We stayed here about a week and a half after being evacuated due to the El Dorado fire. The staff was so wonderful and accommodating, the place was always so clean and comfortable. It had a desk and GREAT internet (my daughter continued her distance learning while we were there). The room also came with a fridge/freezer and microwave! Our room was right outside the pool and surprisingly you hear no noise! Breakfast each morning was delicious. They have a laundry room also and sell the detergent and dryer sheets at the front, which was so helpful! Definitely somewhere I would stay again if needed and definitely a place I'd recommend to friends and family! read more

The staff was courteous and the hotel looked nice, but I ended up in a room with bed bugs. Currently my face and arm are swollen and covered in bites. The staff did move us within minutes, and given that it was after midnight when I felt the bites, I had little choice but to accept the move. Stayed at this location for the first time this week. I gotta day it's so cute. They serve wine, cheese in the evening for guests to relax by the pool or their our door sitting area. We were in the area for NASCAR. Our friends that we were traveling with picked this hotel, and we were very happy with their choice! The employees at the front desk were excellent. Very friendly and helpful! When I asked for directions to restaurants and recommendations for mini golf, the gal working the desk went above and beyond, giving me several choices and printing directions for me. Very much appreciate the excellent and friendly service! The King room we got was large and beautiful! Couch in room was very nice since we were staying for 3 nights. Mini-refrigerator and microwave were great perks as well. This was a very nice room. Small complaints: remote control for TV - channel up button wouldn't work. An annoyance, however small it would seem. Also, the closet isn't big enough to easily stow your suitcase. Again, small annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. Beautiful outdoor area with pool and hot tub and very inviting tables and seating set up. I wanted to just hang out in this area! Hot breakfast was a step up from standard continental breakfast offerings. All the things you expect: cereal, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, toast, waffles, etc. They also have hot breakfast offerings: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage. This was a nice option to have! They offer coin operated laundry facilities on-site also. Really pleased with the service and the value from this hotel. I don't usually like to give negative reviews but in this case I will provide some feedback and hopefully the hotel will read this and maybe take some action. We stayed in Redlands overnight because we went to dinner with family and didn't want to drive all the way home to Orange County. We choose Ayers because of a good rate and its location to the restaurant. We had to book a room on the first floors since there was nothing else available First off, the rooms is fine. The bed is good and it was clean. Most everything was good until we went to bed. We were asleep for a little while and then were woken up by a lot of drunken noise coming from right outside our room. We thought it was no big deal and it would end soon once they got to their respective rooms. This was not the case. The loud talking and laughing kept going for over an hour. I finally called the front desk at around 1:00 AM to complain. The person that answered said that there was a large wedding close by and these people were part of this party. I said that is fine but the noise has been going on for over an hour and that the front desk should have already told them to be quiet or go to their rooms. He then told me that the last shuttle had just arrived from the wedding. I said again, that this noise had already been going on for a long time. He ended up saying he would talk to them and he did. I heard him tell them that there were complaints and they needed to be quiet. The continued to party right outside the rooms and making the same noises for over another half hour when I guess finally other guests complained. He finally told them that he was going to turn off the lights and that they were welcome to go into the hotel dining room. FINALLY, they went somewhere else and it was quiet. It then took me another half hour to fall asleep. Needless to say, I'll not go back since their service levels don't seem to care about guests getting any sleep. read more

Warning: do not stay at this hotel. My friends and I had our stuff stolen while we were gone. We had only two keys to our room both of which were on us while we left the room, we also made sure the door was locked before we left. Came back to find out half of our valuables were stolen, no sign of forced entry from the door so it's obvious it's poor negligence/security on the hotels part! Someone had access to our room. Hotel staff told us they can't really do much to help us and didn't sound empathetic towards our situation at all. The whole situation just seems sketchy. I have stayed here twice. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The lady who cleaned my room, Rosie, was very courteous and she didn't think twice when I asked for more conditioner. I stayed here in August 2021 and had a great experience.  I've stayed in many hotels all over the world and this is actually one of the nicest in this price range. The rooms were clean and spacious, not to mention the vaulted ceilings, and the bed was comfortable.  My room also had a large TV, desk, sofa, and table and mosaic tiles in the bathroom.  The staff were friendly and very helpful when I needed anything.  I greatly enjoyed their complimentary breakfast, including the omelet bar.  I had a few friends also staying here and they were happy with their experience too.  Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Redlands! read more

