5-stars. Everything turned out great in this 3-floor single building. I really enjoyed staying here in this part of Diamond Bar, California. Excellent customer service staffs. Parking was free/included in per night stay. Lot was huge and never crowded. Not far from Target store and gas stations & Hannam World Market Korean grocery store before heading onto freeway. There's a swimming pool in back/far right side. Complimentary full breakfast buffet included. Happy hour snacks (chips/dips/salsa/crackers/etc.) in lobby between 5pm-7pm Mondays-Thursdays are free for all guests/check daily schedule. It's been a very well organized stay with views of golf course from bedroom window. Gym on 3rd floor. The employees cleaning up the rooms have the nicest personalities and manners. Well trained maintenance. Clean and comfortable plus spacious. Fully satisfied. Driving from hotel to 10-minutes east on Grand Ave. can get you to a nicer part of Chino Hills. From hotel to 10-minutes west on Golden Springs will get you closer towards Asian foodie town/Rowland Heights. Another 10-minutes north on Brea Canyon will get you to City of Industry shopping retail areas. Easy and convenient distances. 20-minutes to Westfield shopping mall-Plaza West Covina. We stayed in a King bedroom which was very spacious to walk around. Closet was small, but there are plenty of drawers in room for personal items storage. Microwave and refrigerator are well maintained and clean. That refrigerator really kept foods and beverages icy cold daily. At least there's a sink and counter there by living room table and leather couch. Window and lighting was excellent. Who doesn't want to wake up looking at goals/golfers/sand box/golf carts? Peaceful and quiet. Felt like a private neighborhood of its own. We will be revisiting. Great area. Ayres Suites Diamond Bar stands out compared to other neighboring hotels. This hotel was more disappointing than the Ayres one in Chino Hills!! First one we got a king size suite and it came with no couch. More egregiously, their tvs are NOT smart tvs & have no streaming capability!! In this century??? There was also a horrible smell right outside my room that kept entering. read more

Don't overlook this hotel. This is a fantastic find with a super convenient location right off the 60 freeway where the 57 meets the 60 -- easy on, easy off, no stress. Rooms are spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The A/C worked flawlessly (huge win), and the room comes equipped with a refrigerator, coffee pot, and a safe. Bonus points for the excellent shower water pressure -- details matter. The pool area on the east side of the property is clean and inviting and overlooks a beautifully maintained golf course, which makes it feel far more relaxing and upscale than your typical freeway hotel. EV drivers will appreciate the on-site charging, and parking is plentiful and free -- something that's becoming rare. Service here truly stands out. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming -- exactly what you want when traveling. And let's talk about the complimentary breakfast. This wasn't your typical sad hotel spread. The eggs were real eggs, and the pancakes were genuinely delicious and you can make your own waffles. Bottom line: great location, great service, great value. If you're traveling through the area, do yourself a favor and take advantage of this hotel -- it's a smart, comfortable stay at a very fair price. read more

This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. The room smelled like smoke and because of my asthma I was coughing all night. Even the bedsheets smelled like smoke. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the next door hotel guests opening/closing their door/shuffling around etc. And the worst part was the ac didn't work. The room was way too warm and I lowered the temp and tried multiple settings. I was coughing bcs of the smoke and warm because the ac wasn't working and I would wake up to next door noises. I will never stay here again. They need to seriously clean and update their hotel. It's outdated and unclean. read more

