to August 21st therefore I'm unable to share the photos however, I'll be back to show you her wonderful work! Aynur is a life saver! I have a beautiful dress, but my other alterations fell through last minute. About 6 weeks before the wedding, I reached out to Aynur after seeing her Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did! She got me in within a week, was so kind on the phone and even nicer in person! Once at the first fitting once I had the dress on, she told me the different things she'd alter and the price she'd charge. I agreed with her price and she went straight to work, pinning everything and cutting where she needed to. I watched my dress come back to life and she fit it to my body (it was way too big.) At my second fitting, I went into it assuming it would still need a few minor things but NOPE. Altered the bodice to shorten it, removed beading under the armpit and added fabric to prevent underarm chafing, and added sheer fabric to the neckline to bring it up higher. You can tell she is very organized and clean, as she takes great care of her home, and accordingly your dress. Aynur altered one of my bridesmaids dresses and we were shocked at how much better it looked after. She also altered my wedding gown, removing the bust from the skirt which made it fit me much better. Aynur even sewed in a monogrammed heart from an Aunt at no extra cost. At my final fitting everything was perfect, but the bra cups still had to be sewn in. I'm sure it was a very rare oversight, but when I went to wear my dress on my wedding day, only one boobie was sewn in! (I thought maybe it fell out, but it should have been sewn in well enough for it not to) Being a plunge front, strapless, low back dress I had tried ten different bras and nothing worked, so this was a pretty big deal... She was so patient and answered all my questions about alterations, made helpful recommendations, and ultimately did beautiful work. She hemmed my dress and created a bustle, and stitched up a rip in my mother's veil from the '70s. Everything was very reasonably priced. Her daughter handles payment and scheduling, and it was very heartwarming to work with a mother/daughter duo. I felt that my dress and veil were in very good hands with both of them. Aynur even accommodated a last-minute request to hem my mother's dress for the wedding. The dress was beaded and it couldn't have been easy to hem but her pricing was beyond reasonable.