As far as the hotel goes, it is one of the nicer places to stay in the Redlands area. The rooms are roomy and clean with air conditioning. My family and I enjoyed the pool while we were there, but when we tried to get in the jacuzzi the smell coming from it and the color of the water were extremely off-putting. We got out immediately. The morning breakfast is also a nice touch. The staff and customer service is where I have issue with this establishment. A few hours after we had left the hotel, I realized I left behind my neck pillow. Upon this realization I immediately called the front desk. The man I spoke with assured me that they would retrieve my pillow and have it ready for pickup when we came back through Redlands a week later. Fast forward one week, my husband went in to pick up my pillow and it was chaos. The didn't have a key to the lost and found, the head of housekeeping had the day off, they had no idea what pillow we were talking about. We were told several times that they would call us with updates. We received no calls. We finally spoke to their most helpful employee, Marissa, and she told us that the pillow may have been sent off to be laundered. Several phone calls and an unanswered email later, no pillow. So frustrated with the process. Feel like I called within a reasonable amount of time for them to find my pillow and hold it for me. Our daughter got married this past weekend up in Oak Glen the Homestead at Wiltshire Ranch we stumbled upon the Ayers One weekday we booked 25 rooms For our guest. The manager was so sweet when we were concerned about a place to have our daughters make up and hair done with the rest of the bridal party That she offered their conference room where it was air-conditioned and plenty of room! The breakfast is not just a stale bagel and a little container of cream cheese it is a real breakfast I want a waffle maker like that now in my house! We stayed for two nights. The rooms were very spacious! We stayed on the first floor near the pool. It wasn't loud and I couldn't hear any people walking by, next to us, or on top of us. Staff were friendly and professional. There was plenty of parking. The breakfast had a wide variety of food to chose from. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. They only things that I rated it lower for is that staff told me that the pool was heated - and it was not! The carpets had stains which are super gross to see when staying at a hotel. Lastly, my young daughter was able to find small things that belonged to other people on the floor because it was not vacuumed up well under the bed. The hotel is nicely maintained and the room was very spacious and recently remodeled. It was nicer than expected given the reasonable room rate. Unfortunately the black-out curtains did not close enough to cover the window, so the morning sun shone directly onto the bed. THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A 5 STAR HOTEL. I mean, it is even nicer than a lot of 5 star hotels I have stayed at! I bid on priceline so ended up paying such a small price for such a beautiful hotel! I was definitely impressed! The beds were super comfortable! The rooms were very spacious and very clean! Plus there is a microwave and fridge! The inside of the hotel looks exactly like it does in the pictures! They had complimentary breakfast---and no, it was not your typical juice and pastries. They did have that plus bagels, plus fresh fruit, plush waffles, plus a chef cooking up omelettes with your favorite toppings, eggs to your liking, sausage, potatoes, etc! So my daughter gets stranded with car trouble in Redlands. She looks across the street from the car place and sees a motel. I look it up on Yelp, there are photos of roaches and ants and complaints about management. Nope. So we expand the search, and soon come to Ayres Hotel Redlands, with more than 4 stars. I call, Ayres has a room, the staff is courteous and helpful, looking good! So I ask to book a room. Uh-oh, the hotel has a strict "Must show the credit card and ID at check-in" policy. I ask to speak to the manager, to explain my plight. The manager is out, but the desk clerk calls to ask. Sorry, strict policy. I'm not letting my daughter sleep in the roach infested place down the road. I call Ayers corporate and explain the situation. A few minutes later, I get a call from the Redlands manager. They've decided to grant a one-time exemption to the credit card in hand policy and let me pay over the phone! Woo-hoo! My daughter checked in at Ayers a few hours ago. She just sent me a text. "This hotel is super nice thank you! We walked in and were like wow!" Everyone is happy. Thank you management for being so flexible! read more

I booked this hotel based partially on the following; previous Yelp ratings, price point ($113 per night with Auto Club discount), pictures of the facility and the fact that they provided free breakfast. I called to book my room because call me old fashion but I don't like doing everything over the Internet. They were extremely pleasant and as standard practice sent me an email to confirm my reservation. When I checked in the front desk was very helpful and courteous. I did not realize it when booking the room but room doors open up into the outside. As a woman traveling only sometimes that is a challenge but my room opened up into the pool area so I felt pretty safe. The room was GREAT! It was very big with a couch, desk, chair, microwave, small refrigerator/freezer, flat screen TV, great bathroom and all the normal stuff. Bed was great & my wake-up call was prompt. The Manager's reception wasn't outstanding. It was ok; they had bottled beer, wine, cheese, crackers & snack mix. I had brought my own snacks so I wasn't disappointed. The morning morning breakfast was fabulous! They had your typical yogurt and oatmeal. They also had wonderful cinnamon rolls and pastries. They had scrambled eggs, great bacon and breakfast potatoes.. YUMMY!! In my rush to pack and leave I left behind my personal pillow. Housekeeping found it and they are mailing it back to me. If I have to travel again to this area I would DEFINITELY stay here again. read more

We stayed 4 nights. When we got to he hotel, there's a note at the desk saying they only clean rooms every 3rd day. Nothing in the confirmation mentioned not cleaning the rooms. Everyone seems to use COVID as an excuse but no one in the hotel wore a mask. We had to go to the desk to get towels, TP, tissues, coffee because our room wasn't cleaned. We got a trash bag to set the trash in the hall. The recycling was not picked up until cleaning day. The brass rail in the elevator was gross. Wasn't wiped until the 3rd day. There was a spill on the patio that wasn't mopped up until the 3rd day. For $184 a night, I expected better. The full breakfast was very good. Omelettes to order, eggs, bacon sausage and more. And the second day, the hot tub was unavailable. I won't stay there again. read more

