Take 5 doesn't just offer terrible service -- they actively destroy vehicles and then duck all responsibility. My experience was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The so-called "technicians" at Take 5 clearly have no training, no attention to detail, and no accountability. After a routine oil change, my engine catastrophically failed -- seized, dead, gone -- because they either added the wrong amount of oil or none at all. When I brought this up, their response was textbook corporate gaslighting: deny, deflect, and delay. They refuse to own up to their negligence even when presented with professional evidence of their mistake. On top of that, the customer service is an absolute joke. The staff is rude, dismissive, and clearly trained to stall and mislead rather than help. I called their "corporate support" and got nothing but runarounds and excuses. And forget about their so-called "warranty" -- it's not worth the paper it's printed on. They'll find any excuse to reject a claim, even when it's clearly their fault. Let's be clear: Take 5 is not just incompetent -- they are a liability. Letting them near your vehicle is like handing your keys to a wrecking crew. There's a reason they have hundreds of BBB complaints and a reputation for ducking accountability. Do yourself -- and your vehicle -- a favor: stay far, far away. THREE TIMES IS ENOUGH. First, I want to say that the staff was friendly and understanding...and that's the good part, NOW. I stopped in to get an oil change on Tuesday November 18th. The young man who greeted me handed me a bottle of water, and told me that it would be an hour before I could get in, he told me I could wait or come back. I chose to come back in an hour, upon which he told me it would be ANOTHER hour. I have a son who was at practice and had to return so I had to leave. The guy told me 7:00 a.m. was a good time to get right in. 7:00 I was there when the doors open, "our computers won't work, could be a few minute..." I sat there for 10 minutes in the bay, a young woman said,"Sir, do you have anything going on today, could you come back in an hour?" Um, YEAH, I have stuff going o, I've been doing this long enough. I left the place unserviced. At any rate, the people that worked there were very nice, so that's why this is getting two stars. But if you're going to run a business based on 10 minute oil changes, this isn't a great business model. read more

Literally sitting waiting watching two people service one car at a time. Been here for almost 30 min just waiting in one of the bays. Why have two people work on one car at a time? Idk. But this will be my last time here. Not supposed to wait this long for a service that's supposed to be fast. Went here after work last Thursday 4/4/24 to get an oil change. Kids working changed my oil, but could not change the filter thoughthey tried for like 15 mins. So I asked what's wrong they told me to take it back to the last place that I had the oil changed. They also told me that the car was safe to drive and that th existing filter would make my oil dirty faster but 100% safe to drive. I left and a couple miles from my house I lost all oil, though I was probably losing oil the whole way. I've tried t call the shop, I've revisited the shop I've called there customer service center at least a hundred times. No one is willing to communicate a repair. read more

My husband and I took his vehicle in at the beginning of March, we had been there before and had no issues so why not, WRONG!!! When we left all,of a sudden the check engine light came on so we turned around and went back, spoke to who we thought was the supervisor/manager, big guy, and explained to him that something is wrong that wasn't there before what did you guy do? We had gotten not just an oil change but the air filter replaced as well and had noticed that the guy doing was having some issues but thought they knew what they were doing. The manager hook up our car so a sensor and it came up that something else was wrong and he was insistent that they did everything correct. We go to drive the next day it is barely drivable. We took the car to a repair shop and they took the air filter out and it looked like someone completely shoved it into the car, what was once a cylinder shape product was now oval. We tried calling 5 minute oil change several times and nothing, tried calling the corporate office and nothing, so a simple oil change has now now cost my husband and a couple hundred dollars. read more

I had never gone to one of these quick drive through style places after almost leaving one years ago and finding the technician did not tighten the filter. Anyway, I figured well I have to get back home and I like to keep on top of my maintenance (live almost 200 miles from this place) well I got home and my vehicle suddenly died - I have only 112,422 miles on the engine. Well the engine had less then half a quart in it. I called the number on my receipt and got no call back. I called the store and spoke to the manager. He stated "your make of car oil goes in the intake all the time you can Google it and you'll see it happens all the time." Nope, it does not. I have never had that issue before. Anyway, without even an apology from them, I hung up was very disappointed. Anyway, my son got things squared away and it is fine now. read more

Quick and easy oil change and the people were nice and they even used a coupon when I didn't have one

I usually take my car to Greulich's down the street but I typically have to drop it off for a couple hours, which is normally not a problem. I needed an oil change sooner rather than later and didn't have a convenient day or time to be without my car for a couple hours, so I came here for the convenience of getting in and out quickly. Customer service was pretty good, aside from all the pushy upselling, but the price was nearly double what I usually pay at Greulich's. Probably won't bring my car back here purely due to the cost. read more

I saw a $15 off coupon for an oil change and, even though Take 5 was quite a ways further than Brakes Plus where I usually get it changed, it seemed like it would be cheaper. I called to make sure of the price and was told $84.99 less the coupon would be $69.99 + tax for premium synthetic oil. I thought that was good as Brakes Plus was $79. I made an appointment and when I showed up and they had my air filter out, etc... they told me it was going to be well over $100 + tax. I explained I talked to someone on the phone and told them about the $69. They said "ya, we've had a lot of problems with out phone people and they don't know about the new price". I was so mad that I drove 8 miles one way and was going to be charged about $25 more so told them to put the air filter back in and I was leaving. Then, they wanted to match the price I was given but I was so upset I said no thanks I'll go to Brake's Plus a few blocks from my house as I know they will do a good job. Trying to get my oil changed but you can't contact anyone at the location or their corporate headquarters. stopped in and was told the oil I use would be in at noon that same day. stopped by the next day and again no oil. tried calling the location on Gantzel but nobody ever answers, UNBELIEVABLE. they need to change their name to 96 hour oil change. contacted corporate and they want to send me a 50% of coupon. 50% off 0, you figure it out. These kids working here hate their job. No leadership. They closed down 6 minutes early and stalled to tell me they closed the computers down and couldn't do my oil change. Didn't give them a hard time because they are young but would not recommend. They will huff and puff if it's before close. I have used this facility and location for the past 3 oil changes and I most say that I have had 3 great experiences; during my last visit last week, I had Brodie and Cody take care of my car.