Reasonably priced, great location, well sized rooms. You can feel its age a bit thru the vintage european furnishings. Overall it was clean enough and had a decent breakfast selection. The hotel has a small gym and a offsite pool. Parking is plenty. There isn't much else to do on the property itself - so mostly good as a place to rest up. Only negative was that they seem to be short staffed at the front desk. It takes awhile for check in - a bit outdated process. Recommendations: Change your snack bar to self checkout. This hotel checks all the boxes so there's no doubt in my mind we will back again and again. Never mind it being close to the freeway cause it was very quiet and peaceful the entire time. Parking was easy and close. The rooms were super clean and the bed and pillows were fresh and comfortable. The ambiance felt upscale with a touch of vintage charm, honestly really beautiful decor I really hope they don't change this vibe. Every staff member was wonderfully kind and hospitable. The breakfast variety was NEXT LEVEL. The flavor was impressive. Truly very impressed with this hotel to say the least. Booked this hotel for one night with a couple friends for an event in Rowland Heights. Checked in, went to the room, spacious, clean, cozy, had a mini fridge, sink and coffee bar. The pool is out back overlooking the golf course. There is a small pantry next to the front desk that has snacks, travel essentials, beer, wine, beverages, etc. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Waffle maker, juice machine, coffee with syrups and milk/creamer, fruit cups, scrambled eggs, sausage the day we were there, potatoes, yogurt, oatmeal with toppings, cereal. They offer free parking, and although the hotel is right on the side of the freeway, we did not hear the traffic. The only issue we had was when we returned from the event at night, our bathtub had a good 3-4 inches of water with black floaties in it. When I flushed the toilet, it drained. The next morning it did not back up, but we were on our way home anyway so there was no need to shower. We informed the front desk and they were very apologetic but, hey, it happens and it didn't affect us in any way. read more

This is my go to hotel when I visit family in CA because of its location, immediately off the freeway. I originally found it while looking for a pet friendly hotel. The front desk staff will quickly get you checked in & give you a printed receipt you have to place on the dashboard of your vehicle while parked in their private lot. There is an electric vehicle charging station and parking for large tour buses. A short drive from a Target shopping area, local restaurants and In-N-Out Burger. You can walk up the hill or down the hill, but it's definitely more of a car access area as there are no businesses immediately off the sidewalk. There is no restaurant on premises, breakfast is available in the dining room, off the lobby, during set hours. You will receive a voucher/ ticket you have to show the staff member. All your standard breakfast food items are available. The walls are thin, we've never had to complain but sometimes you can hear the people next door or walking past your room. I've been a fan of Ayres Suites for over 13 years, and this Diamond Bar location was my very first experience with the brand. It left such a strong impression that now, wherever I travel, I always check to see if there's an Ayres nearby. This location remains my go-to whenever we're in town for races--if rooms are available, I book it without hesitation. Ayres properties are consistently well-run, clean, and staffed with genuinely welcoming people. That consistency across locations is one of the reasons I keep coming back. The Diamond Bar team usually delivers that same warmth and professionalism I've come to expect. Our recent stay was tied to a race at Mt. SAC. In the past, our early start times meant missing breakfast and rushing back just in time to check out. This time, my son's race was later in the meet, so we were able to enjoy breakfast--but it meant cutting it close to the noon checkout. When we checked in, I asked Breana at the front desk if a late checkout (between 12:30 and 1:00 PM) might be possible. She was friendly and reassuring, saying it should be fine and to just remind the front desk before heading out. The next morning, I spoke with Sylvia at the desk to confirm the late checkout. She was pleasant but firm--absolutely no late checkouts allowed. I explained our situation, but she cited fairness to the cleaning staff and referenced other teams staying at the hotel. Despite clarifying that we were just one room, her stance didn't budge. I respected her position and moved on. After the race, I drove back quickly and arrived at 12:02 PM. As expected, our room cards were deactivated. Sylvia reactivated them but emphasized that this was not a late checkout, and we had only a minute or two. She mentioned a staff member had already been sent to check the room and told us to "just ignore him." We retrieved our bags and checked out without issue. I did notice cleaning staff still working in other rooms, so it's clear the noon deadline isn't a hard stop for all. Despite that hiccup, the stay was otherwise excellent. Room 122 was spotless and well-stocked. The bedding was a standout--so soft and comfortable that I slept pain-free for the first time in months. I usually wake up every 15-30 minutes due to hip and leg pain, but not here. I slept like a baby. Breakfast was typical for a complimentary hotel spread. The scrambled eggs tasted like the usual liquid mix, but the variety was decent, and the kitchen staff were friendly and polite. All in all, it was a pleasant stay. I just wish we'd had that extra half-hour to avoid the post-race scramble. We'll be racing here several more times in the coming years, so I'll need to plan better next time. Ayres Suites Diamond Bar remains my first choice--and I still recommend it highly. read more