My spouse had surgery at Loma Linda Hospital. They had a list of hotels near the facility so I booked Ayres online. It had a quote of $136/night so I booked 2 nights. We checked in and spent the first night ... didn't even stay the second night as I ended up staying at the hospital. Called the front desk as I rushed to get our suitcase and they said to leave keycards on table and they'd check me out. So far ... so good. I got my VISA bill the next day and they charged me almost $170 for first night and $185 for the second night! I called and they said the online system is separate than the hotel system...? But, I booked online from THEIR WEBSITE not a third party. To me it's fraud and unethical... room was fine ... adding to my booked online costs was dishonest. Don't trust them! read more

Found this hotel on Hotels.com while planning a trip to Big Bear over the Christmas Holiday vacation. I would have to say this is the best hotel for the price in this area. We thought the location under the freeway would make it noisy during the night, but it wasn't. The rooms were updated and large with high ceilings. Flat screen, king size bed, fridge, microwave, coffee, iron, etc.. Customer service was excellent despite the long wait for some TP in the morning :). Anyhow, complimentary breakfast is a full breakfast bar and at night they have complimentary beer/wine & snacks. The wine is cheap, but the gesture was very nice after coming back our trip up Big Bear Mtn. Heated swimming pool jacuzzi and workout center makes this hotel the best bang for the buck! It felt like we were staying at a resort. Let's just say my kids were looking forward to going back to the room after a long day of tubing, sledding, and snow games just to jump on the bed basically bounce off the walls I would definitely book another stay here when we're in the area read more

A really, really nice hotel, especially for the price. The happy hour alone is worth the stay. From 5 to 7 have some wine, beer, cheese with grapes or chips and salsa... A pool with hot tub/ jacuzzi. Great made-to-order breakfast omelets. A gym. Well equipped, clean rooms (some even have fireplaces). Nice Spanish- inspired decor. Grill by the pool. Helpful staff. Some of the provided toiletries are biodegradable. Walking distance to restaurants. Definitely the best hotel in the area. Super beautiful rooms, I stayed in one of the fireplace rooms. Everything is fully equipped for your extended stay. Everyone, except the girl checking me was extremely friendly. Redlands is so beautiful, it is a shame that the hotel is surrounded by the ghetto... Their complimentary breakfast was actually really tasty, and as we all know, I love food. Now the downside was the girl checking me in. I was there for a wedding, and my mom had called prior to make the reservation leaving her CC on file. Well, when I got to the hotel they were asking for the CC and the CC Authorization form which we were never told about. Unfortunately my mom was still like two hours away, and my car was full of a suit, flowers, etc.. so instead of offering me a coffee or a water, they said well we can't check you in. It's our policy. So I waited around, and then as I saw my boutonniere wilting I asked to refrigerate it. She then replied with, "I don't know think we do that." read more

We we're going to a graduation in san bernadino and needed a place to spend the night. I decided on the redlands area because it would put us near the oranges that come put of the mentone area. I took advantage of yelps 15% discount and booked at ayres. Only one night, but here our my observations. Positives: you can get most of your money back by having there breakfast. There breakfast for 2 would have easily cost me $40 to $50 at a restaurant. Highlights were the omelets and the little walnut cinnamon rolls. They have coffee, fountain drinks and cookies all day. Nice outside patio to eat, talk, relax, etc. Very secure rooms on the second floor. Nice room with a comfortable bed. Check out at noon Free paper Easy check in and check out Quiet rooms Close to the freeway Negatives: air conditioner only worked with the on and off switch. I had to get up at 2.am to shut it off. At midnight we could not figure out how to shut the drapes. We ended up with only the thin drapes up and the room was lit up by the outside lighting. The absolute worst service I've ever had at a hotel. Wanna tell me why I had to wait 55 minutes for a TOGO breakfast?? Absolutely ridiculous. We put in our papers (orders) in and others that came after us started to put theirs on top of ours. They start making the orders from the top and when we bring up we've been there longer, they disregard it. Rude people, horrible transition. They claim it's due to Covid yet no changes are enforced. Half the people in there do not have their masks on and no one enforces it. No hand sanitizers in sight and the place doesn't seem sanitary. They do not care for the safety of their guests we definitely won't be back. read more

Had to stay in hotel for soccer tournament and didn't want to stay in San Bernardino. Found this one and it lived up to it's ratings. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Everyhting in the room worked very well. Wi-fi worked without glitch in room as well. Breakfast was pretty good- omelette's to order, cereal, juice, yougurt, potatoes. Staff was helpful. I told them someone had dropped M&M's near the elevator and they immediately went up and cleaned them. Hotel was very quiet. They have a BBQ to use which was nice but we didn't use and they also have an outside fireplace near the pool. Overall one of the quaintest and quietest hotels I've stayed at in awhile. well worth the stay. read more
