Avondale Garage Door guys were great! I live far away from Avondale but it wasn't a problem. My friend suggested trying them. Once I called they got back to me right away. They had to custom make some springs for me and got everything made and installed in 48 hours. They did exactly what they said they would. When the motor was making some noise after they were finished, they stayed and adjusted it until I was satisfied. Their price was better than the previous company I used for 25 years. They no longer do residential, but they did the same work previously and charged me more money. These guys have earned my business! Avondale Garage Doors came to the rescue insanely fast! We had an incident where the garage door ended up off the track and a few other parts needed to be fixed. Within 10 minutes of calling AGG, Michael showed up at our front door ready to work. Walked through with a purpose and then assessed our damaged door. Gave us a quote and was ready to fix it. Maybe (MAYBE) 20 minutes later, our garage door was back on track, cable was put back on the drum correctly and the roller was fixed. This was an IMPECCABLE job done by Michael & the company. After a microburst destroyed our garage door, we reviewed yelp and next door, and, due to great reviews, contacted Avondale garage to repair the door. The work was done well, quickly, and Mike was great. Last month, I noticed a bent piece of metal at the top of the door so I called Avondale again. After a second phone call (the first wasn't returned), I sent some requested photos to William. He requested some additional photos so they were sent immediately. I confirmed their reception via email and Jim, the owner called me for some more pictures. He confirmed that they had been received. Later Mike returned to the house to check it out. I have emailed William three additional times, texted Jim twice but no one returns calls- despite a promise to do so. What use to be a honest company is no more! Today had Avondale garage out to fix our garage door. It had been closing hard. It never did that until the last time we had Avondale garage door here to replace opener. My 75 year old mother was taken for 235$ to replace a piece of rubber and wooden trim on side of garage. The tech showed me on his iPad the problem. But I watched as they replaced the trim and the rubber . Then he addresses the garage door by adjusting the closing pressure. He did it in front of me. I realized quickly the trim and rubber had absolute nothing to do with the problem. Instead of being honest they lied! Absolutely shady ass business. We been with them 20 years and after today no more. What I witnessed was clearly robbery ! Taking advantage of someone to make a quick buck. Maybe the rubber and trim need replaced but that wasn't the cause of the problem! Never again! read more

Another company showed up with 4 people and gave us a quote 8 times higher. 2. Customer service is amazing. From the first call till the end. The service technician was great with my grandfather, who is a bit much. He took his time with my grandfather and myself to explain everything. After he left I had an issue with the door, honestly user error. He came right back out and was wonderful. Still had a positive attitude and did not make me feel bad. And the best part is the door they sold us is insulated and a heavier 24-gauge steel compared to the non-insulated thinner doors that were what we were quoted on for more money.