Husband has been here for work trips. My visit was during his second out of third week at this property. Decided to take advantage of the great weather and took the motorcycle out. Well lit parking lot in the evening and no riff raff activities to be concerned about. Since I rode the moto out here and hubby took his truck- I beat him here with ample time to enjoy the cozy fireplace in the lobby. I was greeted warmly by the front desk. There's a welcoming decent once you enter the lobby area and I couldn't figure out what it was. Same thing when you enter your room. Found out it matched the white tea tree aroma that's available in the shower dispensers for body bath! Had a spacious king sized bed with a sofa, microwave, mini fridge. The tub was huge enough to be a jacuzzi tub! I even brought my Lush bath bomb (didn't get to use it, sadly). Breakfast buffet was delicious! One serving per hotel guest. Can never go wrong with waffles! They even have flavored syrups for your coffee! read more

The night staff was great, service, friendliness and all. It was the general manager (the worst) and a day front desk person that were rude. Keep in mind, we were staying here in the middle of an out of state move with animals, a kid and all of our belongings. Online, I booked a 2 queen bed room with 2 dogs and an early check-in (called an "enhancement"). When we arrived, I showed them our reservation from my phone & they told us that they didn't have early check in. We wouldn't have left our other hotel so early had we know, but that's okay. We waited in the car with our animals for a couple hours while they got a room ready. They gave us a 2nd floor room. The next morning, the general manager, Christy, called the room & told my daughter that they needed to come to the front desk right away because we were hiding dogs in the room. I thought this would be easy enough to resolve by showing them our online booking that CLEARLY showed that we asked for a room WITH dogs. So, I ended my work call early and went down stairs to clear it all up. Instead, she continued to accuse us of hiding the dogs & told us that we needed to immediatly move all of our belongings & animals if we wanted to avoid a double charge. I needed to stop everything I was during for work to pack up what we had just unpacked the night before & move it all while my spouse was at work herself. Things happen, I get it. More interactions with this GM happened. It wasn't the moving everything or the miscommunication, it was the rudeness, accusing us of lying, even though I had proof otherwise. I'm not sure how this person is able to run a hotel with this approach to guest serivce. To top it off, we were charged almost 200 extra dollars (resolved) but never received an apology from the GM, even when prompted during conversations & email. Stayed here the other night and it was a decent experience. Booked indirect and there were slight challenges upon check-in. The Gen Z check-in agent was talented, in uniform, and wearing a mask as well as coughing without covering their mouth... When reviewing the check-in folio, it was interesting that the printout was higher than my e-mail confirmation. The agent honored the e-mail which was slightly bizarre... The property is well kept and massively upgraded although there are still areas such as the lift that hasn't been upgraded and showing its age. The carpets in the hallway and suites were thick with premium under-pad for a more premium feel. Despite being right next to the 60 freeway, the rooms were quiet as there seemed to be a second dual-pane window to minimize noise. The ductless air conditioner was also extremely quiet throughout the evening. Challenges for the stay included the paper thin walls. For example, it felt like I was in the middle of the conversation for the room on each side of me which was odd. I could hear every word from their conversation as well as their music/tv. The mattress itself was worn out and a lower-tier bonnell spring. Water pressure in the shower was decent although the soap and shampoo had minimal lather and suds. Wifi worked well and was complimentary. The TV in the room was massive and had a wide variety of premium business channels. Self-parking was complimentary in the private lot with a receipt from the front desk at check-in. Breakfast was monitored by the staff and consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Quality was better than usual although it was still more for budget-conscious consumers. Premium elements of the room included crown molding, premium baseboards, a wet bar including a fridge and microwave along with an electronic safe inside the closet. read more

