Uh oh... After…read morespending more than $15000 to have a new, metal, insulated garage door put in, we've reason to wonder if we made a bad mistake. Everywhere else we go in any of 4 vehicles, we can open garage doors from as far away as 1/4 of a mile; the same applies to gate security devices. This brand new garage door motor and master control unit won't open the door from any of the four vehicles parked outside in the driveway, 4 feet from the master control unit. Each of the technicians who has come here to troubleshoot the system have literally worn out the door-opening units in our vehicles, repeatedly blaming the vehicles. Blaming our vehicles? The vehicle is too old. No. One of the vehicles was purchased a week before the new garage door was installed, and its door opener works at three different houses and five security fares. The vehicles have an incompatible type of garage door opening software/hardware. No. One of the houses we go to has a newer master control unit built by the same company. Bravo Sierra. We were also sold numerous exterior and interior security cameras : half of the outdoor cameras refuse to work more than momentarily. We spent $700 to obtain what should have been the hardware fix for this problem, but guess what? Our hardware is the problem: a little research has shown that the manufacturer withdrew this model of camera 3 1/2 years ago, so I guess A1 Garage Door had to clean out their stocks... Worse yet, the AI receptionist reports that the company does not service these cameras which they sold to us and installed recently. What wasn't revealed until A F T E R we signed and paid for the contract was that we have to pay $62/month for software and services to run those very same cameras. No mention of it before, verbally or in writing. No disclosure whatsoever. Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware. A few very good technicians. Some very good products. But now that the question about company integrity has been answered... .

Told me the torquemaster spring couldn't be replaced. Called Ramirez told me he could replace both springs at a fraction of the price. No kidding he came early and had the job done in less than an hour. He also lubed all my hinges and garage door purrs like a kitten. Had no idea it could be that quiet. The previous day I had Precision / Smokey's Garage Door come out and the tech David told me the springs could not be adjusted only replaced and also recommended replacing the opener and a number of additional parts instead of replacing the belt. Alas... many years later I made the dumb mistake of leaving a 6' ladder against the garage door side rail. Stupid. Never imagined I would forget it was there and close the door on it. Yep. I did. They ended up calling and asking if I wanted it even earlier at 10AM. They ended up having to replace a broken spring plus the other spring that was about ready to go along with bearings and the wheels. Everything was done and fixed by 10:45AM, so it was less than 3 total hours from noticing the problem to having a solution. I can't say enough about how quick and professional they were. Jason was able to diagnose the issues in literally seconds and he kept me aware of the process and I didn't feel in the dark about anything. Pricing was consistent with what you'd expect from competitors as well. Just an all around great experience and I couldn't recommend them more.