You will not find a better hotel at a good price besides Ayres. I have stayed at the Yorba Linda location and now Diamond Bar (in California), incredible customer service, great rooms and pricing. Ayres Suites Diamond Bar was a very pleasant stay for a decent value. Rooms are clean! They'll clean your room daily if that's your preference, unlike the hotel up the street with initials H.I.E... Beds are comfy. Shower is decent, though to step in tub is unusually high. Some rooms to face freeway, but noise is definitely less than previously mentioned nearby competitor. And there's a complimentary breakfast, though it's the exact same items every day (hey, get creative and make an egg sandwich or something). Staff was great, especially wonderful lady at front desk who helped me extend my stay one night for a cheaper price than the app I originally used to book (for the extension). There's a pleother of restaurants a short drive down the street. I already had repeat stay at Ayres Suites Diamond Bar and would definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff at young lady at the front desk was awesome. She was solo and handled a group of people very well. She checked me as soon as she could. If available, ask for the rooms facing Mt Baldy. Such great views. I stated in a king room. Very spacious. Everything was clean and well stocked. The ac was also set to a comfy temp. I had my breakfast before making my way out. It was set up very well and there was plenty to choose from. Pancakes. Eggs. Sausage. Potatoes. Fruit. Waffles. Yogurt. Coffee. Juices. Much more. Very rude staff. Stayed here for 4 nights and regret it. Never have I ever had an experience like the one I just did. I was 7 minutes past my check-out and three people were standing outside our door knocking and at rudely starring at my family. This hotel is homophobic and not a safe space. John is the worst person there, he contentiously knocked on our door, yelling. He stood outside the door the entire time which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. This hotel is ideal place if you're looking for a safe, clean, dog-friendly, spacious hotel not too far away from nearby suburbs. This is one of the few "normal-priced" hotels in this area that welcomes big dogs for a fee, and for that alone, it stands out. I liked that it was also in a safe and convenient suburban area. They were wonderful to my dog and have a great dog fee policy, where it's an added charge, but a weekly one. The room was extremely spacious. The TV was huge. There was a lot of floor space. The bathroom had a clean and large jacuzzi tub, plus a sink counter area that was separate from the toilet/tub area. Inside the room, there was a nice kitchen area with an extra sink, microwave and refrigerator, which made it great for a multi-day stay. The pool is heated. The dog relief area is spacious and beautiful (unlike the square of astroturf you'll find at many hotels). The breakfast had many options from healthy cereals and yogurt to hot eggs and pancakes, making for great variety if you were staying for many nights. Parking seemed safe as well. All of the hotel staff I encountered were friendly and knowledgeable too. I will definitely stay here again! read more

Seemed a bit outdated. The walls were so thin we heard the upstairs neighbors pounding and running late at night. The breakfast was good. Location was good besides the freeway noise. Good thing our room was on the other side in the front. The pool was decent, has a couple visitors from a mouse and a bat. read more

Really affordable hotel for the quality. We had an exceptional 6 night stay. Very friendly staff, helpful. Happy hour Monday- Thursday complimentary was a nice touch. Food was really good for breakfast my only complaint is that it was the exact same thing everyday. We were hoping it may be changed up a little on the weekend or something, but there was plenty to choose from and it was tasty. We also realize not everyone stays for an extended period of time like we did. Otherwise, everything was wonderful! Clean facilities! The jet tub in the room was also so nice and deep. There is ample parking on both weekdays and weekends, free of charge. The beds were good beds, the pillows were not great and highly recommend bringing your own pillow. But they provided plenty of pillows/blankets/towels. There is a code safe in the closet and nice hangers. There is a fairly larger dresser as well we were able to put all of our clothes for the week into it no problem. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. You can tell the hotel itself really valued customer experience because every staff member was extremely warm and helpful. We did not use the pool because were occupied with events, but it is outdoors and fenced in. It appeared to be very nice visually. I've read some complaints about paper thing walls, but personally I did not have that experience. It was a quiet and family friendly hotel. Really well decorated and cozy. Would stay here again one hundred percent! We have family in the area so we will be returning on our next trip down. read more

Upon arrival, the hotel concierge was very welcoming, warm and professional. Checked me into my room quickly and provided hotel information. She served me a nice glass of wine and gestured me over to where the light snacks were located. She was just as professional to my son who had walked in shortly after I arrived and provided him a beverage and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. My son is a starving College Freshman who was on his first day of Spring Break, so we was elated upon arrival. The hotel concierge customer service was the best thing about our stay. The professionalism ended there, frankly. The Housekeepers were the loudest and most unprofessional housekeepers I have ever experienced in all of my travels and hotel stays over the years. They opened my hotel room door at 8am and yelled -- "housekeeping!" -- luckily I had the door lock so they could not enter. Then proceeded to slam the door and each and every door on my floor as they entered and left each room. The housekeepers on the floor above me stomped their feet and banged so my things around the room that my family and I could not go back to sleep --although we needed some additional rest due to all of the vacation activities. I ended up calling the front desk to complain about the noise which continued. Housekeeper was horrible. Will leave Yelp review for this location to call out housekeeper so hotel management can remedy the situation. We usually stay at Ayres in Yorba Linda and tried this location out for the first time. I do appreciate the concierge's service and accommodation upon hotel check-in but not sure I'll be back to this location. read more

We were in town for funeral services in Southeast LA and all the places I checked out online had reviews showing bed bugs and bites and overall disgusting pics. This place was a 30 minute drive from our destination but it was worth it. Rooms were clean, well equipped, and had a great view of the 60 fwy. The staff was friendly and very welcoming, the chef in the kitchen very helpful during breakfast. The hotel itself has a great ambiance, I'll 100% drive to stay here whenever I visit LA. read more

First time here. Stayed 3 nights in an ADA room with two queen beds on the ground floor. Room and bathroom were very clean overall and recently refurbished. Requests for more towels were met with immediate response. Flooring in the room looks to have been recently replaced with a wood panel looking flooring instead of carpet, which was appreciated. Hot breakfast served daily, with several other grab and go options that pleased all 4 of us. Not the largest room (maybe because there was 4 of us it seemed crowded) but it was a pleasant experience--very clean room with expanded cable channels and comfortable beds. read more

Picking this hotel was a last-minute decision as we were scrambling to find where to stay for a few nights of rest after surgery. You walk into the lobby toy lovely sight of tasteful furnishings and classical music. Has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. You walk into the lobby and there's beautiful classical music playing. The decor is just inviting, clean, and beautiful. Our room was very tasteful, beautifully matching furnishing and most importantly, CLEAN. There is a small gym on the third floor that provides everything needed for a good workout. Outside there is a pool and Jacuzzi. The pool is a little bit small but not too bad. It was super impressive that both the pool and a Jacuzzi have a chair lift for anyone needed to be lifted in and out of the pool. Near the lobby there was the breakfast room, which I don't remember the actual name of the room. We got breakfast every day day. Basics like scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, oatmeal with all the fixings, pancakes, bacon, and sausage, and assortment of juices, fruit, and muffins, and DIY waffle makers. Basic food but not bad at all. Monday through Thursday they have social hour in the lobby. Both days were were able to go down, there was a nacho station and we got to pick a free beer or glass of wine. We were so happy with our stay, we stayed two more nights. There was an amazing error in the booking and the kind lady (I think her name was Jessica) was super helpful in fixing it. Love this place! We will be back. read more

She ended up resolving the problem for us and Overall, because of her we will reconsider staying again in the future. Avoid this place at all costs! I have no idea why this place is rated with a 4.5 on google!! My first time ever having to deal with unprofessional staff. We started by calling the front desk about getting someone to change our bedsheets because we found a blood stain or a brown poo stain on the mattress cover sheet. The person at the front desk was ok and told us she was going to send someone. Afterwards, we wait a good 10 mins at 11 pm and no one shows up. One of the staff members walked by, I don't know his name but he was super rude to my wife after us asking for a "bed sheet". He then rudely asks my wife for the size of the sheet asking "queen! Or king!?". She was unsure and said a double and he responded rudely to her saying... "Then it's a queen!" unbelievable!! After this, he gives my wife a blanket cover sheet (not what I needed). I was so furious the way he spoke to my wife that I went to the front to deal with this because she clearly didn't communicate this to anyone and I didn't want anyone else to come and disturb us because we were still angry. I ended up telling the front desk not to send anyone anymore we were given the wrong sheets and will just have the cleaners come tomorrow to change the sheets. He was there next to her for the longest time and responds by saying "that's not what you asked for!". Situations like this would have one simple solution, an apology.. everything would have been fine! Is it really that hard? The reason for this update is we've got to say something about how bad the breakfasts are. I'll recap our experiences into pros and cons. Pros: - Location: Very convenient to major roads in the area.  Highways 57 and 60...as well as local thoroughfares...were easily accessible.  A large office park is across the street.  Gas stations and low-mid price restaurants are about 1/2 mile in both directions along Golden Springs Drive. -   Exterior and Parking:  Attractive and clean.  Parking was plentiful, but get a spot near the main door since rooms are only accessible from the front lobby. - Reception Desk:  Unfailingly friendly and helpful. Ayres hires good people. - Price and Value: Reasonable. We paid $143 per night for Thanksgiving, Friday and Saturday. Overall, it was lower than the going rate for nearby comparable properties Cons: -   Breakfast:  Disappointing. If your idea of gourmet is Denny's, you'll be okay here. They've got the usual standard starchy and fatty things, but are very slow to restock...possibly because only 2 people handle everything. Example: The small tub of sliced fruit was empty so I reminded one of the women. It was still empty 15 minutes later. With a few exceptions over the years, the hot oatmeal has always been a watery and tasteless mess. They used to offer 3 kinds of cold cereal, but are now down to 2. Juice from a machine is just too sweet so I just wash it down with a glass of ice cold water. One problem (as I see it) not related to food at breakfast: They always have Fox "News" on the TVs mounted high on the walls. Management's preferred channel? Ayres? Trump's? - Room: Cutting corners. Overall, the rooms are okay. Housekeeping cleans and tidies up each day. However, if you prefer a daily vacuuming, more than 3 bath towels for 2 people and, possibly, clean sheets (although I can't be sure about that)...you may be disappointed. The TV gets lots of channels, but the numbering system is very weird. Why 54-47? What happened to 54, 55, 56, etc? Controlling the cooling and heating system is also a bit of a challenge. A remote is used, but the whole system is more complicated than it needs to be. - Hallways: Need more frequent cleaning. I realize keeping the hallways clean when people are trampling back and forth can be outside the control of management, but vacuuming other than when cleaning the rooms would be a good idea. All kinds of stuff accumulates during the day. We found the top of a pen and paper clip near our door one afternoon. I always ask the same question after choosing a hotel or restaurant...."would we go there again"? Maybe, but not after trying another place in the neighborhood. read more

Our room had such a bad mold smell 2nd floor we had to sleep with the windows open all night which by the way they don't open much. So we basically had to sleep with the horrible smell. The reception was extremely rude and unprofessional after requesting a different room her basic answer was " I cant once you get a room thats it" Horrible customer service from her. i actually witnessed her being rude to the previous guest as well. Ive stayed at multiple Ayres and love all of them and usually look for them when in South Cal. However this location was extremely disappointing I will definitely not be back or recommend this specific location read more

Ayer's was a little hard to find the first time. Has a small driveway amid a bunch of construction. But very nice when I got inside. Staff excellent. Rooms wonderful. Spacious. The room had two queens, desk, dresser, fridge and microwave. Bed impeccable and pillows were fabulous. Breakfast better than most with attentive chef watching everything. Lobby very pleasant. Unfortunately not many restaurants nearby if you are on foot but most anything can be had within 10 miles. read more

Ayres is probably a really big step up for most hotels that will allow dogs. There's a $45 fee for dogs under 45 lbs and tonight we brought our small mixed breed and got nothing but great service. Our first room smells like dog piss and so they change this out to a different room with no problem, even considering it's New Year's Eve and the property is largely sold out. We are now in a handicapped access room which just means that the showers and the closet is a little bit lower but other than that it's cool. The front desk lady Estephanie is very nice and accommodating, even when we asked to have the iPod stop change because the one that was in this room was old and didn't fit my boyfriend's new iPhone. read more

Very pleased with my stay at this hotel. First of all the people at the front desk are so nice and have great customer service and the room was so clean and comfortable I felt like I was on vacation. I was in the same neighborhood but I felt like I was away. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful and nice. The Jacuzzi and pool felt good and the view of the golf course was magnificent. I enjoyed this hotel and will come back again. Masks and social distancing was enforced. read more
